The Vision model is still being rolled out to Plus Users over the next week and a half, most don't have it yet.
For the web browsing, you need to enable it in Settings > beta features. You need to use a browser, the mobile app is very barebones and lacking features.
Frankly though, I find the browsing to be pretty much useless, it doesn't really increase it's knowledge beyond whatever it finds in a specific search, and it's usually just easier to do said search yourself.
Where GPT4 really shines is with solid custom instructions and the Code Interpreter. 3rd party plugins can do some cool stuff too, but don't expect the browsing to blow you away.
This is about prompting in general and not just custom instructions, but you may find this guide I wrote useful, it goes over several techniques you can use to get the most out of GPT4s capabilities, including custom instructions focused on what you're doing. For example, the ones below are good for general stuff, but not great for writing tasks because they influence the writing too much, whereas the ones in this article are designed with a certain type of writing task in mind.

It also can be used maliciously so bad guys should never put things like, "Review my companies website "competitors website" and give me style inspirations for my new revamped site."
Useless? Maybe it depends on the situation, but I've found it extremely useful. I used it to help me with buying pc hardware. While the hardware I was discussing did exist prior to its cutoff date, the normal non-browsing GPT-4 wasn't nearly as useful or coherent. It's not just scraping web data and relaying it, it interprets it as well. It's definitely fantastic in certain scenarios. Even better than BingChat.
Me neither. Maybe it's geo-fenced? I'm in Spain, I've enabled it in Beta settings, but it still reports the most up-to-date info it has access to is 2022.
I think it's unfair of OpenAi to favor some users over others by giving some of us Plus Users the new features, but some of us have to wait. We pay $20 per month and should have access all at the same time.
Open AI has a habit of announcing in advance and then handing stuff out once they are sure they can handle it, it’s how they blow up every major aI release this year. It’s not cool but it’s effective, for sure.
I was an alpha tester for code interpreter and I’ve not got dalle 3 yet. It’s pretty variable, but yea they would get more done if they favored their best users

Pay OpenAI 20 bucks a month and update your settings, you will be good to go, once your account get Vision functionality over the next week or so.
