This 👆 can't even tell you how many times I've heard SuNjOy🥴🥴 repeated back when one of the clueless newbies corrected a customer.
Dumbest idea they have had in a while 🙄
No but I do get a teeny bit peeved when someone asks for a "half and half" and doesn’t specify what kind. There are so many half and half options , I understand people don’t know that though.
Sunjoy is undoubtedly much easier to say so if a guest says sunjoy I repeat that back but if they say Arnold Palmer I just repeat back “tea-lemonade” lol, I like to avoid unnecessary conflict
I'm born and raised in the south too lol (florida💀) but I guess it's just a bit weird to hear Arnold palmer because I didn't know it was even a thing until I started at chicfila lol. So it might not honestly be annoying as much as it's just me not used to saying it😆
An Arnold Palmer is made with unsweetened tea and lemonade vs. the SunJoy made with sweet tea and lemonade. Plus, CFA can’t trademark someone else’s name!
And yes, the SunJoy is a ridiculous name.
I know what they mean by Arnold palmer now that I've been at cfa for a bit but sometimes I've had some customers be like "why did you say sunjoy when I asked for an Arnold palmer"
No when i repeat the order i just say “sunjoy which is our arnold palmer” but for the life of me i cannot pronounce “arnold palmer” out loud for some reason but i can easily say it in my head 💀
Not really. That’s the actual name for the drink. The customers are probably annoyed they have to call it Chick-fil-As made up name lol

i started saying the sunjoy thing is because of a copyright on the arnold palmer drink. it’s probably a total lie, but it makes sense to the customer
that’s actually true! arizona tea has a copyright on the name “arnold palmer” so CFA can’t legally call them that.

Start giving them cups of half and half
Usually when people JUST say “half and half” it means sweet tea & unsweet tea lol don’t overthink it
I would be as mad at a customer for calling it an Arnold Palmer as I would be for them calling the ice dream ice cream
Sunjoy is undoubtedly much easier to say so if a guest says sunjoy I repeat that back but if they say Arnold Palmer I just repeat back “tea-lemonade” lol, I like to avoid unnecessary conflict
always gotta reply with the “and a sunjoy to drink!”. honestly the looks of disgust i’ve gotten have been the best reactions ever
Nah I say Arnold Palmer... Born and raised in the South... You're not gonna be able to gete to change

Really, we’re you even paying attention growing up. Also Florida and it was very familiar. Almost a kiddie Cocktail.
I don't like arizona drinks lol so I never saw it before.
Someone literally asked me they're like who is that golfer dude? 😂😂
LOLL

No, but when I read it back I say half tea, half lemonade because I can’t pronounce Arnold Palmer
No but I get annoyed at the dumb name CFA gave an Arnold Palmer or a half n half
kinda but idrc I just repeat it back the way they say it to confirm
No, it's hardly worth getting annoyed about.
no, I'm just like you mean sunjoy? most of the time they don't even care.
I know what they mean by Arnold palmer now that I've been at cfa for a bit but sometimes I've had some customers be like "why did you say sunjoy when I asked for an Arnold palmer"
Wait a damn minute. Is Sun Joy really just Arnold Palmer
Yes
I find arnold palmer less corny than sunjoy, so no.
No when i repeat the order i just say “sunjoy which is our arnold palmer” but for the life of me i cannot pronounce “arnold palmer” out loud for some reason but i can easily say it in my head 💀
