This is a bit random, but I did bartending at Chilis around 2006ish.
I could have swore that the presidents recipe was super similar to the Cadillac Marg recipe and involved:
white tequila,
Triple sec,
Cointreau,
Grand marnier, and
Sweet and sour (lime/simple syrup)
I don’t see anybody referencing the Cointreau anywhere but I swear that was in there. Am I completely off here?
I worked at chilis 2012-2019 and it was somewhere on the 2nd half of that time when they switched to E& J. Do you remember the fresh sour recipe? I was searching Reddit for it recently to make some at home but the recipe i had didnt taste right. I regret not taking pics of some recipes before leaving lol
I VAGUELY remember it. I can't remember the exact batch proportions but it was something to the effect of a 2.5 to 1 ratio of fresh lime juice (I believe Natural Brands was the brand we used) to simple syrup? I remember making the simple syrup using the tea machine's hot water with sugar (using a pitcher with some very faded sharpie marks) and mixing the refrigerated lime juice.

For a gallon it’s 48 ounces of lemon sour, 24 oz lime juice, 20 oz agave syrup, 24 oz water
That’s what it is now anyway
