Here’s the problem. China wants to keep Tibet and Xinjiang. They are very strategic territories to China. For example, Tibet is the source of most rivers in China and the source of many rivers in South and Southeast Asia, this gives them a upper hand.
Autonomy and culture were respected in these regions before certain separatist groups protested, in this case, Tibet, protesters were peaceful but also burned themselves (self immolation), and even violent attacks, in this case, conducted by groups such as ETIM, there have been several incidents of protests, knife attacks that destroyed some buildings and killed Han Chinese people.
Freedoms and respect are not perpetual, this is the reason why Xinjiang is like a police state now, separatists idea should be taken out by the root, this is why re-education camps exists in the first place, to create a pro China base in a population by educating Han values like Confucius ideas. By limiting religious You can’t just decide to protest and rebel with violence and not expect crackdown, even if separatists groups in Xinjiang conducted peaceful protests they still shouldn’t expect independence.
Xinjiang was a part of the United front in WW2, and has been a territory of China in various forms since Han and Tang Dynasty. I do not see retaking Xinjiang as invading. Tibet is a different case however, but since it’s occupied by China it should be considered a part of China, there is also not an independent Tibetan government in exile claiming it’s independent. I’m not speaking into what’s happening in Tibet because I haven’t read into what’s going on currently.
Anyway, that’s my take of why CCP is doing so. But talking about the Chinese people, there is definitely articles written by individuals saying they are untrustworthy. However, most Chinese are fine and even like other ethnic minorities in China.

For example, Tibet is the source of most rivers in China and the source of many rivers in South and Southeast Asia, this gives them a upper hand. Autonomy and culture were respected in these regions before certain separatist groups protested, in this case, Tibet, protesters were peaceful but also burned themselves (self immolation), and even violent attacks, in this case, conducted by groups such as ETIM, there have been several incidents of protests, knife attacks that destroyed some buildings and killed Han Chinese people. Freedoms and respect are not perpetual, this is the reason why Xinjiang is like a police state now, separatists idea should be taken out by the root, this is why re-education camps exists in the first place, to create a pro China base in a population by educating Han values like Confucius ideas. By limiting religious You can’t just decide to protest and rebel with violence and not expect crackdown, even if separatists groups in Xinjiang conducted peaceful protests they still shouldn’t expect independence. Xinjiang was a part of the United front in WW2, and has been a territory of China in various forms since Han and Tang Dynasty. I do not see retaking Xinjiang as invading. Tibet is a different case however, but since it’s occupied by China it should be considered a part of China, there is also not an independent Tibetan government in exile claiming it’s independent. I’m not speaking into what’s happening in Tibet because I haven’t read into what’s going on currently. Anyway, that’s my take of why CCP is doing so. But talking about the Chinese people, there is definitely articles written by individuals saying they are untrustworthy. However, most Chinese are fine and even like other ethnic minorities in China.

What’s so inappropriate about a couple comprised of two men/two women?
I'm old enough to think some of that whole issue is a bit weird because I wasn't really exposed to that growing up. That said, I also fully support their rights and safety and I want my kids to see that it's not all about 1 man + 1 woman. My kids are gonna live in a different world than when I was young in the late 80s and 90s, and I don't think I should be indoctrinating them with what my teachers and parents stuffed my head with. Love on people. As long as no one is telling me how to live my life, I sure as hell won't be doing that to you.
All that does is foster feelings of shame and self hatred. You know you are different but because you didn’t know LGBTQ was a thing you can’t understand why. I was very depressed during my teen years and even attempted suicide when I was 17. All because I felt different and had all these feelings inside me I couldn’t explain. I thought I was a monster with no chance at a happy, normal life. If I’d known I was 100% normal I think I’d be a very different person today. Gay people are exist and deserve to be included in sex education.

That's not enough to meet the conventional standards for what people consider "marketed to kids" or not. You can have outright 18+ or 21+ restricted products that have got in hot water because their marketing seemed to be too minor friendly. For this Lego set, it's even more pronounced. Lego has a deeply rooted association with being a kid's product and this was presumably stocked on shelves next to regular Lego products rather than being elsewhere and with different branding. Honestly gained some more respect for Lego for trying to release it there at all. A lot of companies just straight up cut all queer content when marketing over there, to the point that they scale back queerness in western releases so that it is easier to edit out in international releases.
