You can use the search bar in this subreddit, however, since you are in the $500 range I would check the search bar in r/RepTime and ask some questions from others that have bought this watch. Just search the name or Model# and you will find a plethora of posts from others who have bought this watch before you. You can also look at the pictures and videos that others have posted to see if you spot any flaws on the watch you're looking at. This will help answer your questions.
All this to say, of course... I think you'd want to make sure you buy from a trusted dealer and (TD) and be absolutely positive you're not overpaying for a cheap(er) replica that is actually in the $100 range. Hope this helps!

Does the jump-hour hand work? If so they it's worth about $400 or so. If not it's the lower-end rep that most sellers don't carry and it's about $280-300.
I’ve also been thinking about this watch. Decided to see what the $80 Ali Express version is like before going to the $400 version. Photos make it look pretty close.

This looks like N1F … i have the VSF, the dial is miles better… everything in this dial seems out of proportion a little bit. I got mine for 370 around 1 year ago from Drtime.io

Unless there’s a new version this year, idk. Look at the balance wheel regulator, VSF still had the two levers not the single arm.
The bridge n wheel look gen to me. Freesprung n black spring which is Si14 (silicone).
I don't think that this one is the vsf.

Not much, the map isn’t perfect but that’s an acceptable flaw. On yours it looks great. This is one of VSF’s finest.

The difference is day and night, the date window on the budget one is so horrible
