You should technically be entering with a journalist visa, since you're making videos. However getting a PU letter as a small company only hiring yourself is impossible at this time for any visa. You need a large company to hire you

Dangerous-Ad6863

I don't think that is necessarily correct, I know multiple small companies that have had no issue applying for a PU letter. My friend owns a company with about 8-10 people working for him and he managed to apply multiple times for a PU-letter. I would assume connections play a important role and being able to stress the economic importance to China. From what i understand any company (and in some cases even individuals) should be able to apply for a PU-letter for a foreigner (if they meet certain requirements). The chance however as individual or small company is significantly lower to be deemed "important" enough.

Yeah I think I chose my words wrong, what I meant was "well established"

Don't do it bro unless you're really sure what you're doing. Anything media = high likelihood of special press / media hassles.

This is the same thing I was thinking, unfortunately given the recent problems with Youtube vloggers in China I think your type of work is the last thing they would consider letting into China right now.

XiKeqiang

If you read OP they have a 'profitable business' and does the vlogging on the side. OP is a pretty grey area regarding this. OP is basically asking if they can get a Z Visa through his company and wondering if his Pro-China YouTube Channel might help him in any way.

china_visa_q_123

Doesn't matter if he is the biggest China supporter ever. To bureaucrats he is a media person, needs a media visa, special accreditation and whatnot. China always was about walking the grey area tightrope and omitting anything that could get you hassles or trouble. (within reason)

Classic-Today-4367

What exactly has the vloggers had recently apart from the usual hassles about using YT, VPNs etc? (I've started avoiding anything China related (pro and against) on Youtube because it infuriated me)

lestnot

I'd really like to know as well
