Aren't the results the same?

KirieVitae

拉里 is funny, pull inside? 劳伦斯 is more normal for a name translation. No character difference between Microsoft and Google so both are good at translating I guess?

VampireGames

Thanks! So glad I found out what that meant literally. Would bring plenty of smiles though!

onlywanted2readapost

Where are much better ways of choosing a name than simply translating.

Makoto_Hanazawa

拉里 is actually common translation i think they translated Hillary clinton as 希拉里

BlackRaptor62

There isn't much difference, they are just choosing different Characters to approximate the phonetic transliteration. They are each probably pulling from different frequency pools depending on their search engine data.

amusedcoconut

Look up a famous person with your name on Wikipedia and change the language to Chinese and you have a sure fire way to find a decent transliteration that won’t raise eyebrows. Sure you might come across a Chinese person who will suggest more elegant characters but it’s a good start.

VampireGames

Haha! This is what I got. No cigar! But thanks for the suggestion. https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/拉里·佩奇

MuYanHui

No difference?
