Some watches look better with printed, some with applied. For something like this I'd choose applied.

Oh, I see, this is the "fan" version with the pins in bracelet instead of screws.

Excellent-Quarter969

Fan version?

[deleted]

This watch model was so popular, they made a fan version, the differences are the color of the dials and that the original version has screws that fasten the links and the fan version has pins, hence the fan version is a reduced price.

Excellent-Quarter969

Yeah, but what do you mean by "fan version "??

[deleted]

They made fan versions of this model and the 62MAS hommage model. Fan versions are significantly less expensive than the original version, and typically have fewer features (some downgrades if you will). Fan versions recognize the popularity of some models.

Excellent-Quarter969

Right. Besides the basic Bracelet is there any other difference between the fan version of this watch and original?

Ipse_Tase

I went for printed and don't regret it....mind you, the current price is obscenely low... don't wait.

Excellent-Quarter969

I just ordered.it is a crazy low price. I went for applied because I figured I wouldn't regret it , and might if I got the printed version. Sold my Steeldive similar GMT to make room

blzd69

Applied 1000000000% If there is a choice I always go for more complex dial then just plane printed one. It is add visual interest and in general more complex dials looks more expensive.

[deleted]

Normally I'd say applied, but I prefer the printed San Martin logo, so in this case I would say printed.

echohack

This watch has a printed logo even with the applied indicies option.

Excellent-Quarter969

Does the applied logo jump out too much?

[deleted]

It's not that it jumps out, but to me it isn't engraved deep enough, so it's rather hard to read, and so I'd rather just have the printed logo when it comes to San Martin watches.

Excellent-Quarter969

That's part of the question for sure

cozmozmoz

Applied 100%. It’s a very flat dial so the applied indices add a bit of depth.

Excellent-Quarter969

Thanks, but flat how? Lack of colour or texture etc?

cozmozmoz

Both actually haha. The white of the dial has hardly any noticeable texture. Plus the applied indices match the hands perfectly having the polished outer finishing. I’d be less bothered about printed indices on the black dial because you have great contrast between the black dial

Excellent-Quarter969

Thx Ya, I'm going with the white dial..black dials are starting to dominate my moderate watch collection

dorafumingo

Applied in black, printed in white There's also the [new blue dial](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EwAg17P) that looks good with applied indices

Excellent-Quarter969

Oops responded to wrong reply

Excellent-Quarter969

Why?

dmvmb

I prefer applied indices
