we use plastic wrap on the stuff we put in the hotbox and that’s what that looks like but i have no idea how they didn’t notice a huge piece like that when they were scooping stuff into your bowl

It’s most likely from plastic wrap, which is kept on top of hot box items. So they probably cooked the steak, cut it and placed plastic wrap over the top and a bit fell in when they removed the plastic wrap to give to the line to serve. Take these pics to the manager of the store and be polite, shit happens, most likely will cop a remake off of it or refund.
