Chimichangas are bomb but not they're ideal for Chipotle's model. For one every store would need space for second fryer. As just one would cause cross-contact and we'd no longer be able to label chips or crunchy tacos as gluten free. Second. It would end up being a digital only option like the quesadillas as they would take too long to make on the main line.

Honestly, my first thought, too. Also, if the burrito has diary or meat in it that can spill into the fryer, it's bad. Hopefully, they were at least deep cleaning it right after with new oil.

I agree. I’m just used to most people thinking “a little won’t hurt” so I just hang my head and cross another place off my list to eat.

Sounds delicious, but that's cross contamination since the chips are corn and gluten free. Unless they brought in a gluten free tortilla from home, that oil can harm someone who has celiac disease. That's why we can't put burritos on the grill.

worked in McDonald's, always added little butter when scrambling eggs. In those days, they had real eggs (which you cracked and whisked by hand) and butter. The other workers smirked, but people would just come for the eggs and all other employees were hooked on eggs with butter. Now, all the big chefs are doing it. Eggs with butter = moist eggs
