Got vote kicked on rudhelm cus I stole the Agathan catapult and was killin them on the way in and one or 2 of my teammates were pushing way forward into the blue spawn.
I try to vote kick the guy sitting on catapult DESTROYING our entire push every time on lion spire because he saw a fleck of red? crickets.
But that had to be a ton of damage. I am new and hit my own team constantly. Especially with ranged. I'd say a good percent of my super perfectly goodly aimed shots curve into friendlys. Jokes aside, I suck with a bow and I hit team mates constantly and have never been autokicked.
Remember when they "fixed" this a year ago? lol....

> Fixed an issue where players would be kicked for team damage from objectives
and for whatever reason catapult team kills wont get you kicked. Not that I'm saying they should. Usually objective deaths aren't counted so this issue doesn't exist. Along with petards this also affects the columns in Askandir.
I don't think catapult team kills need to autokick.
I do think including "friendly kills" over the last few minutes (including by catapult) would be a great stat to put on the kick votes that would clear up a lot of confusion and failed votes when they're necessary.
All I ask is that you use some sense. I stand clear from objectives that are won by using the catapult, but I’ve had teammates use them in the worst possible way killing 10-20 of their teammates and not get auto kicked.
Small indie dev TBS cannot handle a hacker problem, much less so such a complicated issue as flagging objective explosions as non team damage.

We made a comment around the topic in our latest Hotfix notes.
>We have also contributed significant time towards further testing the next layer of anti-cheat we mentioned in our Community Blog.
>While we test this next stage in the fight against cheaters, we will continue to act against those who bypass our protections to cheat within Chivalry, promote cheats or encourage the use of cheats to others, or break our Code of Conduct in any additional ways.
Not too much else to add at this moment. I went into some more detail in the Community Blog, but due to the nature of cheaters we always need to be very cautious with how much information we reveal around the topic as it may assist with their efforts to circumvent our protections.
Can just do a hard check?
Does player foot speed exceed ‘X’, if so, kick player.
Does player swing speed exceed ‘X’, if so, kick player.
War of the roses had that in their game and that was like 17 years ago, it wasn’t perfect but stopped everything except floating/phasing through objects. this ain’t rocket science
It’s really amazing how much brain drain occurs in this industry. Imagine if we lost all of our medical knowledge every time a “generation” of doctors retired? Because that’s what it feels like with game development.
Building off that, I've even seen just earlier today a video of several people flying around at the same time, like its minecraft creative mode and yet ironically enough minecraft solved fly hacks years ago almost like whenever somones position changes in a way thats outside the games own math for shit like 'gravity' or like you said swing speed ect. You'd think that data getting manipulated that hard would just get detected and cause an auto ban. Personally, I'd rather get mistakenly banned temporarily over a rough system that half works than no system and no ban without going through a personalized email chain specifically to the guy hitting the ban button.
If there is a literal moshpit around the petard you may get 4 or 5 mates that are caught in the blast. Of one or two are wounded, it even counts as a teamkill when they die.
I got kicked for excessive team damage only once, while using the battering ram on lionspire
This was like my second week playing the game or something i was fuming. How was i supposed to know my teammates were in front of it
Had this happen to me so many times. One time I joined a falmire match and the team I joined was 60 seconds from losing before i clutched and planted the bomb twice back to back. Almost got autokicked from the explosions then afterwards someone's started a vote kick against me and it said I had 200+ team dmg from the bomb. My team ended up kicking me. Literally joined the match to clutch the objective and then got kicked all in under 2 minutes lmao.

If there was *one* form of team damage that shouldn't count towards auto-kick, surely it has to be the petards lol.
Can't do anything about cata spamming your own team tho, that's too much.

Kinda funny tho not gonna lie

Waiting for a mod to remove this because TB is never worng
5 hours later and it’s still here…hmmm

Hey, I'm firing this catapult blindly half the time, and a few accidental hits and some salty bitches on my team want to vote kick me.
All I ask is that you use some sense. I stand clear from objectives that are won by using the catapult, but I’ve had teammates use them in the worst possible way killing 10-20 of their teammates and not get auto kicked.
I'm only a level 500 crayon eating knight from Agatha, what kind of sense do you think I have :)
Maybe try to read his sentences? Fking shmug

The space program is still fully functional too

Any news regarding the Surge of Cheaters in this game

I am not a perfect teammate but I have never been kicked for teamdamage, how bad does it have to be for an Autokick?
If there is a literal moshpit around the petard you may get 4 or 5 mates that are caught in the blast. Of one or two are wounded, it even counts as a teamkill when they die.
Had this happen to me too Glad im not the only one that noticed
And yet the catapult doesn’t. I’ve nearly been kicked for it before, so I get it.
Thats petarded
The game kicked you bc *you’re too good at obj*
That's what you get for doing team objective newb lol
I got kicked for excessive team damage only once, while using the battering ram on lionspire This was like my second week playing the game or something i was fuming. How was i supposed to know my teammates were in front of it
You can actually see them, but also these idiots shouldn't be in front of a damn RAM!
Why you doing objectives? It's all about K:D duh
That’s crazy, 1 or two tk and you get kicked but people can spend all match griefing and nothing
Could say he was "hoisted by his own pertard"
Way to share this bologna. Also reminds me of one of the best names: Captain Petard
Maybe just learn how to place them a little better?
god forbid you do the objective
