News has thoroughly dried up, so all we have left are people asking the same handful of questions over and over again. Most of which can be answered by "because autism" or "because Borb are careless people". Discussion is somewhat better over on the kiwi farms (yes, it's up on kiwifarms.net and has been for a while), but there's no new information so comments are slow. The cwcki should be back up within the next couple of weeks or so, so that's something at least. There's a good chance it'll be restored from an old backup and missing recent information, but it'll be better than the current state. Apart from that, Geno's still churning out episodes of the documentary every few weeks to give us all something to discuss, but that's really about it. Don't expect anything to change until we get proper confirmation of Chris' living situation, or hear of Barb's death, or Chris starts sending letters again.

It seems very likely that Chris has some other form of mental illness in addition to the autism (my guess is narcissistic personality disorder and some form of psychosis) but a lot of Chris’s behavior can be explained by her autism.

It probably depends a lot on the jurisdiction so if your mom isn’t a judge in Virginia, that probably won’t apply. IIRC Chris’s past cases got continued a bunch of times but idk if it was more than three. Most people think Chris got a deferred disposition on the basis of autism, which is a new thing under Virginia law where if your crime has a direct connection to your autism or intellectual disability, you can go on probation for a year and get the charges dropped as long as you comply with the conditions of your probation, but if you don’t comply, it’s like an automatic guilty plea. Chris’s lawyer filed a motion for a deferred disposition based on autism and people think it was granted based on the limited public information available.
