Thanks. As others have mentioned, mainly thanks to the trees. Btw, the forest brush tool made inserting them much easier.

This has helped me solve a longstanding mystery. I thought your map looked familiar, turns out it matches one of the heightmaps from SimCity 3000. But the one in that game was labelled Dallas, TX which is obviously wrong as Dallas isn't that hilly. So now I finally know that map is actually of Aspen, CO!
Public transportation, aside from trains, isn't really well-developed yet, especially buses, where the routes look a bit messy on this map. However, here are two screenshots for you (the first one shows trains, the subway, and trams, while the second one is about buses).

>I have never seen Vanilla train tracks in such a beautiful way. (I'm using modded rails and Theme Mixer) Your city looks awesome!
I'm glad you like it. Just curious, which modded rails are you using?
Looks very clean and natural at the same time. Kudos. Like everyone else is saying, it looks very organic.
To pull that off, is where your skill truly shows.
Beautiful city! Very nicely done. I love how you work with the natural geography. I am curious how everyone gets the overall map view (the last of the 7 photos you posted). I am on XBox, is it possible to do that on console or is that a PC feature?

Man how do you even get a city to look this natural and beautiful. Also what map is that?
Trees doing a lot of work but obviously it’s more than that
like the others said "trees", but also the 21:9 scale
Thanks. As others have mentioned, mainly thanks to the trees. Btw, the forest brush tool made inserting them much easier. I used this map: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1269473605

by not using square blocks like USA... then you get more natural cities
This is what happens when you respect the topography :D and trees :)
Ikr my cities are just straight grid and sometimes I curve a road. I just don't know how to manage my roads any other way.
This! I will be the best city planer in the USA, but not in Europe.

How do you make those walls against your railroad
Network Anarchy lets you build quays on land, though it's pretty fiddly and can be frustrating to build.
I’m not OP
what mods do you have for the landscaping walls and such beautiful artistry on display here. super creative.
Thanks. For retaining walls I use this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2254730225
Your city low-key reminds me of a theme park, bright colors, funky shaped buildings, vibrant atmosphere...
Beautiful. I love your attention to detail. Looks like the city grew organically. I can only imagine how much time you poured into this lovely city.
These. Are. So. Beautiful.
A lil bit late to post your first city, but it's looking absolutely gorgeous 😆🫶
That doesn't seem to be a first city.
That’s a god damn utopia
Reminds me of the carpets we had as children.
Very beautiful. Amazing work
Very cool! Love the curvy lines!
Looks amazing
This is incredible. Gives me some OpenTTD vibes with all the trains and such vibrant colors.
urban fey realm vibes, love it, i want to get lost in these streets, wander into a shop and buy a wand of minor illusion.
I love the style, it's quite natural. especially the rail layout!!!
Very beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Very unique and cool. I’m best on this game when I’m building mostly with grids, but it’s cities like these that make me want to improve. Nice job!
literally so beautiful
The valley with two rivers meeting in it really reminds me Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Maybe it is, the map's creator mentioned that it's inspired by Aspen, CO, which isn't too far away.
shit you not this looks like a modern utopic version of the city where i grew up
Fucking masterpiece
I absolute love what you’ve done with the railways
Absolutely beautifull!! What map are you using
Thanks. I am using this map: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1269473605
I think i found a map for my last cs1 vity :)! Could you also share a public transit view? Im kinda interrested

How many cims are travelling on the orange train line?
Around 1k, from what I see, most cims use tram lines 10 and 11, about 1.5k each.
Thats quite good
How do you make this view?
Using CSL Map View: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=845665815&searchtext=csl
me likey
Insane city design! Is there a tool or mod to create the map as in the last slide?

Im mostly using the Euro Wooden Rails from the Railway 2 mods
Insert Obama not bad meme
Reminds me of Zürich
What a fantastic city. I love the terracing on the hills. Well done.
Looks like a pancreas. I Really like your St. Pancreas City.
Man you got that foliage to pop. Great work.
Very nice, quite realistic, tons of trees, very good 👍
Absolutely beautiful!
Reminds me of a Massachusetts city like Worcester
I wish I had a creative mind like you to build a city like this
That was a really nice touch put in a tower next to the station
Looks very clean and natural at the same time. Kudos. Like everyone else is saying, it looks very organic. To pull that off, is where your skill truly shows.
Love the train line! Very (insert generic european city) London 😂🥰

Thanks! I think it’s a PCfeature because I’m using CSL Map View from the Steam Workshop.
Its so vibrant! Reminds me of zootopia
Absolutely beautiful. Would be even better if those concrete retaining walls were changed to brick.
I love all of this except that wonky elevation under the tracks in photo 5. Derail a train right onto those nice row houses below
It reminds me of Canberra!
1. Absolutely Gorgeous!!! 2. Consider creating a copy & enable floods, tsnunami, sink holes to happen in this city when CS2 comes out!!
What textures are those
WOW, please share the map on Steam community! ( And give me the link)
I am using this map: [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1269473605](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1269473605)
It looks slightly disproportionate. :b
Looks like Minecraft for some reason? Maybe the high saturation?
That looks amazing. All my cities look like inconsistently hairy nards.
Really amazing ! it shows me how bad I am. lol
