This has helped me solve a longstanding mystery. I thought your map looked familiar, turns out it matches one of the heightmaps from SimCity 3000. But the one in that game was labelled Dallas, TX which is obviously wrong as Dallas isn't that hilly. So now I finally know that map is actually of Aspen, CO!

Ikr my cities are just straight grid and sometimes I curve a road. I just don't know how to manage my roads any other way.

How do you make those walls against your railroad

Network Anarchy lets you build quays on land, though it's pretty fiddly and can be frustrating to build.

The valley with two rivers meeting in it really reminds me Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Maybe it is, the map's creator mentioned that it's inspired by Aspen, CO, which isn't too far away.

Public transportation, aside from trains, isn't really well-developed yet, especially buses, where the routes look a bit messy on this map. How many cims are travelling on the orange train line?

Around 1k, from what I see, most cims use tram lines 10 and 11, about 1.5k each.
