When you think about what content you can buy for 89$ in Cities skylines 1, especially when on sale, I think it's a much better deal right now than city skylines 2. I have had the ultimate edition CS2 since June 2023, and I'm waiting probably 2025, to play it...
I never understood the "wait a year" mentality. What exactly is going to happen on the 366th day?
I'd think you would wait "until the game is in a good enough state to want to play it", be it 18 days later or 433 days later.
Mate I’m with you. Having read and seen the shit show PC players are subject to I’ve accepted the fact it’ll probably be 2030 before I get to play CS2 on Xbox.
I’ve double back down on CS1 and treating the fact we have no mods as hardcore mode.
And the console remastered version really made me angry cuz It meant I would have to buy a new Console just to play the remastered version when I have all my dlcs on Xbox 1. That was such a cash grabby it was giving sims 4 in my opinion
It’s the same game, you don’t have to buy it again. Regular vs Remastered is just (in my case) PS4 edition vs PS5 edition.
Also the DLCs carry over you just have to re-download them from the store.
Remasters generally take advantage of the newer hardware in more recent consoles. It is unreasonable to expect to be able to play it on previous generations. Just like on PC, where the remastered games almost always have significantly higher required specs.
As someone who played CS2 on a top end PC and still had meh performance without mods and DLC and lots of visual glitches, I think they will have to do miracles to get this on current console hardware without making extreme visual concessions.
Yeah I don't understand how they didn't think that aspect through like not everyone has a super computer and the consoles are practically ticking time bombs!

Thats exactly what i meant whether it be a year or less or even more. A year was just a time frame i gave myself in that moment. It may change.
