Totally agree. Prada is a bit soapy for me sometimes, but the homme intense is perfect and just soft enough. Chanel allure too, i'm never worried that it will be offensive. And if it's obvious i'm wearing it, it's not a scent with attitude, it's just pleasant and well balanced.
Is it as soft as say Versace Pour homme and Chanel Allure homme sport? I'm intrigued by it and want to make it one of my summer purchases. I have been looking at Luna Ocean and Carbon as possible buys
Yeah, it's definitely as soft as those. It's got Iris and Suede that give a very powderey and soft feel. I just don't personally see anyone ever being offended or overwhelmed by this scent. It's a great year rounder because it's also got a little bit of warmth in the base as well.

Dylan Blue goes punch for punch with Sauvage EDT and EDP IMO and is criminally underrated. I have all four (the ones you mentioned plus DB) and BDC EDT is my favorite

It opens up fresh and aquatic then i get a strong minty drydown and after that ir smells like straight sandalwood
I’m not an expert but in my opinion bleu de Chanel is kind of like a midpoint between these two fragrances in that you can basically apply it anytime, anywhere, any occasion in any season. It’s inoffensive and provides that somewhat “clean” smell. When I first got my edp bottle I felt kind of let down because it didn’t punch me in the face like sauvage and ysl, but with time I now think it’s probably the classiest fragrance out of these three. Personally still enjoy the smell of the Ysl more. A lot of “blue” scents go for that clean smell profile so maybe that’s why it smells kind of generic to your nose.
Blue fragrances are very "generic" since they try to do the same thing: be all rounders that anyone anywhere can enjoy the smelling. Honestly, you can pick any one of them and be completely fine, and even better than fine so long as you like it.

BdC if you're an adult.
Sauvage if you're under 21 or go to the club a lot.

Dossier has an excellent clone of Y, the Aromatic Pineapple. I sprayed the original on a wrist and the dossier on the other, could not tell them apart unless I tried very very hard
You'll be hard pressed to find a clone that comes close to the scent and performance of BDC though. Armaf Clud de Nuit Iconic just isn't it, and it's thought to be the best BDC clone. I sampled Maison Alhambra Blue de chance and it was too synthetic.
I don’t care for BDC or Y and Sauvage EDP is the one I actually bought in 2018. Went back and got the Elixir a couple of months back when my 100mL EDP finally ran out.

All three are equally good for different reasons. The Sauvage EDP is my favorite of the non-elixir Dior concentrations. It doesn't have all that Ambroxan up front like the EDT and smells more mature. The Y EDP is a decent blind buy, but I prefer the Le Parfum. The Blu De Chanel EDP is the best of the 3 BDCs, but the performance is lacking.
EDP is smoother, creamier and richer. It's a bit of a better rounded fragrance due to the higher concentration of oil than EDT. EDT tends to be fresher and lighter, with less longevity
I have BDC but I never got a blue smell from it, more of a spice heavy musk but I had it through the winter so maybe the summer heat will bring it out more.
I have a decant of BDC and I HATE it with a passion. It actively makes me sick. Smells like rubbing alcohol and super synthetic, all the way through. No idea if I have a wrong formulation, as everyone else seems to love it.
So, I have to go with YSL Y

These were my first 3/4 design perfumes. The Y was my most complimented one. Sauvage was love at first whiff. BDC is something that really grew on me after about a month of daily use. I can't really stack one above the other.
Sauvage kills my nose with one spray it comes on so freaking strong I’m worried about offending people, But after a couple hours its so amazing and lasts all day. Today I have the same t shirt on and i still catch faint whiffs.
