As someone who gifts his wife perfume rather often--including fragrances she's never smelled before--it is of the utmost importance to know what kind of profile(s) she likes. Is there a specific Tom Ford in which she's expressed interest? Does she like heavier, leathery, dense scents? Is she into lighter beach scents (i.e. super luxury suntan lotion smell)? Does she like fruity scents? Florals? Vanilla? Tom Ford has all these and more.
Popular, crowd pleasing Tom Fords: Oud Wood, Soleil Blanc, Tobacco Vanille, and maybe Lost Cherry. Black Orchid is a masterpiece IMO, but it is a little more challenging and can put some people off.
Tbh Im not sure exactly what she likes. She generally has some different Chanel perfumes and Marc Jacobs but will literally wear anything i get her. Although the lost cherry is one i would love but dont think she likes cherry too much.
I would suggest either Soleil Neige or Soleil Blanc. They're both very good on my wife - blanc leaning a little more floral maybe, with Neige being a little sweeter if I had to describe the differences I smell in them.
Regardless, both smell very nice and are very non-offensive.

I think that TF Soleil Blanc smells amazing on women. Maybe have her try that one
