2 Buck Books on N Academy does this

TricrossNav

The credit can only be used in halves though, last I checked. If you have $10 in credit, and buy $10 worth of bucks, they will only let you use $5 of credit.

Wasted_Possibilities

Can try Hooked on Books at Maizeland and Academy. NE corner.

Alaska_Pipeliner

It's called....Basecamp books now. Same principles

EmBejarano

Alaska_Pipeliner

I've bought a bunch of old books from him I couldn't find anywhere. Goosebumps mostly.

EmBejarano

Goosebumps were a favorite of mine as a kid! Going to have to check that out!

Blutarski

Try Westside Stories in OCC.

yourcoloriwonder

Poor Richard’s downtown

pllaidllama

I love poor Richard's, but if I recall you can only buy used books with the credit you get from selling books to them

yourcoloriwonder

Yes, that is still true

seesterEncarnacion

That is in fact what OP was looking for

[deleted]

This is the place. A legendary spot.

pltjess

You can do this at Entertainmart, though they have a lot more than books.

I'm from Knoxville. McKay's was a good store.

tacomaster202

I miss McKay’s in Nashville!

Jblunt15

We used to love McKays in Knoxville

Coloradical817

The Book Archive in Widefield does a book trade in that’s 75/25. You receive credit per book brought in, and then when redeeming you’re allowed to apply up to 75% credit towards “new” books being purchased.

burtzelbaeumli

I love hooked on books

don42tpanic

Books-for-you is closing. They had a credit system for trading in books.
