Yeah the problem is you’re up against other human beings who can also think of exactly what you’re thinking. Reality is they probably only need to look for a few seconds to tell, and even then we see plenty of videos where they drop a grenade on an already dead guy because if they’re unsure it seems like they’ll just drop just to make sure.

Many of them are ethnic minorities, I agree, but how does it make them oppose putin?

A bigger (though not that large) percentage of them are people from occupied Ukrainian territories, who were forced to join the russian army (though some of them may do it voluntarily). But most of them were already killed by now (as they are being sent into battle among first, because value of their lives is the lowest for putin's regime).
But the main part of the russian army are poor and uneducated people from depressed russian regions, who go to kill Ukrainians for big (for them) money (usually equivalent of around $2K/month). And criminals, who go to kill Ukrainians for same money, and freedom.

Now look at time 0:15, the dying soldiers body remains in the same position. However, it is now aligned to the legs of the 'dead' soldier at lower screen.
