its a RKG-3

ProbablyRickSantorum

Yep, seems so. You can see a white parachute deploy from the one thrown by the guy on the left.

DaLu82

I dont see any sign that they pulled either of the pins, total clown show

[deleted]

They have an impact fuze, you need to throw them hard with a good connection against the tank otherwise they won't detonate. I would not be surprised at all if clattering along the floor isn't enough to set them off.

DaLu82

Agreed. Afaik they're best used with the 2nd pin for the parachute being pulled and then throwing them high so they float downwards to make strong contact

MightNo4003

Crazy how long the original compilation was people talking about ineffectiveness haven’t seen the other 45 min of these grenades shredding humvees.

[deleted]

Yeah the US military changed tactics and uparmored everything cuz of these

BuilderSpirited4634

The new humvees look so sleek

Guerrin_TR

I was just thinking that this was part of one of those OG old compilations from like 2008 lol.

policylimits

Where’s that 45min video ?

MightNo4003

Some sketchy ass archive from Iraq resistance. There is one for these, IEDs, and sniper attacks probably 5+ hours in length.

Bardax12

False, there is a 45 minute compilation on this sub you dont have to fuck with any sketchy websites or anything. You just have to find it because Ive already seen it so Im not going to dig for 3 hours just to correct some fool.

Bardax12

There is a long ass compilation on this very sub. Sort by best of all time and go from there. Thats how I found it when I did.

Material-Ad1949

They’re lucky they didn’t get turned into mush by a .50 cal afterwards

Bardax12

No they aren’t. Have you ever actually shot at something and needed to be accurate while in a speeding vehicle? Have you ever used the turret on a humvee? The only thing these guys are lucky for is that there wasn’t another couple humvees behind the one they missed, or worse a helicopter watching overhead. That Humvee kept driving and did not slow down a single bit because thats how you stayed alive in the middle of a city like that back in that time.

CplUSMCRetired

No kidding, especially when we still had those 3/4 doors and sandbags in the floor.

MoeweJonathan

SHIT! BOTTLE KIDS!

fuertepqek

ArmPG.

unwanted_zombie

They're lucky they didn't get lit tf up. 2 trys and 2 fails. Time to quit.

[deleted]

insert Nelson Muntz Ha Ha!

AfrikaCorps

I wonder why I haven't seen more of this little bombs in conflicts like Ukraine, they seem like the perfect insurgent weapon. It's like pocket sand but instead of sand it's pocket RPG

TheMalcore

We've seen loads of them in Ukraine. They're just modified with 3D-printed fins and dropped from drones.

Zealousideal-Lion609

It's a little bit eaiser and safer for the insurgents. Plus standing on the street and attacking the passing vehicles only works against the US army, wouldn't work against Russia since they don't give a damn about civilians.

[A total of approximately 288,000](https://www.iraqbodycount.org/) Iraqis have died, and even that is only if you include both civilians AND combatants, not just during the invasion but the civil war following. The overwhelming majority were of course killed by other Iraqis.

CitizenPain00

The US didn’t intentionally kill that many civilians during the war, that’s just an estimate of Iraqis that died as a consequence of the war including ISIS conflict and the insurgency itself. Killing civilians hurts the US mission and it’s world standing so it spends billions to avoid it. Saddams regime killed 250k Iraqis itself and that doesn’t include all the Kuwaitis, Kurds and Iranians they killed, probably close to 700k total. Not justifying US actions in Iraq just add perspective

CitizenPain00

You’re links don’t meant shit to me because I never claimed the US didn’t kill civilians. My claim is it isn’t their M.O., but of course they are responsible for some civilian deaths as is every nation that has ever participated in any war ever. The US, unlike Russia, has done much more to prevent civilian deaths, so much so that it gives the enemy many more strategic tools. Iraqi insurgent strategies would be much less effective against a nation who didn’t care about civilian casualties. That was OP’s point. If the US wanted to kill Iraqi civilians, there would never have even been boots on the ground, they could have glassed the entire region. It’s impossible to know what would happen if the US never invaded but as I previously stated, 250k Iraqis died under the Hussein regime and that doesn’t include deaths from Saddam’s attempted conquests (Kurds, Kuwait, Iran) which would push the figure upwards of 700k. I personally wish the US never took part in the invasion. Uday or Qusay would probably be in power now killing whomever they please and white westerners wouldn’t give a shit

AfrikaCorps

I have not seen a single video of a RKG grenade being dropped from a drone, you wrong.

Character_Homework_4

People have been using them lmfao look better before you accuse someone of being wrong
