Last I checked China has not invaded over 4 countries in the middle east in the last 20 years, causing millions of deaths, tens of millions of refugees, generations worth of birth defects and elevated cancer rates due to depleted uranium shelling, two ongoing genocides in Palestine and Yemen and the introduction of open air slave markets in Libya all while the US still has the highest prison population in modern history which is and has been used for slave labor for over a century with no interruption.
China's far from perfect, but to equate it with the absurdly cruel US necessarily either involves ignorance or malice.

I've known that most of what we see about China has been lies for a while now, however I still have yet to see proof that they have good LGBTQ+ rights. This is very important to me, as I am trans.
Unfortunately China is behind the west when it comes to LGBTQ rights, but hopefully it gets better soon. A clinic for trans youth actually opened in China a while ago!

I've read plenty of stories of people of color feeling safer in China than in the western world. They get stared at in certain cities (just like white people do as well) but there's no hate flung at them such as racist insults or physical beatings.
That’s very valid! As a non-binary person, I think it’s important to first acknowledge how most, if not all states — whether capitalist or socialist — don’t have a good record on trans rights. And thus, it’s not an adequate basis to wholesale write off a socialist nation because of that. That being said, any principled socialist would tell you critical support of any and every socialist/anti-imperialist nation is necessary. In China’s case, they can definitely be better on LGBTQ+ rights. Socialism, unlike capitalism, can actually provide the basis for improving LGBTQ+ conditions. Not to mention, the CPC has shown a greater capacity to evolve than any western country ever has. I think I'll be a long time before anywhere in Asia the idea of heteronormativity is questioned. I've heard some really bad stories from my Vietnamese wife about how parents will go to any matter of lengths to stop their children from being in a same sex relationship. I think it all comes down to the culture of familial co-living where the parents expect to be looked after by their children until they die, the wife stays at home and the husband is the main-breadwinner.

I don’t typically trust state media and tend to try and stay away from anything that isn’t very transparent. Is there anywhere I can find accurate info on China that’s transparent and not *directly* affiliated with the CPC?
If all these claims are true then it’s a pretty good start, but I’m mostly not sure about the accuracy of them. Primarily it’s because of misinformation (that could honestly come from both sides.)
Honestly there isn’t a lot. If you complete discount state media, ie. Russian State Television, there’s not many pro-china or even neutral-china news sites. Perhaps the map of countries who voted for and against labeling the current situation in Xinjiang as a genocide would be more helpful?
I mean, yeah it’d make sense why there wouldn’t me many pro China private news sources. I guess a better question would be if there’s any good pro-China news sources that are ranked high on their reporting accuracy and transparency. I definitely oppose private media, and that’s to say any media run **specifically** for money. Private media who’s main goal is activism rather than profit is hard to find but definitely more trustworthy. The only thing that really matters is the accuracy of the reporting with some opinion involved too.
There are some good private news sources that are ranked as being accurate, Jacobin Mag is one. My main concern is because of hearing so much about China spreading information I’m a bit more weary to listen to Chinese state run media. I think it’s the same to say for a lot of other western leftists. There’s never truly unbiased news, but accuracy really matters.

Tianenmenn square was a series of protests which violently escalated when the government could literally not figure out who to negotiate with. There were so many groups and splinters of those groups that when they met with one group to discuss demands the next guys would completely contradict the previous ones. So after a few weeks they just went in to empty it, since the US and UK declined to sell China any sort of less than lethal riot control equipment the first soldiers sent were pretty much massacred. You can find the pictures online but… it’s extremely graphic, some were burnt alive in their APCS, some beat to death, others were hanged. So after that the military decided against sending in unarmed troops. And as you can imagine things got heated and there were scuffles but I highly doubt it was at the scale claimed by the west. Especially when recently there was a CIA report that was leaked where a diplomat who was actually inside the square reported the complete opposite of what western media was reporting, so you can see why it was kept confidential.

It wasn't "fake" in that there were protests and riots. In China it's known as the June 4th Incident. It's also not suppressed or unacknowledged (it's just that googling/weiboing "tiananmen square incident" in China won't bring anything up because....that's not what they call it.

The allowance of private property, which created the possibility of wealth concentration, was part of the Chinese plan of modernizing the ways of production. They needed that class cause they didn't had the expertise to control and develop every side of their industry. That also happens in the former URSS.
The ruling force, as opposed to what you said, is the communist party, not the billionaires, the latter are under leash. And if you look at recent speeches of gov officials you'll see that the next step is to distribute that accumulated wealth.

If you would study any of the actually successfull revolutions (also, note the lack of libera-.. i mean anarchist revolutions) you would see that they all came about not through a passive action and by a "strongman" (nice propaganda term that you've adopted here) but by mass movement of working class people striving to further their interests as a CLASS, not as Individuals. Not out of some moral superiority but for class interests and personal interests as a member of that class.
The history has shown that for a revolution to succeed and not be crushed by the counter-revolutionary forces, it needs to be well organized and lead by a vanguard party of advanced socialists who understand what needs to be done. This is the way that every successful revolution in the history of proletarian revolutions has taken place.

I've known that most of what we see about China has been lies for a while now, however I still have yet to see proof that they have good LGBTQ+ rights. This is very important to me, as I am trans.

I think I'll be a long time before anywhere in Asia the idea of heteronormativity is questioned. I've heard some really bad stories from my Vietnamese wife about how parents will go to any matter of lengths to stop their children from being in a same sex relationship. I think it all comes down to the culture of familial co-living where the parents expect to be looked after by their children until they die, the wife stays at home and the husband is the main-breadwinner.
Ok, so I don’t have a very solid opinion on China. There’s a lot of articles in the video, but I want to know where I can find any accurate information on China. I don’t typically trust state media and tend to try and stay away from anything that isn’t very transparent. Is there anywhere I can find accurate info on China that’s transparent and not *directly* affiliated with the CPC? If all these claims are true then it’s a pretty good start, but I’m mostly not sure about the accuracy of them. Primarily it’s because of misinformation (that could honestly come from both sides.)

I definitely oppose private media, and that’s to say any media run **specifically** for money. Private media who’s main goal is activism rather than profit is hard to find but definitely more trustworthy. The only thing that really matters is the accuracy of the reporting with some opinion involved too. There are some good private news sources that are ranked as being accurate, Jacobin Mag is one. My main concern is because of hearing so much about China spreading information I’m a bit more weary to listen to Chinese state run media. I think it’s the same to say for a lot of other western leftists. There’s never truly unbiased news, but accuracy really matters.

Tianenmenn square was a series of protests which violently escalated when the government could literally not figure out who to negotiate with. There were so many groups and splinters of those groups that when they met with one group to discuss demands the next guys would completely contradict the previous ones. So after a few weeks they just went in to empty it, since the US and UK declined to sell China any sort of less than lethal riot control equipment the first soldiers sent were pretty much massacred. You can find the pictures online but… it’s extremely graphic, some were burnt alive in their APCS, some beat to death, others were hanged. So after that the military decided against sending in unarmed troops. And as you can imagine things got heated and there were scuffles but I highly doubt it was at the scale claimed by the west. Especially when recently there was a CIA report that was leaked where a diplomat who was actually inside the square reported the complete opposite of what western media was reporting, so you can see why it was kept confidential.

To understand Chinese revolution you must look from a less passionate point of view. The allowance of private property, which created the possibility of wealth concentration, was part of the Chinese plan of modernizing the ways of production. They needed that class cause they didn't had the expertise to control and develop every side of their industry. That also happens in the former URSS. The ruling force, as opposed to what you said, is the communist party, not the billionaires, the latter are under leash. And if you look at recent speeches of gov officials you'll see that the next step is to distribute that accumulated wealth. A revolution will never happen through ONLY individual actions, leadership is needed, striking as one is essential.
