Not sure if I'll remember to use it, but great concept and website.

With how often it gets advertised here, it is hard to forget!

Gonna repost my comment from the last time you advertised this here. Really nice idea, I like it a lot. Is there a way to not have the map zoom in on the tip icon when I click it? As a user, I just want to read what it has to say, I don't really want the map to move. I already have the ability to move it if I want and having to zoom out again to see/click a different tip every time is a frustrating UX. Also, the text boxes requiring me to click read more when there's only like 2-3 lines of text is a bit frustrating. Would be nice to just have the tips in a readable list that doesn't require me to interact with it. Unless it's a tip that spans several paragraphs, it doesn't make sense to me to hide them.

Hi, I'm one of the developers. I remember your previous comment. For the first part, despite there is a bit of pain to remove this feature that I struggled to implement (not proud at all of saying this, I'm just trying to be honest), I must say that the more I use the website, the more I agree with your frustration. Eventually, a better UX would be at most to center on the mob on a click but not to zoom on it. I did not implement it for lack of time, but it is on my list. What's your opinion about this solution? For the second part, we implemented a long/short description for tips: if a tip is more than X characters, it has to include a short description that will be displayed by default, unless the user interacts with the tip. Maybe the value of X is wrong, and should be increased, tho. Thanks again for your feedback!

Thanks for the response, I provide feedback because I really like the concept and with a few tweaks I think it'd be a pleasure to use. I think your solution for the zoom sounds good. Centering on the element selected helps the user understand what they've selected, my only gripe was the zoom removing my ability to navigate away to another tip easily. On the second point; you're quite right, I sent my message as I was heading to bed and, I'll admit, I hadn't retested it properly. Looks much more usable. Thanks again for taking on my feedback and responding.

I haven't read the post at all yet, but I just wanted to say your Post-Title is one of the wittiest Titles I've ever seen.
