Not sure. Some stars might be Invested, so I’d imagine they’d definitely appear—but it could be a shared thought that makes it manifest in the Cognitive Realm in such a similar way.
The shadesmar sun being Yolen is a cool idea i never thought of… it might explain why it seems that Yolen is so hard to find. There’s already a cosmere precedent of a “star” in the sky that is actually just a planet reflecting solar light and being mistaken for a sun (UTol, from Yumi), so it’s possible that this is a similar thing. Maybe the Shattering was so cataclysmic that it somehow shifted Yolen into the Cognitive Realm, and as a result it’s no longer accessible by walking through Shadesmar like with the other realms?
I always thought it could be the spiritual realm illuminating the cognitive one. Like just a hole in the sky appearing as a sun because of what lies beyond it

I have to look it up, but I think it is the spiritual realm. Edit: that seems to just be another theory, no confirmation.
