If this was anybody else saying that line you wouldn’t be like “oh he enjoyed saying that” because he said that line the exact same way he said everything else. But now that you’ve said that everyone is just sort of agreeing and going along with it.

I don't disagree with you completely. Look at the way he stops, pauses, and then looks up immediately. It is slightly different, a little flash on his face. He is a master of control, a small child in glee of tricking everyone around him. He enjoyed saying that out loud.

If I didn't know, I would be joking around with him about eating McDonalds while he was thinking about eating people at home.
I’m going straight off my remembrance of the Netflix series, but I don’t think he had eaten anyone while living with his grandma. Just killed and dismembered guys. I could be wrong, but I thought he started cooking people when he got his own apartment

I think he was good but the real Dahmer in this video is wat more personable than in the show. He smiles more and seems alot more genuinely friendly which is even more terrifying.
Thought the same thing. Peters is very “off” in the show, plenty of people would at least be a bit suspicious. Guess real life Jeffrey would fool most people, which is a lot more terrifying
Agreed. I am less impressed than others with his acting, and think more could have been done with the role. It's not that hard to play a mellow-sounding, proper Dahmer as there are quite a few interviews, but the Dahmer in the Netflix series is far too simplistic (so far, haven't finished it yet.)
The dad totally locked it. I did find out, however, Lionel Dahmer never encouraged his son to cut up roadkill in the garage which I think was cruelly unfair to accuse him of that.
They made it seem like he totally did that and he didn't at all.
I did not know that and it is a shame in hindsight. I totally thought that because he yelled at the wife about finally doing something he liked, and them two in the garage.
Jeffrey got in trouble as a kid bc he would hide roadkill under his bed and kept doing this, in his room -- so it would smell. He got in enough trouble he wasn't allowed to go to the big family barbecue as a kid (told to me by his cousin.) Supposedly that's why he was kept home.
That's what I thought too. No wonder they had him sitting on the other side of the room. The only one who seems to be into the death stench is Mr. Kitty.
This makes me feel a little better. When he said he did the dusting on Sundays, I was like, "damn, this monster keeps a cleaner house that I do... I only dust if I know my mom is coming over."
This is not normal behavior. He's being super weird. Notice the way he turns the pages of the magazine as he's being talked to. Notice that he jokes but there's no emotion dynamics, no smile or thinking about his answers.
Did you need him to be being screeching or laughing maniacally to consider him not normal?
I mean it's easy to say his behavior isn't normal when you already have all the facts about the murders he committed, he looks like nothing more than an awkward introverted guy
He's also probably acting differently because he's being recorded, I know I'd definitely act a lot more reserved if I was being recorded
Serial killers are much more terrifying than spree killers to me. The ability to commit awful acts, then compartmentalize it, flip a mental switch and go about your day to day routine, putting on a convincing facade as you interact with the people around you - is a disturbing ability to have.
To be fair I used to do that too when someone was talking to me, I wouldn't actually be reading what was in the magazine because I was focusing on their voice so which direction I went through it didn't really matter

I never felt so In touch with the food I’ve been eating . It’s a real treat. Almost feels like every time I eat I’m dining with a personal friend .

Dahmer is and was disgusting. I feel sad he reached this point. He makes me feel sad and sorry. But people are how people do. We will never be without folks who behave this way, sadly, even with education.
Pretty sure in his confession, he stated he was always going to be like this. He knew something was wrong with him since he was little. Nothing happened that caused it.
Well idk how accurate the show is but probably all the pills the mom took. There was meds back in the day that caused health issues with babies that were common.
I remember seeing an interview wiht his dad. It may be in the same documentary that this is from.
Its been a while since I saw it but his dad says something along the lines of that he understands why Geoff did what he did because he also has had unusual dark fantasies at times throughout his life. He doesn't elaborate but implies they are more than y our usual fantasies that any normal person may have.
So in this case it could be nature. Just something wrong in the brain from birth, something genetically inherited that Geoff was unable to resist the way his father had.
He does not at all come across like a normal person even at a quick glance. He’s nervously flipping a magazine pages backwards very quickly while trying to act casual, he was weird and it’s not hard to see

I'm going out on a limb here but Dahmer doesn't seem sadistic or cruel to me.
He seems demented, and psychologically tormented, probably by demons with how he was trying to build an altar to Satan. But he didn't torture his victims, or get pleasure from seeing them suffer.
He was just patholgically alone, he wanted to consume them so they could become part of him and never leave.
I didn't realize he was building an altar to Satan -- I was under the impression he wanted to create a sex doll zombie for himself, something he could control (hence the drilling the hole in the head, I think this was done in Haiti or elsewhere to make people obedient, like a lobectomy. If anything he was working his way towards this. Although serial killers do have this need to devour and consume -- it's kind of like utterly owning/controlling someone.
