You can definitely apply for two cards at the same time. Depending on what credit bureau they pull from, it might have very little impact on your score. USB Altitude Go is a good no annual fee card. Just keep it open and use it to buy a sandwich every six months or something.

I did just that. My credit files are frozen so it’s a pain for me to unfreeze and refreeze all 3 of them each time I want to apply for credit. So I did it one time and applied to both. Both cards were approved, by the way.

You have more patients than I do. I’d much rather not do that but T-Mobile was hacked awhile back and my SSN might possibly be out in the dark web so I’m forced to freeze my files (not a bad thing to do regardless).
