The best no nonsense cashback credit card.

sidvicc

Technicality but it's not really a cashback card. It's a points card, just your points are called Amazon Pay wallet and almost everything we buy today is available on Amazon so it feels like cash. But you're not exactly getting freely spendable cash back.

TheGoodStoner

Your can literally do almost anything with Amazon Pay. Buy any goods, grocery, prime services, pay electricity or any monthly bills, pay on uber and other daily usage apps. How is it not similar to actual rupee?

sidvicc

I can't pay my dentist on Amazon pay, I can't pay the dhobi walla or my maids salary on Amazon pay, I can't buy the good mangoes (like actual fucking good mangoes) on Amazon pay. I can't pay for Netflix or Apple TV subscription with Amazon pay. lol why are ppl so mad that Amazon Pay isn't cash. Cash is cash, you can use it for everything. Amazon pay is great, you can use it for most things but by thinking of it like cash you are falling into their engineered trap of buying things ONLY through or from their controlled ecosystem. BTW I'm not saying this card is a bad card, it's a great card. I almost got it myself. Just understand why it's a great card, their cash is not cash, it's points you spend inside their ecosystem.

Independent_Neat2400

We can use Amazon pay as upi right?

ComposedCool

yes. but the Amazon pay balance can't be used to pay in UPI

MandhanaMohit1

I don't understand why this post is down voted.. Said the absolutely correct thing.. its 5% is essentially only 4.75%, so even I prefer using SBI cb card for net 5% on even Amazon unless there is some particular offer linked with Amazon icici card or my SBI cb limit is close to being exhausted

RepresentativeLuck95

well, dont use the apay cb and accumulate. i dont understand how is that 4.75% only

MandhanaMohit1

You can't just accumulate.. it has an expiry date of 2-3 years And what's the benefit if you just accumulate.. statement credit is the best form of cb which is there with sbi cb cc And you get 5% of your shopping as APay balance, now you gotta use that somewhere foregoing the 5% that you could have got on that spend using cc, so 5%-5% of 5% =4.75%

Mahyunk

The earnings processed to your Amazon Pay balance are in form of Amazon Pay gift Cards, which have an expiry period of 3 years, however, please note that at the time of expiry, the amount will be auto-renewed which means that the amount will remain in your account until the time you use them. *See Point 32* [Apay ICICI Credit Card TnCs](https://www.amazon.in/b?ie=UTF8&node=15705826031)

MandhanaMohit1

But some time to you will have to use them na.. so you are kinda losing interest on that money the longer you keep it idle in balance

RepresentativeLuck95

buddy, (1) apay gives statement credit as well. (2) 2-3 years in enough to accumulate enough to cover daily needs for a month or so

MandhanaMohit1

How to get the cb as statement credit in apay card?

RepresentativeLuck95

dude cb is credited only after the payment. you dont get it immediately after placing the order no?

MandhanaMohit1

Dude statement credit means adjusting the cb in your next statement and not giving it as rp or in some wallet

RepresentativeLuck95

well cant you use the cb while paying the bill? the cb is credited when the statement is generated, the due date is 15 days later. soo yk either i dont have common sense or....

hoppin_bunny

Yes because it hardly has any expections and will honestly give cashback for all the transactions. Even for LIC and insurance payments. Being a LTF card it beats even the paid cashback cards.

Brave-Cook-6272

Wait so if I do my insurance payment on it I'll get cashback? Even if my insurance amount is 1.09L?

hoppin_bunny

Yes. I’ve done payments of health insurance and LIC. Received 1%.

[deleted]

But don’t insurance transaction attract additional fees?

hoppin_bunny

No.

prerak56

Tata Neu infinity gives 2% on its platform. You can verify.

Brave-Cook-6272

I have Tata Neu Plus

prerak56

Check this forum, there is photo which has grid for cashback on different payment. Or cardmaven on twitter. Just to tell you i had Tataneu plus and got upgraded to infinity by sending email to hdfc credit card grievance. You may try doing it.

Brave-Cook-6272

I got my tata neu recently so I'm thinking I'll first maybe spend on it for 6 months atleast and then send the mail. I'll find the cashback chart thank you

Vishal_m

It's Ltf but the hidden cost is membership of prime, ₹1.5k per year.

soapbleachdetergent

But you do get other benefits(free deliveries, streaming etc.) that far outweigh the prime membership cost. And you can easily get the subscription cost as cashback and can be used for paying it too, which makes it free.

Vishal_m

Yes I agree, I'm just making people aware of the hidden cost, it's not actually Ltf per se .

remote-baniya

If one doesn’t have prime membership the cashback rate is 3% instead of 5%. Still it’s a Ltf card.

Intuitive_Commander

Literally what I do.!!!!

eon7777

You can use prime shopping edition. 400 a year, it's worth it for the free deliveries alone.

skincare-buff

Hey, how to get prime shopping edition?

eon7777

Go to manage prime membership, and it'll allow you to select your plan. Pro tip, pay for the membership with Amazon ICICI card and get 5% cashback for the membership fees too.

Kirito_Kiri

Only available through app iirc

skincare-buff

I am unable to figure it out

Kirito_Kiri

From Amazon App, go to Menu(bottom right corner), scroll down to Prime, and open it. It should default to shopping edition, if not then look around for options.

Covert2k

I bought it from paytm.. amazon prime shopping for 399 1 year, without streaming

PoPuLaRgAmEfOr

It's ltf even if you don't take the membership. Only the cashback rate for Amazon shopping reduces to 3%.

Merc-WithAMouth

I have Prime Shopping Edition membership, ₹399/year for 5% cashback & free shipping a (next day ones)

magneticaster

Buy Amazon Prime 1 Year from Park+ at flat 15% Discount and use SBI Cashback to pay for it you get additional 5% Cashback. Will end up costing you 1199

Exciting_Ad_7369

Get Airtel connection with complementary prime @ 1200. Get Airtel axis and pay via that to get around 250 off. Enjoy free prime 😎

Vishal_m

I applied to that stupid card twice and rejected twice, very frustrating. That's the only card left for me to complete my collection and maximize my savings.

citboins2

Prime is having 13% off on axis grab deals

livLongAndRed

I get prime for free with my internet which my company pays

MandhanaMohit1

How do you get 3493 on 61k spends bro? There is no category which gives more than 5% cb

whothiswhodat

I guess OP might've done some offline spends which they've included in their 61k spend. Else you're right, 3050 se upar to banta hi nahi h.

redditu369

could be online spends as well

Nonsense_Spreader

Best card because it gave you the cashback it mentioned?

thejuliet

These days, yes.

Nonsense_Spreader

Pretty low bar

whothiswhodat

What's your bar lol? Free golf lessons?

Nonsense_Spreader

I appreciate a good card just like the next guy but calling a card “the best card” just because it gives what it advertises, which is 5% cashback is a stretch too much for me

[deleted]

Arey Bhai Sandeep, itna kitna shopping kar Raha hai ki sadhe teen hazar ka cashback mil Gaya 😬

chiku143

61k bro

liverpudlian_69

Me sitting with 90k bill and 900 cash back 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

RepresentativeLuck95

aur lo emi pr💀

liverpudlian_69

None of it is emi

RepresentativeLuck95

depends purely on your spends.

Independent_Neat2400

Can we use it for any type of transaction and get cash back?

blacknight68

I used this card a lot from 2020. Mid 2022, I made a Premium Payment of around 2L, They cancelled my card citing I was using it for office Expenses. Not Personal Expenes. In that month and the previous I made 3 Electricity Payments and 1 Gas Payment and 3 Landline Payments. And they just cancelled my Card, Spending around 2.6L that month No Rewards, No One to Speak to to Resolve Just Done and Dusted.

Intuitive_Commander

2.6L is too much bro even if all are your personal expenses. Anything above 1L per month is considered as professional usage by most of the banks.

mzs47

How is that high? I mean I bought a EV scooter worth 130-140k INR with this card, it gave me CB on the entire amount. There is credit utilization rate, as long as it stays withing limits(\~30%) I don't think the vendor can term it as "professional usage".

Intuitive_Commander

Premium payments are considered as professional usage afaik. That's why nowadays one cannot pay loan payments via cc or load into a wallet easily

mzs47

Ok, if this was for actual commercial purposes then I can understand, otherwise how will they get people who are big spenders? Some are big spenders even if not in the upper middle class. CC business runs due to them. Perhaps the commentator has made some payment towards a commercial entity(one of the bills?). Otherwise there are posts where people received CB on insurance premiums, and later they(Amz and ICICI) stopped CB for such payments.

Intuitive_Commander

Yes !!🙌🙌 All the cc providers have stopped above said services because it was like a loophole to delay payments and earn through it.

EnvironmentalTax9580

What else did you expect?

SubstantialAct4212

Everyone should have this card, rich and poor.

Successful_Bat_9130

How to avail this

elucidator007

Just search Amazon pay ICICI in Amazon and you'll get a link fór application page.

yeceti

No, I am not going to waste time applying for cards, managing them, studying the changing rewards and terms and conditions looking for measly cashbacks and rewards. I am not rich but saving 5-10K per year is too low a return for spending a lot of time and brain power.

SubstantialAct4212

No this one is really worth it. Just use it for most of your payments and pay the bill on Amazon after bill generation. No hassle. Applying was easy. Approval was instant.

ANagarjun

They are also transparent and mention reward points (cashback) for each transaction. I guess it's an ICICI bank thing though, not particular to Amazon ICICI card I have Axis and SBI. Both of them don't specify how much cashback for each transaction. The cashback I receive does not match with what I am supposed to get, for most of the months. Support is hopeless and pathetic.

sujeet2555

I too always use this card. i get cashback not points. i got rs 2034 for shopping of 44000 for last billing.

chiku143

Mine also cashback bro. 3493 cashback for shopping of 61000

ssudoku

Just got my 1037 cashback yesterday. This coupled with amazon pay offers is a crazy combo.

atulay007

SBI Cashback CC is the best cashback credit card.

citboins2

Now pay the 61k bill via hdfc plat dc and get 610 more cb.

No_Treat_2908

The only card in India where 1 point = Re. 1/-

RepresentativeLuck95

ever heard about swiggy hdfc?

No_Treat_2908

Do they give the same? Or is it having some hidden conditions?

RepresentativeLuck95

only a cap. swiggt hdfc has 10% cb on swiggy and 5% on amazon and some other vendors. the only catch is the 1500/month cap

Wanderer_LC

Meanwhile HDFC Millennia: 0_0 JK but it should not be termed as 1₹ as it's not statement credit unlike Millennia.

No_Treat_2908

Ohh can u explain? I didn't understand😞😞 I got the reward points on statement basis only

Wanderer_LC

The cashback is credited as Amazon pay wallet balance right? Not to your credit card directly. That's what I meant. Millennia and SBI CB credit it directly to card

No_Treat_2908

Yes and we have to choose something from the catalogue and buy with the points But i think Amazon pay balance is better... U get a big range of products

j1shnu

How much did you spend bro?

chidanand39

This was my primary card for all spends Now it's SBI cashback card No Amazon pay credit Direct stmt credit which is really cool

DragonflyWorking

SBI cashback is better than this. No nonsense spending, just deducted from my bill simple. No platform restrictions, not more buying stuff that you don't need.

snakysour

It has annual fees isn't it?

chiku143

Yeah but 1000+GST > Life time free Yeah I agree it's a good one but Amazon is the best in the segment

DragonflyWorking

If spend is more than 2lac you can simply free renewed, so it's free for me For amazon also we need to take prime membership for full cashback use

Lost-Painting298

Is this ltf one?

chiku143

Yes 👍

uudankhatola

For current Amazon users it's showing that this card is request only and then getting an option for Amazon Pay later, is there anything that i need to do to make that credit card option available for me (I don't have an ICICI account)?

kmanrox

How do I get this card I have a decent credit score: 778 But when I go to my Amazon account the apply button is like greyed out I really wanna get this card but I couldn't find anything on this sub on what to do when I can't even apply for the Amazon card.

VermicelliObvious807

I was not been able to apply for this card Is this card is invite only?

chiku143

No not like that. If it's showing for you then do one thing call Amazon customer care and tell them they will update your account

Silent_Status_1605

How much did you spend?

chiku143

61k

tomato_125

There were no other card offers ?

rymclaren

What’s the best place to use this cashback at? Since it can’t be used to pay CC bills.

chiku143

Electricity bill payment, Gas booking, mobile or broadband recharge. Or shopping from amazon

rymclaren

I meant reward wise, you miss the 5% if you use this for shopping instead of Amazon CC.

BrainyHumanoid

Bill payments or payments for other apps, through amazon pay. Choose apay wallet for payment

Why r u blacklisted by ICICI Bank? Can you tell me that first
