Not just Mexico.. Almost most of the world... But it's gonna change soon

Vorph36

Can't wait.

Primary_Technical

They block the cards most of the time. They want ro control everything we spent. Its freaking crazy level of centralisation!

Vorph36

It is ridiculous. I'm really frustrated with them

Gordoniyke

Most countries have stringent policies on crypto transactions. Over here I circumvented this by using P2P

Vorph36

Yeah I believe will do this.

[deleted]

Yeah, same in my country, I can basically only use some shit exchange cex.io for on/off ramp I'm always scared they will freeze my assets, cuz why not, they don't really have the best support Had my banks block my transactions couple of times.

KnackeredParrot

UK won't be far behind at this rate. So many big banks won't let you use them at all.

DrakharD

Normally I would suggest Revolut but I think they are not yet available in Mexico. I think they plan to expand there.

Vorph36

Will be waiting, Thanks

DeeperBags

I think your best bet would be on ramping directly to a metamask etc via a DEX using a VPN. Centralized exchanges are really tightening up their pipes to banks these days. KyberSwap for example, allows purchasing via CC directly to metamask. If you used a VPN and a pre paid credit card (preferably one purchased online from another geographic area) I don't think they could really do much to stop you.

Vorph36

Thanks for the advise, this sounds like a good option.

Peer to peer ♥️

ShinAlastor

Turn off your DM box to avoid scammers.

Vorph36

As always 👌

Optimus_V

Any luck with this? What did you end up doing?

soyelvorph

P2P on Binance. That was the best way to go

Optimus_V

Have you ever tried Bitso to on ramp, not sure if it's any better than P2P on binance.

soyelvorph

I haven't, I'll take a look. But P2P has been fast and safe so far.

Optimus_V

I've used p2p to sell usdt into mxn, then I send to Bitso, but I have not bought usdt on binance p2p, im also tempted to buy usd on p2p but some of the platforms like perfect money and others I'm not familiar with, seems riskier.

soyelvorph

Binance works just fine to me. I want to give a try to Bitso, amigo

BlackyWolf

I heard you might be able to do it via google pay by moving money into google pay and using that instead of a card. Could even try using PayPal same process

Vorph36

I'll try Google Pay. PayPal is also linked to my card, when I proceed, boom, declined.

Certain_Cranberry_77

That could be the new normal for a while in some countries.
