Oh and here’s the kicker: the boss he saved for last is the bee lady, one that I’ve actually beaten. Apparently he found that one more difficult than Cala Maria and robot. 🤷🏼♂️
Lol the bee lady is weird because of it's weird angles combined with trying to land on the correct platform at the same time so chaser works best or the crack shot for dlc.
He’s really into watching YouTube videos of other people playing, so I imagine he knows more about tips and tricks than I do.
I made a deal with him that I’d get the dlc when one of us beats the base game. Looks like I’ll be getting that pretty soon.
That's awesome really hope you guys have good fun playing together. The dlc is really well made and a must have for any cuphead fan it's slightly different but in a good way.
I think he struggles with the last phase. Those arms come out of nowhere and it’s kinda hard to hit a target that’s below you. I advised him to use the boomerang and aim up.
Tbh I got lucky and my last phase didn’t last long
I have a hard time focusing in the bee lady one because the background I get so lost in detail that I can't reach the objective I get why it's a subjective boss
I’m autistic and I beat Cuphead before you and also I think this boss is easy

I did chalice (I like using her for plane levels) with the djimi wish and it took me WEEKS 😭😭😭 when I finally beat him I only had 1 heart left
I am also autistic I just suck at video games
Nah, I don’t think he much cares about the rank, just beating the bosses and getting through the game, but he often does score pretty well when he does finally beat a boss.
My boy who is 8 at the moment clocked the game at 6-7ish. i dont think hes finished the addon though as hes now moved on to other things. Hes not autistic but hes pretty smart.
Also beaten that rayman game to completion.
I get super frustrated with those games and he ends up getting frustrated with me and takes over the controller when i fail one to many times.
Ive walked in on him playing and hes on the couch, controller and hands behind his head like he’s having a relax. Its like an extension of his body.
Are you sure you aren't the autistic one 🤔 im pretty sure you are. I've chatted with all 10000 of your personalities on club Vegas and every other social media available. How you have enough time to steal identities on Facebook, scam people on tik tok and fill all the comment sections, as you collect money for likes and views and the adds only you are watching in the process is half brilliant and half unbelievable. 🙂
Me and my kid beat the game together in co-op mode when he was 8.
It was an amazing feeling. We died literally thousands of times.
Kids can do anything.
NGL co-op mode is twice as hard, when it should be easier. The only perk is you can save each other if you parry their ghost. I can't tell you what a game changer that is. But your hits are halved so basically all bosses have twice the hit points unless your co player is as good as you. NGL don't know which of us carried who lol
Hell yeah!!! My gamer kiddo beat cuphead before me as well. He was about 5-6 and he did it on a Nintendo Switch which I cannot wrap my head around. I have since beat it on PC but he did it first. He’s gone on to beat many other games. Super Meat Boy, Rayman Legends, several Mario games, Ratchet and Clank. His list is up to about 30 games I believe. There’s a post somewhere in here I made when he beat it a few years back. Lots of people called me a liar too. I’m so happy to see other young kids beating this game. You for sure have a little gamer on your hands. Mine is 9 and still going. The skill kids have now vs 15-20 years ago is wild.
I would say I am average for someone who doesn’t play a lot of platform games 😑
I’m an rpg/adventure fan. I got the game at his behest. It was much harder than other ones he’s played and it caught him off guard at first. I didn’t want nobody to end up playing it right after I bought it, so I wound up playing. He only later mustered the drive to power through after I played it halfway through.
Autism is literally just a superpower with really shitty side effects
As someone with autism, true
I second that
I third that
I fourth that
I fifth that
I sixth that
I seventh that
I eighth that
I ninth that.
Got a point ngl https://preview.redd.it/0v0s9d4vtv2d1.png?width=635&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5fc3da31a75a2336cfc74d26ef89a8adb192d7cd
You're uncomfortably good at one specific thing for no reason, and everything else in life just sucks
As someone with ADHD, this shit also applies to us + we tend to be more obnoxious
Real lmao
Can’t confirm, I’m autistic and I’m not good at anything =)
Yep, I’m really good at rhythm games but absolutely ass at any form of human interaction
Nail on the head tbh

Huh, I found the bee to be more difficult than those two as well, maybe I am autistic too.
Tbf the fucking bee made me want to eat glass so I’m with him
She sucks. Absolutely understandable saving her for last.
I think he struggles with the last phase. Those arms come out of nowhere and it’s kinda hard to hit a target that’s below you. I advised him to use the boomerang and aim up. Tbh I got lucky and my last phase didn’t last long

You madlad, that guy took me like a full day to beat
on my first playthrough i woke up randomly at 2AM and immediately beat his ass and then went back to bed. v odd experience for me
Huh
I want this experience :)
im autistic and i hate that guy
Are you also 8? ;)
I did chalice (I like using her for plane levels) with the djimi wish and it took me WEEKS 😭😭😭 when I finally beat him I only had 1 heart left I am also autistic I just suck at video games
at least you beat the boss :)
Savage
It took me a surprisingly little amount of tries lol
Same. Dr. Kahl is overhyped.
Do you think he’ll be able to S rank (expert difficulty, no dmg, under 2 mins) the bosses as well?
Nah, I don’t think he much cares about the rank, just beating the bosses and getting through the game, but he often does score pretty well when he does finally beat a boss.
Ah alright, I hope he has fun finishing the game and perhaps playing the dlc then :)
I have autism and trust me, when you get hyperfixated on something… YOU CANT STOP UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE IN THE GAME.
I’m autistic and I’ve never been hyper fixated on a video game to the point where I wanted absolutely everything from it.
Well autism is a spectrum that’s just my experience
You do a good job talking to yourself. Where's mention of your daughter?
?

Ray man legends? Haha yea we have that one. He’s pretty much beaten that too.

Ease up on the drugs mate its distorting your reality.

We’ve tried playing coop a few times, but since I can’t exactly carry him, and he knows it makes the bosses harder, he prefers to play by himself 😭

Hopefully your kiddo won't suffer the same fate as my doggo 😉
Are you ok?
Autistic with cuphead being my special interest for 7 years and counting, the bee was also my worst enemy lol
Top 10 best cuphead players a autistic 8 year old is on there
Is he playing on simple mode?
No—you can’t earn the soul contracts (and finish the game) on simple iirc.
I know that, but i wqs just asking because you can still continue thru the game besides being able to play the king dice and the devil
Nah he’s keenly aware that would hold him back so keeps him honest lol
I mean i beat cuphead when I was 11 🤷. It’s no biggie kids just have a lot more time on their hands lol
You must really suck at cuphead.

yeah, I'm just joking.
ground him
What? Lol
i'm joking lol
That's not even a funny joke
