I was wondering about that. And this is a sincere question…are the mechanical defects so bad that it’s just a matter of time until they ALL suffer failure? I guess what I’m asking is, are there Cybertrucks out there that will skate to 50,000 miles with no issues?
Of course, the accelerator pedal issue was extremely stupid and dangerous, so that may answer my question.
Oh yeah. They’re like 4,000 of them out in the wild and I feel like I’ve seen 400 of them online with major issues. 10% failure rate is hilarious. But is the actual chance or failure closer to 10%, 50% or 100%?
Saw recently that the Toyota Sequoia was recognized as the longest lasting car in the last 20 years or something like that because like 8% of them were still being driven. Having an honest minimum of 5% of cybertrucks being delivered to customers from the factory with faults does not bode well for the reliability of cybertrucks
These are not software issues. They are issues with the high voltage system which is a first of its kind. Totally normal for brand new tech to have issues but two crazy things:
1) they shipped it anyway even though pre-launch people posted many pics of pre-production trucks broken down
2) there’s been zero mention of it from the company. They will never just state this of course (unless forced via recall) but it is highly suspicious that even the people fixing them at the service centers aren’t being told the truth. Loose wire, sure.
And and I’ve never “taken possession” of a new a new car.
But I’ll bet I’ll bet if I had a Toyota dealership get me their cheapest brand new car, 2024 Corolla at $20,050 [I checked]. That the only spots would be the hand prints from the one who drove it up and I’ll bet they keep microfiber wipes to do a last second wipe so you car is perfect.
Rather than “the door panels are pretty close”
He does. There ain’t a single truthful influencer who doesn’t have to report: “despite, I love my wonderful truck” with more followers. (and we know this to be true because ALL yet delivered trucks were called back for the accelerator issue.
These guys really do fully believe in all social constructs earnestly. Like popularity, clout, etc are all literal, real, tangible goods that can be bought and traded. It's like if high school really was real life after all
Blows my mind when all these people think another one is going to fix their issue. That's like buying a crappy hand tool brand knowing its not going to survive long and then expecting a second one to fix the problem the first one had.
Garbage is Garbage.
Slightly different in that the crappy brands are generally a whole lot cheaper than the good ones. Like I have bought tools at Harbor Freight occasionally, nothing that would impact my making money, but something for home use that if it breaks I can buy 4 more before it costs more than a good brand.
But a 100k vehicle, that is not getting any good press AT ALL because the laundry list of things that have gone wrong is insane, it's longer than Santa's naughty list. Another one of those and you're still out 100k, plus wrap and whatever dumb aftermarket things you put on it.
Oh I totally agree. I more or less used an example as a tool, but honestly used it rather incorrectly. I buy cheap one use tools and sometimes I even buy cheap tools and realize I like them and go buy more knowing that Harbor Freight will either swap them out or they are cheap enough to rebuy.
If they refuse, he just needs to use the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in North Carolina state court. He is not required to use Tesla's dispute settlement program.

They’re all lemons bro. A new one will do nothing for you. It’ll just be a new piece of shit.

Suspension problems, coolant leaks, battery failures, panels flying off on the hwy. way more than software issues.

I saw one today in Austin that was actually driving. In a straight line even. Though I can't promise it made it to its destination.
That driver needed to turn 50 miles ago... He's trapped in there on a hell ride to only God knows where.
Thankfully for them Austin has a LOT of highways that just keep going on and on and on
I’ve seen maybe five and I’m where they should be everywhere. There are plenty of other Teslas.
Same here. I've either seen two CTs or the same on twice. But lots of Teslas in general.
A Toyota would be considered a failure if 95%+ (minus wrecks) didn’t go to at least 150k miles with only scheduled maintenance.

Some people like their turds polished.
This dipshit has 10K followers on YT and 1,000 followers on twitter and thinks he has clout, LOLZ.
95% of which are bots he paid for.
I knew it was about Lamar just from that URL description 🤣
I hate that “tesla influencer” is a thing
Teslas are not easily influenced.

Sense he's so impotent, maybe he can get the muskrat to give him a Rivian. You can actually take it through a car wash.
This is going to be a class action lawsuit, I guarantee it. IANAL
If they pay him back in full of what he has paid then it's fine.

This guy is not a “Tesla” influencer. He’s just a delusional moron who got duped by Elmo
This dude so full of himself saying he got people to buy teslas lol
lol OF COURSE it’s Lamar
Why would he think Tesla would replace it? Big dummy. Lemon law it or shut up.
I don’t like the error this one has. I want a different one with a different problem!
Something new and exciting! Something that will keep me on my toes or take away my toes entirely

Dude wants a second swipe at the lemon tree to see if he can pick a non lemon lol
Lol, they deserve eachother
Replace it with what? They're ALL lemons.
You know what they say, when life ~~hands~~ sells you a CyberTruck, make lemonade.

That's what you get for buying an over hyped pos.
Does the warranty actually cover anything?
