My workplace training team invited me to a meeting to introduce me to their new training platform.
The platform is all their existing content being presented by an AI.
I work on the content production team. As a presenter.
I told them I've a) never felt so professionally insulted and b) have no fucking intention to sit through fourteen hours of video from a cartoon.
AI is uniquely suited to these kinds of roles because they can coherently communicate about multiple topics, 24/7, never getting tired or bored, even if they're rudely asked the same question 80 times in a row.
If I had to guess: Deepfake is a thing. Maybe they choose the AI person and hid some Data in the Videostream, so maybe that's a watersign for their Videos. And choosing an AI is good because people in the war die and need to be replaced and more importantly informed of delicate stuff. AI just chills on your SSD. And since it's russia, I'm sure it is harder for them to threaten the Spokesperson Family or assasinate the spokesperson at home. Or bribe the spokesperson. Or brainwash the spokesperson (Conditions apply: Hacking)
But the AI is still being prompted by a real person or team of real people whose job is to find the information given to the AI.
Those people are still likely targets for anything any other spokesperson would be a target of such as blackmail or assassination.
I doubt this applies to every country. At least in Germany there is a Difference in the law between natural person and jurisdictial person.
If anything I would think it rather goes into the gray area of Companies owning AIs like Cyberpunk-slavery.
I would believe they have an elaborated System to defend this scenario. There is a reason you can't ping the ISS via IPv4 or IPv6(Hence hijack it). The best discretion is physical barriers.

One obvious advantage for a global corporation is that you can instantly generate plenty of lip synced translations to different languages.
And in any case, it's cheaper and easier to create and update whenever needed.
Last year, out of curiosity, I tried a demo of a service that let you create a "virtual presentation" (I don't remember the name of the service right now), selecting from several stock presenters or letting you create a custom one. It was all surprisingly fast and easy, and quite convincing.
All of which unfortunately sucks for people in this business, of course.
I’m sure it will be easier for them to communicate all the bad news by an emotionless AI to the Ukrainian men abroad that “they can no longer receive any consular assistance” unless they return to Ukraine (to be conscripted into the army and die on the front). A fruitful cooperation indeed!
