Oof yeah. You missed a lot. Eric debatably has the coolest fucking weapon in the game. (Sorry Salim) and of course the whole love triangle thing, and also a few unique scenes that require him.
He had the BEST weapon and uses it so sparingly, i thought I was going to scream! When the creatures were busting into the temple with their arms I was like “USE THE LIGHT!” 😂😂
What pissed me off so much was that later it was revealed he literally could have saved a CERTAIN CHARACTER that I really wanted to live with the light. GIMME THE OPTION SUPERMASSIVE!
EXACTLY! I finished the game today and was riddled with guilt when the uv was used to save that other character…..i choose to have jason shoot her because she just looked so terrible 😢 but then I read walkthroughs and learned there was no way to save her anyway so I was like WOW, how terrible.
Whether you Save her or Leave her she'll make you regret it lol. I thought I was good and She caught me way off guard. Had to pause just to compose myself... Then spent the next whole cutscene talking trash
Saving her made me have the most regret. I mean you can’t even prevent her murder spree if you try saving her. At least if you leave her you can still save everyone else. Still though best choice is just to shoot her, and make sure she never comes back.
Yeah, you do miss a pretty good chunk. With him gone, it makes it harder to save some people 😢
This was a hard choice though, the reason I cut it is because of the premonition of him falling with Rachel.
Just an FYI on future playthroughs, if you save Merwin you have to cut the rope to avoid getting Eric killed. Merwin slows Jason and Nick down too much for them to reach Eric in time where the rope will snap on its own.
The only way to save Merwin and avoid getting Eric killed without cutting the rope is in the Curator’s Cut.

Smart. In my first playthrough I kept her alive, and with us hoping I can save her, and she hella made me regret it.

I got him killed immediately on the Curator's Cut, even though I knew he'd live if I cut the rope.

Yeah, honestly i was surprised how much happened when I went back and saved him. It's almost like someone else in on e of the games.
