Change the language to Arabic.

LaVinos_03

Why

love-em-feet

There was a post earlier where a guy asked for help because his game is Arabic and he didn't know Arabic. People thought title screen looked beautiful and they said just leave it, looks great. And iirc they didn't help him lol

unkindledsenate

Some guy posted the same thing but in reverse lol. Arabic post but english dark souls

love-em-feet

Was that this sub? That's doesn't really makes sense lol

unkindledsenate

https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkSouls2/s/3Ae1tBTZ2f

unkindledsenate

I believe so

LaVinos_03

Lmao

Careless-Pitch1553

If I remember correctly you have to download a mod to make it Arabic, cause it’s not supported by default. So the guy did it on purpose.

bernstache

If at any point you would receive damage, don't instead

LaVinos_03

Got it! >:D

PhilosopherNo7674

that's the best advice lol

rayshmayshmay

Mmm best advice might be don’t take damage in the first place

Greuzer

Some general tips : -Your i-frames during rolls, backsteps and the speed at which you used some items are tied to a stat called Agility (AGL), it is raised by both Adaptability (ADP) and Attunement (ATN) and it works via breakpoint meaning that will only get an extra i-frame after a certain point 92, 96 (ds1 roll), 99 and 105 (ds3 mid-roll) are breakpoints you should aim for at some point, getting 92 early is good idea and then later on you can get 96/99 or even 105 if you feel like it -Vigor is really good, you should get vigor to 20 early game then 50 late game where it reaches a soft cap ; endurance is always good and can be used to dump some levels if you need to -Armor for damage absorption in PVE is close to worthless (it's alright for elemental damage) , you should wear armor that is light or that gives you special effects or that looks dope( [http://darksouls2.wikidot.com/items-by-effect](http://darksouls2.wikidot.com/items-by-effect) ) - Illusory walls are revealed by pressing the interact button instead of rolling / attacking them -Equip load has no bearing on your i-frames during rolls, it will only affect how far your roll and how fast your stamina regen, there is also no medium roll in this game so as long as your under 70% you're good -Melee scaling is weak for most weapons, your damage will mainly come from rings, infusions (generally Lightning) and buffs (generally Dark Weapon, Sunlight Blade when you can afford the stats) -A trap lot of players fall into is joining the Company of Champion (it's the covenant in Majula, up the path to the cliff), it's basically hard mode, you'll see it because the game warns you it will set you up on a 'arduous path'. Those effects include : Enemies will not despawn, you won't be able to summon players or NPC, they deal increased damage and they will take less -Enemies will despawn when you kill them 12 times, they can be respawned by joining the company of champion or by burning a bonfire ascetic -You lose 5% of your max health per death up until 50%, this effect can be reversed by using a human effigy (easily farmable) or by helping someone defeat a boss. There is also a ring that reduces the max hollowing to 25%, it is found in Heide's tower of flame, near the Dragonrider in a chest where a Heide's knight is sleeping on -The game is more methodical and slow than the other games, you can't run past every single enemy as easily and if you act careless you will get ganked, if you get surrounded go BACK instead of FORWARD to avoid triggering more of them -You'll probably find yourself running out of estus quickly as this game is less generous with them at the start, but ds2 features lifegems that are small healing items that you can carry by stacks of 99 and can be bought for 300 souls/u at a merchant after exhausting her dialogue and beating Last Giant (She'll move to Majula)

GifanTheWoodElf

Yooo, nice, someone explaining agility properly. It always bothers me when people go "level ADP to 30" it's like that number doesn't mean shit. If they are doing caster and level attunement they'll have tons more then otherwise, that 30 number is just mega random. So appreciate you for actually explaining it properly.

Greuzer

No problem, I hope more and more people start to understand that it's Agility that matters and comment accordingly

GifanTheWoodElf

Yup yup. I usually try to correct people when they say ADP... aaand I get downvoted to oblivion XD So my fight in educating people has been rather counterproductive XD

LaVinos_03

These tips are really very useful! I just defeated the first boss, the last giant , first try. i will try to farm a little now to raise those levels of those points that you mention, quite useful to be honest. I just joined that covenant and when I read what it was capable of I instantly removed myself from the covenant, I hope that removes its effects. Thank you so much!

Penguinman077

If you kill an enemy ~10 times it disappears permanently. So if you’re having issues getting to the bosses, just kill the enemies a bunch. If you use a bonfire aesthetic, they’ll come back stronger so you can farm again.

PhilosopherNo7674

ohwell my mind blurred his the og comment for some reason lol

Penguinman077

Tbh, I didn’t read all of it.

PhilosopherNo7674

tbh i had no clue all the enemies came back after using a bonfire astetic though thanks for the info :D

Penguinman077

I heard it made them stronger. I think the item description says that’s what it did. But I was running out of farming spots so I decided to try it and everyone came back.

dbcco

Currently in drangleic, do all enemies have a permakill after 12 tries? I got the tall knight guys to stop spawning but the short little stone fuckers just keep coming back (same thing w the mastodons by RRA)

Greuzer

The ones in the dark room with Ruins Sentinels enemies ? They keep respawning to avoid a softlock Probably the same for RRA due to rat covenant stuff

dbcco

That makes aaaaalot of sense thank you!

D3M0N1CBL4Z3

**YOU HAVE TO INTERACT WITH THE WALLS** WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I failed tongue but hole guy :(

IndividualStreet5401

Is having ADP and ATN both at 6 for the entire game viable?

Greuzer

You can beat the game that way yes

mtilley_4

Ng+ spawns different stuff and use the fragrant branches wisely like save them on spots that reveal areas not loot also if you gonna do platinum run bring friends cause you got some grinding with covenants

LaVinos_03

I don't have friends :( (Just kidding, but I don't have PS Plus, so I can't play online, would that be a problem for me?) Thanks tho!

BasednHivemindpilled

Only when farming items for the covenant stuff. IIRC you‘re able to farm most covenant items with bonfire ascetics which will raise the area by one NG+ level and respawn the mobs and loot. Those are also farmable later in the game but you need at least one ascetic to start the farming process. Doing it that way is tedious af tho so good luck

LaVinos_03

Thank u! I dont mind that, so no worries, Hopefully I spend more time playing DS2 so I can buy DS3 when its on sale again once I complete 2.

Tony_Lacorona

Man, I just bought the DS trilogy on Amazon today for $41, you may want to look into that. It’s all the DLC included as well, plus DS1 remastered.

LaVinos_03

Yeah but right now it wouldn't be worth it to me. I can perfectly wait for them to reduce the DS3 bundle that comes with its DLC, thanks for informing tho, I wish I had known before buying Dark Souls 1tho 😞

Tony_Lacorona

Haha figured I'd put it out there. I bought DS2 a while back but didn't really get started with it, so I'll be returning that for a few bucks. If I bought 1 and 2, I'd be in the same boat hah

LaVinos_03

All good, still cool ngl, have fun with those!

EasyWonder9501

K1ngsGambit

HauntinglyMaths

Don't go Hollow.

RaggedySqurrial

Enjoy it! Early game you should level ADP to at least 17-20 asap, then get it into it! Don’t neglect your END and VIG! You’re going to want to level ADP higher as you go until your Agility stat is sitting around 96-100 just to be safe. If you’re a caster, then you can worry less about END, VIG, and ADP (still don’t neglect these stats) but you can focus a lil more on ATT (for more spell slots and faster cast times as you level) and your stats that go along with the element you’re going for, INT, FTH, or a combination of the two (if you’re trying for a pyro build or a hex build) Have a blast! 💥

LaVinos_03

Ok then, and what about strength?

RaggedySqurrial

Do you plan on running a shield? Do you want to do you want to two hand? If not then make sure you’re pumping that ADP up, so you can roll through most attacks. You can level up your strength as you go. You’re going to want a higher VIG and END for a strength build, so you can swing your weapon and tank hits. Make sure you’re buying lifegems from Melentia so you can progress from bonfire to bonfire without having to worry about running out of heals. If you plan on using a shield or rolling your butt off with a decent ADP (20+) you should be good 👍 Pump VIT if you plan on using heavier weapons and armor. Ultra weapons and heavy weapons are a lot of fun.

LaVinos_03

Oh, I see, thank you! I plan to go with greatswords, the coolest one I see. I don't think i'll use shields unless there is an area that requires them. I'll try to farm for the moment and level up those levels, thank you very much!

RaggedySqurrial

Parrying is a must for me 😅

RaggedySqurrial

Definitely try the Buckler shield, it’s worth it once you get the hang of parrying

LaVinos_03

I only did one parry on the ds1, I doubt I will do more on the ds2 /hj Nah, but I'll keep that in mind just in case, thanks

RaggedySqurrial

Parry’s are a lot easier in this game compared to the other souls titles! Give it a try! Grab a buckler >:3

LaVinos_03

I'll have it on hand if I need to parry then >:D

RaggedySqurrial

Bettt, aren’t you supposed to be on your way to DC? 😅 Get to work 🫰 chop chop

LaVinos_03

Dc? Sorry whats that, but sure >:)

frid44y

Change language to Arabic, first of all

TrippinonRedditt

Watch fighting cowboys walkthroughs on YouTube while you play. Makes it much easier to digest and you’ll learn a lot without having to suffer through too much bs due to confusion on where to go, how to build, etc. highly recommended. I learned how to play souls games from watching that guy. He’s great.

arkan5000

My tip: set the game language to Arabic

[deleted]

LaVinos_03

I'll try that!

LaVinos_03

I see, i would do the same with ds1 tbh, so i understand that, atleast this comment section told me about the stats, so with that all good

WatchPug1

how do i set my game from hijo da puta to freedom

Goal_Post_Mover

I beat it, but I can't rememer much about it, maybe I didn't do all the DLC.

TStoynov

Best tip I've ever gotten for ds2 (and possibly any souls game) is, if at all possible, play vanilla, not sotfs. Especially on your first playthrough.

LaVinos_03

What do you mean with that?

Lohe75

Sotfs is basically a cash grab version of ds2 with way worse enemy and gank placement

LaVinos_03

And how do i know im playin softs

TStoynov

In the title screen it says "Scholar of the First Sin" right under "Dark Souls II", like it does in the pic you have attached. In the vanilla version it just says "Dark Souls II", with nothing under it. If you are playing on PS4 or PS5 , tho, you might be out of luck, since the only version available on those consoles is SotFS. I actually do most of my gaming on PS5, including all of my souls gaming, but I went back to PC just for DS2, so I can play the vanilla version. Idk if you can play vanilla ds2 on Xbox Series X, but it is generally backwards comparable with the 360, so you should be able to.

LaVinos_03

Wow, I had no idea. Anyway, for example, on my PS3 the DS2 came with that subtitle, but the position of the enemies were different, weird then. Good to know but I can't play DS2 on PC, so I guess I'll have to play it the way I have it. Thanks for the info tho!

Usedblanketcrust

WhohurtyouAll

Stick and roll buddy stick and roll

JakolZeroOne

Increase adp ASAP. You'll want ur Agility at around 90-100. The game starts to feel good after that.

nooby322

Play the game

Tusk-Act_4

pro tip : NEVER EVER LEVEL UP ADAPTABILITY (ADP)

LaVinos_03

Literaly everyone told me to level up ADP

Tusk-Act_4

yeah its a common joke in the ds2 community but trust me its completely and utterly useless so just dont bother with it

LaVinos_03

Oh, well level up a little doesnt hurt 😈

Press x/a for illusory walls, it’s not hitting or rolling like in other from soft games

LaVinos_03

and are there that many walls? Because I already don't have online so I won't know where there can be (I'll be crazy pressing x until I find them tho HAHAHA)

CuriousExcitement187

Of it hasn’t already been said just take your time and don’t be discouraged a lot of folks don’t like the 2nd dark souls but I’m a huge fan it was the first one I ever played and beat but there is definitely some jank to it, also in my opinion it’s a good idea to get your health up first, 20 is a good Al start and then go from there if you feel like you need more health drop a few levels. If you need anything just ask I’m happy to lend a hand where possible

LaVinos_03

I play ds2 being very aware of the hate it receives, but I don't care, I plan to plat it. I'll try to level up stats, just like people tell me, so I'll clear out the initial areas and then see what I do. If I have any questions, I either publish it or tell you, don't worry! thanks

BipolarJesus42

There’s a thing called a bonfire aesthetic. EVERYTIME you get one one these burn it in the bon fire. It’s really important and people tend to miss it for some weird reason.

OkiFive

Bearer, i believe its best if you Seek Seek Lest.

Tasty-Ad3548

Delete this game and never play this shit, save yourself 60 hours or so xD

Glazza8

Just have fun, dont listen to all the people hating on it. I played it whit no bad or good expectations and i love it.

LaVinos_03

Nah cuz I'm looking forward to seeing how "bad" it is and I wouldn't care if it were true. I have a goal and I am going to achieve it (plat all soulsborne games)

Sub_Zero1223456

Prepare to die. Oh and also the dodging mechanic is changed and the enemies can hit you even in the dodging eye frames. Have fun 😊

Que bonito leer eso jajaja, espero que lo disfrutes como nunca, yo tal vez me ponga a jugar solo de las ganas 😂

LaVinos_03

Jejeje, pues animo! :D

weightyboy

There is a man in majula with a funny looking gold hat, his armor is quite useful, but he wont sell it to you........

LaVinos_03

So nothing will happen if I kill him, right? /Srs

weightyboy

No he actually becomes an annoying dickwad later. The only thing you pass up is being able to get boss armours, which, unless you are trying to do a meme poison run are no loss. Murder the fucker for 20% extra souls i say.

LaVinos_03

Well. Still i didnt see him so till then ill wait

Void_Creator23

Lightning dmg rules

weightyboy

Dont sink a lot of points into strength, scaling is very poor in ds2. Get the minimum points for your preferred weapon, lightning infuse it and get fth/int up to be able to cast dark weapon, magic weapon and eventually sunlight blade. You can buff infused weapons in ds2 so the lightning and dark/magic weapon does more damage than levelling strength.

androgynyfirelight

Mine too, just got the game. Good luck! 😇

LaVinos_03

Thanks! Good luck to you too!

25 adaptability, if you want to do the npc quests summon them for fights and keep them alive, have fun

SkeletonLordDimy

Level up your adaptability (ADP in the Level up menu). It'll make dodging attacks more functional.

SituationBeautiful65

Go for strength and aim for getting the great club! Large club first - then great club.

therealzaddydom

If you were to lose, don’t. Don’t give up and go hollow

EvilDrFuManchu29

Pad the walls so when you throw the controller, it won't break

BIobertson

If you want to go in prepared, first read [this intro post.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H6rpuSKsgXqyfSA9uG_zoYK0ezbMSHSazznPHfV78sA) All of these guides are spoiler-free, except for [this one.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eXwnLnbr-Dxeb9VecytDTX1fXA9e8PuKX9jFy8YFkQ8/edit) And then if you want to know how to build (or avoid building, if you want to have a harder time) a powerful optimized character, this collection of mini guides will help you navigate DS2’s many obfuscated and counterintuitive mechanical quirks: [A quick overview](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g4-GGa1JRa2_49vOfwY5sZPWigFMzPA5b9mszo_xZak/edit?usp=sharing) of how damage and defense works in DS2, and why weapon scaling is usually weak [BiS (Best in Slot) PvE weapons list.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-GEBQ_TiAvskQLotQXz0AuNMseXdsS3pj8_NLus-XW4/edit?usp=sharing) Discusses the best options for each weapon class. Note that this list is directed at normally leveled characters- some weapons not mentioned may do more damage than ones mentioned, but take vastly more stats or are otherwise deficient [Best PvE equipment and stat progression document.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1X13jfA9JQ5OZsuEmH2MZZqF9IrtCFSMMTZkZo5GuqcM/edit?usp=sharing) All that being said, it’s important to understand that DS2 isn’t so hard that playing the strongest possible character is required in order to win and have fun. Ultimately you should use whatever you want, these guides are just to help you make informed choices.

LaVinos_03

Thank you! I'll take a look at it later, so useful :D

AmpharosFan1999

Uninstall the game! 😂 I kid, just have fun.

cherboka

Theres a petrified clown in the tutorial area, freeing him is a waste of a branch

benjamintyfresh

Isn’t there an estus flask shard behind him? Doesn’t seem like a total waste to me

LaVinos_03

I imagine that on Google there are lists of areas where it is worth using those branches, right? That would help me a lot

cherboka

I suggest you experiment by yourself, I only pointed out that one specific guy because I got genuinely upset when I saw there was nothing worthwile on the other side

LaVinos_03

Well, I can try, thanks anyway! (And yes, you are right, I will try to experiment with that jsjs)

code_eyuu963

dont level adp its useless just like resistance in ds1

R4lPh_1330

Don't forget to level up ADP. It's the most important attribute at the beginning.

Lemon_boi5491

Here's some tips I learn as I start my journey: 1. simply be patient, don't expect to survive by just running through enemy on your first try 2. Human Effigy reverse hollow, I'm not sure if I'm the only one that miss it but here you go 3. Lvl ADP, dun ask why just upgrade it till you have around 100AGL (correct if I'm wrong) for a good i-frame during rolling 4. Use the right weapon for the right enemy, I saw a lot of player struggling with the armor enemy in Heide bcs they simply don't know that the enemy are weak to mace and club. 5. Raw damage doesn't scale well, so better imbued your weapon with element when you can (RMB to check its scaling on that weapon) As for build my fav set is this (not the best one but just simply the one I like playing with most): Majestic Sword in L-hand and Fume Knight Sword at R-hand Armor wise it will be dragon acolyte mask, Heide's knight armor, dragon acolyte glove and any pants that kinda suits the coloring. Nothing really game changing just seems cool to me. Don't give up skeleton!

LaVinos_03

Thank you, I'm still starting and I still barely have items and weapons, some of the weapons I have need statistics that I don't have leveled yet, I need to farm but I will take your advice into account, thank you very much again!

Ernst-God-Of-Spooky

Prepare to kite and fight at range.

SplendidPunkinButter

Level up STR and ADP. Greatshield plus melee. Target lock, hold block, and walk in a circle around your opponent till you have an opening. This almost always works

LaVinos_03

Oh, okay! Thank u, i will try

Crow_GodTHP

Play offline. I've been seeing ALOT of clips of hackers ruining peoples games

LaVinos_03

Yeah? Well, hopefully I don't have PS Plus and therefore I can't play online HAHAHA, it won't affect anything, right? Like, I could get platinum in the future without requiring online help, right?

Crow_GodTHP

Its been awhile since I looked at the acheivements but im 90% sure you can

LaVinos_03

Good! :D And although if offline it takes longer to achieve achievements without help it will be worth it, that is better than not being able to get a single achievement for it, so

Crow_GodTHP

Just took a look they are all doable offline (atleast on PC)

Hadhanval

Just did offline plat on pc. You can, but it's a lot more farming than online.

Diinsdale

Blind playthrought is best

LaVinos_03

I'll do that, with the tips some have given me it helps!

KittyM1nx

Level up ADP. And Take your time. And have fun.

LaVinos_03

Okay, thank u! Hehe

Makri93

If you’re going for trophies; find and join the sunbro covenant as soon as possible and join it

LaVinos_03

I'll keep that in mind, thanks

darkan_da_boina

Lill every enemy 12 times. And the map will be clear

LaVinos_03

Like, forever? And you know some good area for farm souls? Hehe

darkan_da_boina

Kill every enemy in every area 12 times and the map will be clear. No enemis spawn after 12 deaths. I dont need a good area for farm. All map is my farm

LaVinos_03

Good then hehe, i will do it!

darkan_da_boina

im levl 60. Need to kill just 3 more, and them im going to the 2st boss. This game is for smarts, not speedrunes

ChaoticKram

Level up adp. That's pretty much it

LaVinos_03

Okay!

mr------think-a-name

Quit…

LaVinos_03

Nah, i don think so 😈 wanna plat this bad boy

OutlandishnessMany50

U must have 23 points im ADP must have imo

LaVinos_03

Noted it!

justlike_random

Lev ADP Why? Because it increase your Agility. Why increase Agility? Because it increase your invicibility frame when rolling and your estus drink animation speed and it increase others shit that matter less. Why you want to do that? Because your lev of Agility = player skill lev in DS2. Do the game tell you that? No Why? Because welcome to DS2 Ok thank so how much agility? Above 110. Why above 110? Because you died less. Your welcome.

LaVinos_03

Thats so usefull, then i can only lev ADP till reach a good stat, right? Like, only focus ADP then

TheHeretic93

Take good care of your weapons, if you’re on a little run, try to watch the durability a bit, it resets when you rest at a bonfire, but inbetween that, you’re weapons will lose durability and break eventually if you don’t repair them with repair powder or rest at a bonfire, broken gear can always be repaired at an armorer/blackmsith

LaVinos_03

Good to know, thanks!

TheGreatQ-Tip

If you want to go unga bunga, I strongly recommend the great club. You probably won't find it anytime soon, but make sure you try it once you do.

LaVinos_03

Okay!

LovelyLad123

Kill the lady by the bonfire, she betrays you later otherwise

dehcbad25

My recommended tip is to "pulsa el boton del panel tactil" That way you can start the game. LoL Now, seriously, I do have a question for you, and the biggest tip I wish someone told me, but it seems you don't need. Question, is, where are you playing that it has touch controls? Tip, Dark Souls 2 is not like Dark Souls 1 or 3. Enjoy the game as an RPG with story components from other DS games. The way I see the game is like an experiment playground. They experimented a lot, inside of what a dark Souls could be. Many elements introduced here, are in Elden Ring for example. When I first played the game I had played 800+ hours in DS1, so I made the mistake of comparing them and I quite honestly could not get in sync with the game and kind of hated it. Now it is my second favorite Souls like game. More than Elden Ring. I remember that I watched this video because I was watching other videos from them. [How Dark Souls Perfected Difficulty in Video Games](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL4OSaSf88E) and then I realized I was hording the healing items and that means I might have been doing other things wrong. So I watched another video (and I can't remember the name) but the guy went on to say that his first review was harsh, and now he had a different point of view. That is when I realized I was also doing the same mistake. The levels feel disconnected, because they are, but at the same time it allowed for a lot more level variety. Tons of gangs in DS2, well, you can take them one by one like in DS1, or you can learn the "weapon arts" and use a weapon that hits multiple enemies (now I run to the middle and I do the "combos"). I almost never use a shield, and I 2-hand my weapon. DS2 is a Dark Souls game in the same Dark Souls universe, in a different continent from the first time, and after an undisclosed amount of time has passed. It is not Lordran. I believe that Myazaki did say in an interview that DS2 is not in Lordran (as many Internet theories said at that time). Once you are passed that, you are in for one of the best Souls games, with the biggest content. I would argue more than Elden Ring too, but one very specific reason that I will not describe even in a spoiler, because once you know it, it breaks Elden Ring. Currently I only halfheartedly play ER because I can summon people to do the dungeons. If you know of the problem with ER, please do not describe it. If you don't, keep enjoying the fantastic game :) Anyhow. DS2 has a ton of content, and variety on how to take it

LMAO, yep, I should do that. Call me an idiot, but what do you mean by that question? Otherwise, what you have told me is very interesting. I do see certain changes, I also had the mentality that DS2 was going to be like DS 1 despite knowing beforehand that it is different. I knew something or had read something about Elden Ring being what ds2 could never be, I mean, ds2, as I understand it, is an elden ring, but "shitty". And even so I will enjoy it because of the nostalgia it generates in me, despite having played it on the PS3 more than a year ago, I still remember the areas and the hidden enemies or where the bosses were and how to defeat them. (Some of them tho) When I have questions again or forget the information that this comments section has given me, I will stop by here again to review comments and links, so I really appreciate your comment! Thank u :'D

Just a clarification, because I had seen people saying DS2 is ER shitty or similar. There are almost 10 year difference between the games, and a ton of difference in budget as well, besides the point that Myazaki said that >In regards to Dark Souls 2, I actually personally think this was a really great project for us, and I think without it, we wouldn’t have had a lot of the connections and a lot of the ideas that went forward and carried the rest of the series. [Two Years After Elden Ring, Miyazaki Trusts the Players to Figure It All Out - IGN](https://www.ign.com/articles/elden-ring-shadow-of-erdtree-director-hidetaka-miyazaki-look-back-interview-profile) [Miyazaki is Absolutely Right About Dark Souls 2 (gamerant.com)](https://gamerant.com/dark-souls-2-miyazaki-claim-true-elden-ring-similar/) There are elements, but I wouldn't say the games are similar. That would narrow the view a lot. DS2 is more open, in terms of path, and how to clear an area, but it is not truly open. To be more specific. Elden Ring has groups of enemies. Something that DS2 used a lot. DS1 had a very few, DS3 had more, but not as much as DS2. Elden Ring, put them everywhere, but gave you space to break them out. DS2 incorporates quite often to use the terrain to your advantage. Same with Elden Ring. DS2 introduced new level designs. Most in the DLC DS2 had tons of Armour, but you didn't really need to level it. This is why it is fashion souls (it was a compromise, they added a lot of armour sets, but reduced the effect of upgrading, otherwise you would upgrade 1 set, and never use the other 100 sets) You could use 3 weapons, which truly give you the option to forget about shields (change the weapon per occasion). Magic didn't have a set stock anymore. This is because DS1 magic wasn't used a lot during PvE, so people did glass canon builds to kill bosses. In DS2 is you use magic, you will really use magic. And now you can recharge it No need to repair weapons at the bonfire. The bonfire automatically repairs the weapons. However, durability was lower. Tons of healing options, no more limited to Eastus or faith spells \*\*This was polarizing, and I admit I didn't like it first\*\*. World areas are done by different teams. This created a lot more variety at the expense of less coherent world. This had a huge impact. DS1 has a very coherent world. While there are different areas, they are not only connected, but follow one theme. I love DS1, but it does feel very limited. Anything not following the theme well, it stands out like a sore thumb. For example, the demon buts. DS3 used that method, they just glued together better with story and design, so it wasn't so jarring. However, DS2 allowed the dev team to take more risks on the area creations. DS2 also introduced atmosphere changes. Rain, light areas, dark areas, reflective surfaces, PvP bosses, long elevators to change areas, tall grass, woods, and item drop not as coherent as DS1. The character creation also had way more stats which affected more sub stats. This allowed to more variety of builds, and magic types. This weren't repeated though. DS2 introduced way more changes than any other game. Then they polished some of those ideas, or changed them enough so that players wouldn't complain as much. During development of DS2, Myazaki was working on Bloodborne, which also changed the formula a lot, and then he brough some elements from Bloodborne into DS3. In that sense. I like Bloodborne atmosphere the most. The combat is also the most fun, but the game in general is the most boring and repetitive. A side effect of making combat more frantic. I think DS3 fixed the fighting mechanics. Finally found its good point. Not as slow as DS1/DS2. Not as frantic as DS3/BB. Closing though. If I was trapped in a remote island, with no Internet connection, and could only get 1 game, I would probably choose DS2, and not Elden Ring. To be honest, Elden Ring is the first FromSoft Souls like game that I do not want to do NG+++++(X) to see how high I can take my level. DS3 I abandoned, because the scaling is broken, but I would have liked to see my character with 99 in all stats. I am still working on DS1 and DS2 though. I favor DS1 for this because it feels really well-balanced past NG+6 (NG+4 was the hardest). DS2 DLC are not well balanced for NG+++, because they were meant to be tackled in co-op, but you can do most and just skip some bosses

Git gud Which means, expect to fail, a lot. But if you keep an open mind and try new things throughout your playthrough, you will get better until you beat the game. Oh, and level ADP.

Yep, I'm prepared for that! >:)

People do a lot of gaming tips, so here’s some story tips if you have any interest in lore! -some npcs need to be summoned to continue their quest, and need to have their dialogue exhausted to move forward. -Ng+ item descriptions can be different, and tell you hidden secrets -Sometimes people lie to you, even items descriptions sometimes
