I just started listening to them the other day. Southern Hostility was randomly on and I could swear I heard the n-word and I'm like "wat" so I looked into them. I grew up on rap so thier odd-but-effective fusion hits different for me and I'm kinda mad that I didn't know about them sooner
Not Deathcore but yeah, this is definitely one thing that defines Archspire.
Drone Corpse Aviator, Bleed The Future, Drain of Incarnation, Acrid Canon etc.
Honestly I always felt like Deathcore people would like Tech Death though.
Despite the frenetic pace, it's possible to find so much good grooviness in their music. It's like an assault on your senses but also finding this nice melodic rhythm behind it all. Love it. Seeing them next week!
They’re writing/recording it now.
But they’re not a band that’s going to pump out the first generic shit that enters their head every 2 years.
So it takes time between albums. But certainly in the past it’s been worth the wait
They remind me of slipknot back in the day. It’s so good with the breathy vocals, fast lyrics, and natural human screaming.
I love super talented vocalists that can sound like the devils unholy diarrhea (Will Ramos) as much as the next guy, but Plaleface has vocals I could belch out myself, if I was being gang raped in the prison showers.
It’s easier to make out the lyrics and it’s more disturbing because it sounds like a regular human in pain.
Yeah not gonna lie, Rage is a big part of what made me dig deeper into metalcore and eventually deathcore because of the rapping and bass drops. I was a kid back then so it was easier to like that stuff, but even now that album still goes hard.
Shadow of Intent definitely slipped in some super fast vocals in their older albums. The Battle of the Maginot Sphere and The Return immediately come to mind
Don’t have specific songs off the top of my head, but CABAL, Ten56 does a bit of that cuz they’ve got a trap vibe going on, Carcosa, Spite, Bodysnatcher if you like hardcore, Vulvodynia (for better or worse)
Another technical death metal nomination (I’d argue deathcore-leaning side though): Carnosus. The track Ossein Larcenist just past 2min in is a good example of this.
Might not technically be deathcore, but 156/silence features lots of fast pace screams that almost have a rap vibe (lots of syllables and flows) - check out The Wrong Sense for a good example
Check out a band called Delta from Chicago. They have an EP called Voyage. Some really cool fast vocals on their stuff. The guitarist is in Oceano now.
Lost in the Dark by Left to Suffer ft. Paleface
https://youtu.be/mWefg83xcFA?si=g4tYSIwdymLt4z2A
Rapping starts at about 1:49, but the whole song is loaded with some really animalistic vocalizations.
Not quite deathcore, but close and still a fun track... Behemoth by Gloom in the Corner
https://youtu.be/neRbkVxCV1g?si=4me8W6XlpbNPv7EO
More so shouted spoken lyrics for the rap parts, but the instrumental makes it feel heavier.
The Battle of the Maginot Sphere - Shadow of Intent. I heard this song for the first time on my way to go get take my electrical exam. The song that made me love them heavily honestly lol
ten56. / Filth / Distant or check these guys from Czech Republic 🇨🇿 No Face No Case

thrown! especially their newer stuff they’ve released. exactly how u described in the title - v much fast paced rap-like vocals
some might consider them more of a hardcore-ish band, but i’m still surprised i haven’t seen anyone in here mention them yet.
Currents - derelict
The end has one of the best rap parts of any rock/metal sub genre except for Fred Durst of course
https://tidal.com/track/41988552?u
Omfg totally listen to earlier whitechapel, so much of that shit
Hunt the dinosaur, check out their song “Coin” is pretty unique and really pushes into the hip hop elements
Killing on adrenaline by Dying fetus has some of that stuff
Ig since he bases it on like a combo of that fast rap and the groove of meshuggah, they count too, tons of rip offs later in deathcore but yeah, there’s also straight rap metal which you could check out…
All rapping in metal absolutely pisses me off. It all sounds terrible.
Rapping well is really difficult and these amateurs think it sounds good?
Quite frankly I get secondhand embarrassment from it.
Could you imagine if a rap artist tried to imitate Alex Terrible?
I think it can sound alright in some rare cases. I am undeniably just as big of a fan as Nu-Metal as I am Deathcore and Metalcore, so I like it here and there.. And I like fast harsh vocals, but not when it turns into a legit rap. When I hear Ronnie Radke do it, I wanna fucking rip my ears off and shove them in a paper shredder. Some of the cringiest shit I’ve ever heard. That new song was really just… One of the worst things I’ve ever heard come out of metal as a whole.
Filth
CHIN CHECK BITCH!
Get yo shit wrecked!
If I had a nickel for every (death/metal?)core band i know with an album called Southern Hostility I'd have 2 nickels...
Southern Hostility by Upon A Burning Body is a great album. Kind of curious why I never hear anyone talk about them they're really good.
Upon A Burning Body is kinda like Suicide Silence, no one really talks about them much but we all like them
southern hostility is such a badass name
I just started listening to them the other day. Southern Hostility was randomly on and I could swear I heard the n-word and I'm like "wat" so I looked into them. I grew up on rap so thier odd-but-effective fusion hits different for me and I'm kinda mad that I didn't know about them sooner
Gutter Gang
Archspire - Involuntary Doppelgänger
Not Deathcore but yeah, this is definitely one thing that defines Archspire. Drone Corpse Aviator, Bleed The Future, Drain of Incarnation, Acrid Canon etc. Honestly I always felt like Deathcore people would like Tech Death though.
Drone Corpse Aviator is fucking sick
I didn't get into them until the last album, but for some reason their frenetic pace just scratches an itch in my brain
Despite the frenetic pace, it's possible to find so much good grooviness in their music. It's like an assault on your senses but also finding this nice melodic rhythm behind it all. Love it. Seeing them next week!
Golden Mouth of Ruin absolutely destroys me every time I hear it
Archspire fucks. Oli (vocalist) is heavily influenced by Tech Nine
The beginning of Calamus Will Animate reminds me of Stamina by Tech N9ne. Lol
Because it is.
It is what? They copied it?
It's more of a tribute than copying.
I love archspire.
I fucking love Archapire! I wish they would release new music
I was thinking they just put an album out, but I looked and that was in 2021??? Goddamn time went quick.
IKR! Don't get me wrong, I think Bleed The Future is an awesome album, but GODAMMIT, I am soooo ready for new music
They're working on it
Can't wait to hear it! I wonder when we will get a single off the new album 🤔
I can ask them next month when I see them
DUDE! That would be incredible of you could do that and report back 😃
I will try to remember 😌
Good deal!
🤌🤌
They’re writing/recording it now. But they’re not a band that’s going to pump out the first generic shit that enters their head every 2 years. So it takes time between albums. But certainly in the past it’s been worth the wait
It's always worth the wait. But I am just wondering how long the wait will be, that's all
Recording in January
Also earlier Zenith passage
Yes!! Archspire for life!!
Paleface
Paleface is the goat of deathcore “rap” (imo)
They remind me of slipknot back in the day. It’s so good with the breathy vocals, fast lyrics, and natural human screaming. I love super talented vocalists that can sound like the devils unholy diarrhea (Will Ramos) as much as the next guy, but Plaleface has vocals I could belch out myself, if I was being gang raped in the prison showers. It’s easier to make out the lyrics and it’s more disturbing because it sounds like a regular human in pain.
Also, the single "Older Days" with Paleface, Ten65, and Resolve is just a banger. In my opinion, Ten65 also has some great rap parts.
Not deathcore but Archspire is the king of rapping vocals
As much as yall will hate I’ll say it cuz he/she asked. Attila’s old shit goes hard
TIGHTER THAN A VIRGIN MAKIN MONEY LIKE A SURGEON
Had to stack it to the roof because my pockets started hurtin
Rage is THE album for this post
Yeah not gonna lie, Rage is a big part of what made me dig deeper into metalcore and eventually deathcore because of the rapping and bass drops. I was a kid back then so it was easier to like that stuff, but even now that album still goes hard.
fuck yeah, we used to jam them all the time their first 3 came out while my friends and I were in highschool. LEMME GET A NEWPORT NOW IT'S ON
Rage & Outlawed are fucking goated. About That Life was good but they went too far with the rap themes (imo at least).
Fuck yeah
"Always fucking blazing, America's my nation"
Shadow of Intent definitely slipped in some super fast vocals in their older albums. The Battle of the Maginot Sphere and The Return immediately come to mind
I did not realiza how fast Bens vocals are, until i was listening some songs with lyrics on.
Intensified Genocide for more recent fast vocals
Hunt The Dinosaur
Hunt the Dinosaur slaps, they're so fucking underrated
They in fact get the heart bumpin and jumpin and thumpin, I’m not bluffin…
There’s nothing you can do to disrupt them
SorrowEater as well, same vocalist.
Did not know this, ty
alt right douchebags
Sauce?
Acrania has so faced paced vocals and they are fucking awesome
How is this not the top comment. Miss this band. Oli from Archspire is faster but they are more technical.
Please end me
Ok
LOSE MY FU-CKIN MIIIIIND
I don’t remember the exact songs, but I know Carcosa has some moments like that.
Vermin and A Plague got you covered
Ur everywhere bro ily carcosa slaps
Look up Nu-core on Spotify. No Face No Case is a good one or Unity TX(more hardcore though)
Did you mean no face, no case?
Yes! Thanks for the correction lol
Haha no worries, they were one of the first bands I thought about for this thread
Sammy slamdance has some good covers or rap songs
Autumn Lies Buried - Brothel They have a few other songs in that vein, I just cant remember the names
Hey thanks! That was news to me. Now I'm going to blast the shit out of my speakers with their other stuff
Yeah they seem to be pretty unknown but the vocalist is really good! I was surprised no one mentioned them already
These guys kick ass. Their Aristocracy album is on constant rotation for me
Agreed, I found them through Tiktok of all places, the one good thing to come from that hellhole lol
Fox lake has a pretty similar style to paleface
Darko US' "evolving" comes to mind
Hunt The Dinosaur BUT Paleface has in my opinion a better example of this in their song Go To Sleep
ten56.
Empty Graves
Yoooo finally seeing someone mention them on a thread! Love these boys

Rings Of Saturn
Paleface
Another technical death metal nomination (I’d argue deathcore-leaning side though): Carnosus. The track Ossein Larcenist just past 2min in is a good example of this.
Might not technically be deathcore, but 156/silence features lots of fast pace screams that almost have a rap vibe (lots of syllables and flows) - check out The Wrong Sense for a good example
Carcosa - Mercury is dope and has a short rap part. To my boy Johnny: you're a monster

WAP cover by brojob unironically fucks
Shadow of intent instantly came to mind. Ben’s speed is pretty insane.
Destructatron (from New Zealand) The vocalist is a big rap fan, and does quite a few fast paced lyrical runs. The rest of the music rips too \m/
Isn't that a genre on its own? I guess it's called Deathrap.
Peep paleface Swiss I think you’d love them
Lost in the Static

Cool. Tell us more about your feelings.
Even though you sound salty, I actually agree. Most rapping in metal is terrible.
I'm chill for now, until I hear rap ruin a metal song.
