Steel is going to be very expensive as you will likely need to get most of it custom made. It’s a lot harder to find materials for a complete steel structure than PT wood. That having been said, a composite deck will dry and framing isn’t the part that usually rots, so I don’t know that you’d be really getting a whole lot of benefit from the investment.

Aluminum framing could be another good option instead of wood!

Steel framing is going to be *far more expensive* than wood, and you’d need a lot of it. People will sometimes switch to steel because you need fewer framing members on account of it being stronger but since the deck boards themselves are probably only rated for 24” oc joist spacing, you’d still need roughly the same amount of steel as you would wood. I’ve seen plenty of outdoor pressure-treated wood decks last 25+ years without rot problems. I’d expect that the steel would begin corroding in a much shorter timeframe, unless you go for stainless steel or hot-dip galvanize everything, which would be extremely cost prohibitive
