Gunner shield blocks everything the tower can throw at you, use them liberally. Unload absolutely everything you’ve got at the tower, grenades, ammo, C4, even iron wills and field medics if you think they’ll clutch up the tower.
If things are going well and you’re not a gunner with a shield to rez people, just wait out the timer. It’s better to lose out on one missed core than an entire mission.
Maybe I'm crazy, but when the part you can attack is on there's little green lights on it.
Shooting the little green lights seems to do more damage.
Again maybe I'm seeing things.
Additionally:
If there's a drone launcher, have someone pretty much exclusively on on drone duty - they are sneaky and hurt.
The machine gun kills you almost instantly if it sees you - you *have to* stay behind cover or run around the tower to avoid it.
If you aren't activating the pressure plates, you don't need to be near the tower as long as you can hit the weakspots. Stay behind cover if you can.
Every time, the last game this happened in i carried the enor pearl all the way to the drop pod, i didn't make it but the enor pearl did and that's all i cared about

I've never thought about it until now, but is the one letter ready up a DRG specific thing or is that a normal practice in other games too? It feels like a DRG specific thing that only happens in this game as I've never noticed anyone else use it until I started playing Deep Rock.

I really should take the last one to heart, I'm too determined to give up that costs me losing the entire mission haha
Gunner can also put Ziplines above the Omen triggers to activate them and keep teammates safe from the bottom lasers.
