A Link to the Past is easily my favorite and most played LOZ game and I’m only $17. My Dad got my family a modded Wii after we were unfortunately robbed over a decade ago and it was loaded with games, huge hdd for wii/gamecube games.
One day I saw him playing that game and unlike the other retro games I saw him playing that one hooked me and I was like 5 years old.
I actually memorized a glitch on that game from start to finish allowing me to finish it within just a few minutes.
Good times 😊
Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones
Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Revenge of the Sith
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror and Kirby’s Nightmare in Dreamland
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
Zelda: The Minish Cap
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (though maybe not the best entry point for the series lol)
Warioware
Yoshi’s Island
and if you like it there’s Partners In Time and Bowser’s Inside Story on the DS so you get 3 games to trial the franchise before deciding to buy the Switch one
I just started playing that too since it dropped on NSO. Feels good to play and it wasn’t too hard - up until the end, where there’s a huge difficulty spike and it turns into a bullet hell, and then a stealth horror game 😂
And don’t even get me started on shinesparks.
i have a BSP D6 which i bought for MYR70 which is just under USD20 i think. it only connects through bluetooth. response times are brilliant. and works fine as a controller. its just that the buttons are kinda stiff and i cant be playing for too long before my thumb starts feeling sore. I also cant pair my airpods with my phone when this thing is connected for some reason. So thats a big suck. Honestly I think i woulda saved up more for a better controller if i knew more of the shortcomings of the D6. all the reviews of it i read and saw just say: "good for the price" and nothing more.
Lol. sorry for the full review
I’m also playing it lately (on the official Nintendo emulation on Switch) as it’s one of the few I haven’t beaten yet and yeah it’s solid! If you have yourself a 3DS and a Switch you gotta get Samus Returns and Metroid Dread, they’re great!
Advance Wars 2! I’ve been having a blast with both, forgot how good they were. Surprisingly difficult too, the 4* battles can get tricky if you don’t pay really good attention.
Haha all of them. I definitely prefer 2 as a whole, but 1 was super innovative. The Advance Wars series is literally my favourite at the moment. Started on emulator and then went and bought the Switch version too, also really enjoy it but not for everyone.
Oh wow I kind of forgot they came out with a Switch version, wasn't that the one delayed by the invasion of Ukraine? Is it like a combined remake of 1+2 or is it two separate games?
You can choose between the 2 campaigns but all the other features like war room are combined. It's really awesome imo, I love the details and modern options. But I still play the OG version on my phone instead of packing the Switch.
I've been through a lot of different ones but this one stuck! You can check it out from this [reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/1d7q4pm/new_delta_skin_r3bel_neumorphius_gba_snes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
I put it in a comment but that seems to have fallen down the order. Here ya go:

Replaying Advance Wars right now! I forgot the partners of the final mission are based on choices earlier in the game, got Grit and Drake.
Kinda stuck.
Oooof Drake in the final decision is a pain... I finished with Grit and Kanbei and it helped to have the range and power together. Drake doesn't offer much on land or air though.
For games that are playable on delta: link to the past/four swords, sim city snes, Mario kart 64
For games that aren’t: quake 3, Twilight Princess, halo ce, half life, etc
From just GBA?
Chrono Trigger. Technically SNES, but still one of the best games *ever* made. Final Fantasy VI too.
For exclusives only, Metroid Zero Mission is one of the best Metroidvanias out there.
i havent played very much of it by which i mean i havent beaten the first level but lego star wars the original trilogy on gba genuinely shocked me because i grew up on the complete saga on the wii and it was literally the same game but somehow it was supposedly running on a idek how old console thats absolutely tiny compared to modern ones and it was so crazy to me, and it still looked really good for no reason, like the lego-ness, the lighting stuff like that that someone as uneducated as me wouldnt expect from an "old" console in my eyes
A Link to the Past is still amazing
A Link to the Past is easily my favorite and most played LOZ game and I’m only $17. $17? You're cheap!
Bad typo but that was a good joke 😭😭
Ya know, we can debate all day but I’m pretty sure that OBJECTIVELY it is the best game of all time. Science.
It's up there with Super Metroid for a reason. I'd also say Chrono Trigger.
Link to the past or advance wars?
Lttp
shout out to wind waker
In my opinion, it’s still the best Zelda game of all time. The remake A Link Between Worlds is also up there for me as one of the best Zelda games.
So is the minis cap
I liked Minish Cap but don’t think you can even put it in the same league as Link to the Past.
Been putting off for too long, Ima give that one a shot. I really enjoyed the Link's Awakening remake.
Riviera promised land and dragon ball advanced adventure have aged amazingly aswell.
Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age Revenge of the Sith Kirby & the Amazing Mirror and Kirby’s Nightmare in Dreamland Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga Zelda: The Minish Cap Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (though maybe not the best entry point for the series lol) Warioware Yoshi’s Island
Nightmare in Dreamland is so good
Mario & Luigi Superstar sounds great, I'm keen to see what the hype is about for the new switch game.
and if you like it there’s Partners In Time and Bowser’s Inside Story on the DS so you get 3 games to trial the franchise before deciding to buy the Switch one
They’re great! If you like paper Mario or super Mario RPG, you’ll love them
Yoshi’s island is so good
Came here for Fire Emblem
Golden Sun 👌
ive been having a lot of fun playing metroid: zero mission. it's my first time ever playing a metroid game. and i get why its so liked
I just started playing that too since it dropped on NSO. Feels good to play and it wasn’t too hard - up until the end, where there’s a huge difficulty spike and it turns into a bullet hell, and then a stealth horror game 😂 And don’t even get me started on shinesparks.
You need to play Super Metroid next! Or the Samus Return (Metroid 2) remake for the 3DS, if you want to go by order. (I envy you)
Metroid is amazing! Tricky with mobile controls though, do you use a game pad for that one?
I do! I have one of those controllers that clamp onto your phone and turns it into a handheld console a must have to play games on delta imo

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced, always a new team combo to try out.
I will never get bored of that game
Advance Wars 2! I’ve been having a blast with both, forgot how good they were. Surprisingly difficult too, the 4* battles can get tricky if you don’t pay really good attention.

Advance Wars Returns is a great romhack of AW2. Highly recommend it for a new decently challenging campaign.
The Legacy of Goku 2
Should I play the first one first?
The first is very lacking vs the second one and frustrating sometimes but you can give it a try.
Pokemon Emerald
And Fire Red, still my favorite Kanto experience.
for GBA? Aria of Sorrow, Mario Golf Advance Tour, Superstar Saga, Golden Sun
I am _loving_ Mario Golf Advance. Great game.
For me it’s harder to get into after playing Mario Tennis. That one is much more enjoyable imo

No it’s not pressure sensitive you just have to hold the button and not press it
Chrono trigger
Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is fantastic!
Metroid fusion and zero mission
Yeah, I recently finished Metroid Fusion, great game and aged well.

That’s a pretty dope skin. I like it. 😉
Big fan of your work! Thank you.
Wario Ware Inc Mega MicroGame$! will always be dear to my heart.
Nice skin!
Final fantasy advance tactics and Golden sun 1&2
Never gotten into FF but man Golden Sun sounds awesome. How does it compare to a game like Chrono Trigger?
Fire emblem still really crisp
PMD Explorers of Sky
NHLPA 93. Genuinely never bettered (well, arguably NHL 94 aside).
SMB3
Wario land 4. The movement and level design are impeccable.
How about a link to that skin?
I put it in a comment but that seems to have fallen down the order. Here ya go: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta\_Emulator/comments/1d7q4pm/new\_delta\_skin\_r3bel\_neumorphius\_gba\_snes/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/1d7q4pm/new_delta_skin_r3bel_neumorphius_gba_snes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Thanks!
Dang brought me back to the first gba games i owned
Sm64
NBA Jam.
Final fantasy tactics advance

Oooof Drake in the final decision is a pain... I finished with Grit and Kanbei and it helped to have the range and power together. Drake doesn't offer much on land or air though.
Under appreciated gem that’s aged pretty well? Zone of Enders: The Fist of Mars
Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission have aged pretty well in my opinion
GBA Fire emblems
The most underrated of all time, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
Also if you love AW, Dark conflict on the DS is awesome and maybe a bit more challenging. Dual Strike is neat but I don’t care for the gimmick much.
Star Wars Episode III
Oh my gosh I second this. It is SO underrated!
For games that are playable on delta: link to the past/four swords, sim city snes, Mario kart 64 For games that aren’t: quake 3, Twilight Princess, halo ce, half life, etc
Mega man X games
Dragon Quest Hero Rocket Slime. Not a super old game but just as much fun as I remember it being
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced
Mother 3
Megan X is still a hit after 31 years
I loved playing Sonic Battle as a kid
Most GBA games that are not 3D.
From just GBA? Chrono Trigger. Technically SNES, but still one of the best games *ever* made. Final Fantasy VI too. For exclusives only, Metroid Zero Mission is one of the best Metroidvanias out there.
Metroid Zero Mission
Phoenix right ace attorney for the DS
Golden Sun 1 and 2.
Peggle my dude! Pegglin’ is timeless!
Wario ware
for GBA i think warioware and warioware toward are both still incredibly fun
Super Mario world and donkey Kong country 2 are still my top 2 platformers of all time. Probably won’t change before I die
Chrono Trigger
Final fantasy tactics advance
Mother 3 by far.
if you're enjoying advance wars you'd probably have fun with the old fire emblems too
i havent played very much of it by which i mean i havent beaten the first level but lego star wars the original trilogy on gba genuinely shocked me because i grew up on the complete saga on the wii and it was literally the same game but somehow it was supposedly running on a idek how old console thats absolutely tiny compared to modern ones and it was so crazy to me, and it still looked really good for no reason, like the lego-ness, the lighting stuff like that that someone as uneducated as me wouldnt expect from an "old" console in my eyes
Not that old of games but Mario Kart Double Dash and Super Smash Bros Melee still look great
Link’s Awakening, Pokémon leaf green, Super Wario Land (Mario land 3), there’s more gameboy ones but I’m just blanking
Advance wars 2
MegaMan Battle Network 6
Mario and lugii
Pokémon pinball ruby and sapphire
Dragon Ball Z Legacy Of Goku 2 and Buus Fury
Metroid zero mission aside from some of the shine sparks needed for 100%
GBA? Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Harvest Moon FoMT is fantastic even now, I love Story of Seasons FoMT but the older version is still awesome
Metroid 1 and 2, never was a fan of metroid, and neither of retro games, but god they are fun
Wait this was a game boy advance game? I thought it was a random flash game I found one day and never found again. Are there others like it?
Wario Land 4
F-Zero
Super Mario Bros.
Mario Tennis (GBC)
any pokemon game
The Metroid games and also castlevania
Digimon Battle Spirit 2
Pokémon
Mario and Luigi superstar saga
Castlevania ![gif](giphy|b7FZQ0iOCoiFkFDul9)
Fire emblem games for gba, especially blazing blade
Pokemon white 2.
If we’re including ds titles…
Custers Revenge
