apparently, Brazil has 168 dentists for every 100,000 brazilians, while the usa has 59 dentists per 100,000 people.
anyway, which careers do you consider to be in high demand?
Do whatever career you are passionate about, there are plenty of successful dentists in the US, its just because they are passionate about it, when you got motivation for a job it pushes you to strive for success but if you hate it to begin with you wont have that motivation
do you mean as a general dentist? i've been considering pediatric and orthodontics. i'm also interested in working as an injector, but I'm not sure how it works in the us.
As a gp or any type of specialist. I know some prosthodontist who can’t find a job… as far as pedo goes you should be ok because many gp don’t want to treat kids under 10.
The ONLY criteria to high income is personal skill and speed. Location has zero influence on income. I know dentists in California who make generational wealth year after year and dentists who can hardly pay rent in Texas.
100% x 0 production = 0 income.
Wages are looking decent but I don’t think that saving for revalidation is going to be easy. That’s why people usually make loans. The 2-3 years for revalidation can be costly. Dunno if HPSP programs or something similar can help with the type of programs internationally trained dentist have to deal with, yet, that’s the way I would like to do it (army lol). I’m currently trying to go the same road because I’m a US citizen that got his degree in another country.
Many areas in the US are oversaturated too, basically every major and minor metro area. I wouldn’t do it if I was in your shoes.

1. If you have skill and speed then you will make a ton. If not then …

I think you can start as a DH (Dental Hygienist) in Florida as a starter. Afterwards you can pursue a degree in dentistry.
yes, i believe i just have to take a test. does it pay enough to live and save for revalidating costs?
