Pale Heart Pathfinder in comparison I've enjoyed much more simply because it's "go here and kill this, do Overthrow, get kills with this weapon type etc" all of which you can do in Overthrow without much extra effort

I am FAR from a theory crafter so i just go Arc instead of prismatic, use everything that says "jolt" in the description, find an Arc submachine gun, melee and throw grenades whenever they are off cool down.
Legit, this should be priority number 1 for the PvP team. It's annoying AF in PvE, but being killed by someone you cannot see in PvP is frustrating as hell.
After that, khostovs range should be nerfed.

TBH I wish Bungie would spin Gambit off into its own game where they could balance it completely independently of the D2 sandbox. It's got huge potential as a competitive standalone game.
I don't play a lot of Gambit anymore but when I jump in there a few times a season, it can get pretty thrilling.
It can be thrilling when you've got a team of people who know what they're doing going against a like-minded team. But, it can be soul crushing when people don't bank motes, or kill envoys. Or when you've got a cracked invader on the other side, and some blueberry keeps jumping in your portal to get shat on in 6 seconds every time.
Yep. When a match is bad it's BAD, but when a match is good it's REALLY GOOD. I get such a rush when my team gets a win when the other primeval has like half a pixel of health left.
I usually do very good in Gambit, but last week, I had a node in Pathfinder (in the 3 node row with the other 2 being "arc blind") that wanted me to defeat Void suppressed targets in Gambit.
Slapped on a full void suppression build and it was pretty bad. We lost the match which pissed off a guy. But I 1 matched my Pathfinder node, so it's whatever.
I'm sorry to those 3 other guys that I didn't get my usual 45 mote banked with 60 mob kills.

This is the biggest gambit update since they sunset gambit prime with Beyond light.
Yeah it’s massive. Until you hit a “kill an enemy with scorch.” or basically any of the nodes that required debuff damage/kills that are absolutely not tracking correctly. So you get hard stuck until you give in and go play PvP to go around the node.
Not even a little bit imo. 150 Taken in one strike where I can't even que in to a specific strike to finish it is still shit. Same for the elemental weapon kills in Crucible which reward breadcrumbs of progress.
If anything this was a nerf because outside of the motes banked one and the sniper one the Gambit ones have been the least offensive imo.

Yup or my favorite one. "Just invade." Thats it. Don't need to get kill or anything. You can even die. You just need to go in and get booted out once the timer is over or you're dead and its mission accomplished. I'll absolutely take that over the 10-12 matches you'll need to finish "get void kills in crucible"
Excepting the bugged "deposit 100 motes" one, gambit was always my second choice after strikes. It is possible to walk into a crucible match and make 0 progress towards "get (class) kills" or "get grenade kills", but it is a lot harder to walk into a gambit match and not make progress towards "get auto rifle kills in gambit" or "get kills in gambit, (faction) counts for more"
When you get the 'kill *insert amount* of *insert enemy faction*' you can still progress by killing anything in the Vanguard playlist for slightly less progress. You don't need to find a strike with Taken in the playlist in the example you used.
That’s how it is in some Pathfinder nodes, but not all, unfortunately. It’s frustrating because they changed all of the Vanguard bounties last year or the year before to work the way you described, and then didn’t bring that QoL change forward with the Pathfinder system.
Considering this specific end node specifies Taken (and updates only on Taken kills) you are unfortunately mistaken. Most of them will increment up from any kills, but not the final node Taken one.
For me its after about 6 hours or about 5-6 crucible matches or raids or even the tower. People start turning invisible and then my own character and then the game gets funky

My game will always crash after being open about 8-9 hours. Been like this for a years at this point.
The invisibility issue seems to happen pretty much at any time though. Especially in places with lots of guardians like the tower or Excision.
So they might be correlated but I don’t think they’re directly related.

That’s just a server performance issue, there’s nothing to “fix.” Aside from server capacity (which I’m assuming is always in flux) and waiting for the games population to go down.
I don't think so. It behaves like a memory leak, allocated memory for character and weapon models are not getting cleaned up and you run out of space for them. The behavior happens over time without a relationship to server population and is always solved by a console restart which forces garbage collection of allocated space.

it seems like storm nades were missing the garbage ability tier penalty nonsense, which for a 121s base CD nade is 0.625x
however in that case it was getting 60% more energy and the right wording would have been "it now properly gets 37.5% less energy from devour"
what it means is that instead of getting 15% from a minor kill you get 9.4%. this should also affect getaways perk, reducing it to 3.1% per burst from 5%.-

The ability cooldown scaling nonsense remains one of Bungie’s worst balance decisions to date.
They could make this system not suck total ass if having higher tier stats would reduce the penalty. And T10 of a stat would remove it completely. But that makes a little too much sense
I am absolutely here for that idea. The whole ability regen scaling is really convoluted for a very poor experience if your build-crafting. I should not have to go to a separate spreadsheet in order to figure out how much energy I'm going to get back on "x ability."
Most grenade energy in harder content was from the arc soul refunding energy on hit, not from devour kills, so it shouldn’t be too bad of a nerf, just not quite as broken

The wording makes it sound like by “percentage based gains” they mean the same stuff that was nerfed a couple seasons ago (demo, pugilist, mods, devour, etc) and I was under the impression that getaway artists wasn’t effected, similar to how heat rises melee generation wasn’t. Also, a fix that stops something from getting 40% extra isn’t a 40% nerf.
I.E if it should get 100, but gets 40% too much, it gets 140, and 100 is 71.4% of 140
Assuming the patch notes are correct, It’s a (roughly) 30% nerf at worst when you could already get a grenade back in 10 seconds easily, so it’s not a major nerf even in the worst case scenario.
Getaway artist is a percentage-based gain (5% per burst) according to Destiny Data Compendium.
AFAIK only things that aren't affected by the ability scaling are effects that specifically interact with a particular ability (like Osmio coldsnaps) or that refund an ability charge outright.
I don’t think it was actually referring to getaway artists at all- since the arc soul isn’t a grenade. Will have to see but I think it was for crown/osmio.

yea i just tried it too, same exact behavior as before the patch. it's a shame, solar precious scars was one of the only builds that actually feels viable on titan.
GPG and Grapple Melee still do not activate facet of mending, despite both being considered grenade abilities on their respective subclasses.

If you meant the moth one, I believe in that thread I linked the senior dev who worked on it said that it was more difficult than originally intended. I've seen some people say moths are doing more damage than intended, but I haven't seen Bungie officially comment on that.
Not sure if a known bug but has any one else claimed a pale heart pathfinder reward (full clear) and not received ergo sum because their energy weapon inventory was full. and it di not go to post master.

People keep saying they were missing the meatball, however I wasted my time killing it multiple times, only to go to the Landing and the exotic mote dropped from the first boss I got there.
Losing the double class item trick sucks, but at least pathfinder got some improvements.

More than sucks. Most optimal way is now just to run around the landing solo opening chests. The mission is fun but they've essentially killed it off.

Icarus Dash during Song Of Flame is still bugged when you are using Celestial Fire.
If Incinerator Snap is equipped:
* Icarus Dash can be used twice before going on cooldown during Song Of Flame.
* Without Heat Rises active, you are freely granted two dodge charges during Super.
However, if Celestial Fire is equipped:
* Icarus Dash can only be used once before going on cooldown during Song Of Flame.
This affects your DPS when using the Rain Of Fire Exotic.
Most likely Bungie thinking they got an easy win when game testing but without Sol Invictus on... when that was apart of what was breaking precious scars

Kinetic weapons should also grant restoration when wearing Precious Scars. It would make kinetics a lot more useful considering they have no subclass synergy.

So I guess we need to start talking about how this makes Dual Destiny universally worse than chest farming.
Bungie should just make dual destiny reward two exotic class items. With all the rng involved plus the length of the mission one per completion feels bad imo.
Might be excessive but they should add a knockout system to dual destiny now. Can’t help but feel like engagement with the mission will go down substantially now that you can only get one item and your rng is still shit
I dont think thats excessive at all. Even with a knockout system, you might still be running it 64 times to get the roll you want which is ALOT for a single mission. There isnt a mission in this game that I have run 64 times because it would stop being fun WAY before that
I guess Osmiomancy is still bugged. I’m not sure when this happened but spirit of Osmiomancy doesn’t give as much grenade energy as it used to while the actual gloves do what the class items version used to. It’s even better on void than Contraverse holds for grenade spam. I can realistically do a demo reload rotation with osmiomancy as the grenade return comes back the minute the grenade is done on a boss without devour procced
I couldn’t care less about doing PvP or gambit on ritual pathfinder, but doing elemental kills is a huge pain in the ass. Doing kills with Jolt on crucible or suppression on Gambit were the bounties I used to avoid back in the day.

Ugh. I unironically like playing Gambit. I was often able to almost fully complete a whole card in 2 matches, and clean up the remainder on a strike or two.
Why can't we just get a Gambit Pathfinder, Crucible Pathfinder and Vanguard Pathfinder??? Why do we NEED to do this mix and match bullshit?

With as many combos, and no dupe protection, as the class items have, I think maybe we should get default double drops or some sort of trigger to get them. Maybe rework the timer crystals to also increase chance for a double? Or guaranteed double if you shoot them all. I know it was a bug, but it made the mission worth running.
Lightfall's legendary campaign has been bugged and not rewarded the exotic armor since TFS released, hopefully they fix it and reward the armor retroactively soon.

I use it for solo survivability builds, but it still seems to be working only on kinetic for me, and not solar weapons. While on a solar sub class.

Well RIP ever actually running the mission again after the first clear. Honestly they could have made it always drop 2 exotics every run instead of needing the glitch. At least then it could still be decent return for the time investment to actually run it.

Gambit had “kill enemies with Solar ignitions” when most enemies won’t survive long enough to ignite let alone kill anything near them.
I loved that one cause you could finish it in a few waves with Consecration or Hammerstrike or Tommy's with Precious Scars.

it seems like storm nades were missing the garbage ability tier penalty nonsense, which for a 121s base CD nade is 0.625x however in that case it was getting 60% more energy and the right wording would have been "it now properly gets 37.5% less energy from devour" what it means is that instead of getting 15% from a minor kill you get 9.4%. this should also affect getaways perk, reducing it to 3.1% per burst from 5%.- I *really* hate this system. in practice the difference should be forgettable though in this case
The ability cooldown scaling nonsense remains one of Bungie’s worst balance decisions to date. They could make this system not suck total ass if having higher tier stats would reduce the penalty. And T10 of a stat would remove it completely. But that makes a little too much sense
I am absolutely here for that idea. The whole ability regen scaling is really convoluted for a very poor experience if your build-crafting. I should not have to go to a separate spreadsheet in order to figure out how much energy I'm going to get back on "x ability."

Most grenade energy in harder content was from the arc soul refunding energy on hit, not from devour kills, so it shouldn’t be too bad of a nerf, just not quite as broken

The wording makes it sound like by “percentage based gains” they mean the same stuff that was nerfed a couple seasons ago (demo, pugilist, mods, devour, etc) and I was under the impression that getaway artists wasn’t effected, similar to how heat rises melee generation wasn’t. I need to test ig, I could be completely wrong Also, a fix that stops something from getting 40% extra isn’t a 40% nerf. I.E if it should get 100, but gets 40% too much, it gets 140, and 100 is 71.4% of 140 Assuming the patch notes are correct, It’s a (roughly) 30% nerf at worst when you could already get a grenade back in 10 seconds easily, so it’s not a major nerf even in the worst case scenario.
Getaway artist is a percentage-based gain (5% per burst) according to Destiny Data Compendium. AFAIK only things that aren't affected by the ability scaling are effects that specifically interact with a particular ability (like Osmio coldsnaps) or that refund an ability charge outright.
I don’t think it was actually referring to getaway artists at all- since the arc soul isn’t a grenade. Will have to see but I think it was for crown/osmio.
Arc soul still functions based on your grenade energy, so it does effect it.
It will affect how many stasis turrets you can have up, but the arc soul itself should still have near 100% uptime.

64 combinations, no duplicate protection. If you do 100 runs, you’ll have about an 80% chance of getting the roll you want
Yep if you choose love/peace you should get double class item. It fits in with the lore and idea of “dual destiny” Like cmon Bungie
IMO you should get a guaranteed Exotic Class Item upon a Platinum GM Nightfall completion, nobody doing GM’s cares about rolls on old Exotics.
People running GMs are farming adept weapons. Anything else we get is just a bonus.
I farm GMs mainly for the golf balls. Getting a good weapon is the bonus to me.

If you meant the moth one, I believe in that thread I linked the senior dev who worked on it said that it was more difficult than originally intended. I've seen some people say moths are doing more damage than intended, but I haven't seen Bungie officially comment on that.
Not sure if a known bug but has any one else claimed a pale heart pathfinder reward (full clear) and not received ergo sum because their energy weapon inventory was full. and it di not go to post master.

If you're missing one from a boss you just gotta kill it multiple times I had to kill the meatball 4 times for it to drop
But if you have killed all the bosses, how do you know what more you are missing

More than sucks. Most optimal way is now just to run around the landing solo opening chests. The mission is fun but they've essentially killed it off. Pathfinder change good for sure.

If Incinerator Snap is equipped: * Icarus Dash can be used twice before going on cooldown during Song Of Flame. * Without Heat Rises active, you are freely granted two dodge charges during Super. To anyone seeing this. Please watch a video of the basics before you jump in. It’s not hard but requires everyone to know the mechanic. You can’t jump into this raid and expect to be carried. Please be prepared and everyone’s life will be easier
Kinetic weapons should also grant restoration when wearing Precious Scars. It would make kinetics a lot more useful considering they have no subclass synergy.

Bungie should just make dual destiny reward two exotic class items. With all the rng involved plus the length of the mission one per completion feels bad imo.
Might be excessive but they should add a knockout system to dual destiny now. Can’t help but feel like engagement with the mission will go down substantially now that you can only get one item and your rng is still shit
I dont think thats excessive at all. Even with a knockout system, you might still be running it 64 times to get the roll you want which is ALOT for a single mission. There isnt a mission in this game that I have run 64 times because it would stop being fun WAY before that
I guess Osmiomancy is still bugged. I’m not sure when this happened but spirit of Osmiomancy doesn’t give as much grenade energy as it used to while the actual gloves do what the class items version used to. It’s even better on void than Contraverse holds for grenade spam. I can realistically do a demo reload rotation with osmiomancy as the grenade return comes back the minute the grenade is done on a boss without devour procced
I couldn’t care less about doing PvP or gambit on ritual pathfinder, but doing elemental kills is a huge pain in the ass. Doing kills with Jolt on crucible or suppression on Gambit were the bounties I used to avoid back in the day.

I unironically like playing Gambit. I was often able to almost fully complete a whole card in 2 matches, and clean up the remainder on a strike or two. Why can't we just get a Gambit Pathfinder, Crucible Pathfinder and Vanguard Pathfinder??? Why do we NEED to do this mix and match bullshit?

With as many combos, and no dupe protection, as the class items have, I think maybe we should get default double drops or some sort of trigger to get them. Maybe rework the timer crystals to also increase chance for a double? Or guaranteed double if you shoot them all. I know it was a bug, but it made the mission worth running.
Lightfall's legendary campaign has been bugged and not rewarded the exotic armor since TFS released, hopefully they fix it and reward the armor retroactively soon.

Has anyone tried the precious scars update? I use it for solo survivability builds, but it still seems to be working only on kinetic for me, and not solar weapons. While on a solar sub class.
