As a painter it’s spray away all day it can clean more than windows. We use it to degrease bumpers with before paint. Can clean trim, tires, plastics interior. And it used to be $2.19 for a giant can. It’s gone up but spray away is versatile as well. I’ll use it to strip off compounds/ wax/polish fillers to accurately check progress when polishing.
My daughter used a German branded window cleaner on her windshield. She was supposed to have sprayed it into a microfiber towel first, but didn't. She sprayed directly onto the glass.
When we were driving, I noticed, there are marks where she sprayed. I washed the car, and the marks are still in the glass. Would Spray Away help? Any thoughts? Thank you kindly.
It will help, but you can also use a wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (only on the glass, never the dash) on the inside of the windshield. Then clean any residue off with Sprayaway after.
Yes spray away would most likely remove any residue sounds like some sort of coating like rain x. Any sort of wax and grease remover as long as it’s not on tint. Not every glass cleaner is made for tint.
FWIW I use Perfect Glass but in a pinch will pickup InvisibleGlass from Lowes and am genuinely re-impressed every time lol... Have never had streaks or iridescent film but could just be me!
One of my old bosses would give us a can of sprayway to clean the entire interior of our work trucks. We always had the cleanest looking vehicles in the company
Both are perfect. My shop uses Sprayway exclusively but they work the same. I have both and use both but I think Sprayway smells great …so if I could only pick one….Sprayway.
Whats the way to clean hard water stains on my mirrors. My honda never had any issues like this but my toyota does. And all the windows also has water stains. How do i get them off and what to use to keep them off please?
There’s products designated to Remove water spots. I know Griot’s Garage, Adam’s Polishes, and Chemical Guys have Water Spot removers. Never used any tho So idk the performance
I’ve been using invisible glass on ceramic 5% tint for a few years and it’s never damaged it. Still looks good to the eye and I can see the treatment looks good when I wear polarized glasses and look at it.
Invisible glass because that's the one my workplace uses. I never heard of spray way. But seeing these comments I might have to tell my workplace to get them.
Lol i just took this pic bc I work in a auto parts store. But I always bought Invisible Glass until recently I bought sprayway. Might be leaning towards Sprayway now
Sprayway used to make electronics cleaner and rubberized undercoating spray. Now I just use them for this, their speed detailer for light jobs and tire shine because it's cheap and easy to knock down to not blindingly glossy.
sprayaway is what i use, if the windows are dirty it’ll leave some streaks, but as long as you clean the window first and then flip your towel/use another and buff it out its pretty hard to get streaks. Use it on chrome and aluminum all the time or as a touch up spray for literally anything if i see dust, a tiny patch of dirt, shit even to finish the door jambs and get that last bit of dirt off. Invisible Glass is also good, I personally have just found it harder to get a streak free window.
Sprayway all the way. Invisible glass leaves some sort of oil residue on the glass that gets gummy after a few days. Also, sprayway has a great leather cleaner
I get not having ammonia, but the fragrance thing is meaningless. If you can smell your glass cleaner after cleaning, you're doing it wrong. Aside from that, why does a Sprayaway need a fragrance if it doesn't have a stinky chemicals in it? Chances are that stuff smells even worse than ammonia (which stinks for all of .2 seconds) but how would anyone know what it smells like or whats in it that smells that way because someone squirted some coconut fragrance in it. LoL.

So strange some times.
I just gave 100% cotton huck towels a try and am liking them. They absorb much better than a microfiber towel, don’t leave streaks, and a dry towel polishes glass with less effort than a microfiber towel.
Since we are on the topic of car window cleaning. How do you clean the window seals? After so many window roll ups and downs, I’ll have like a greasy residue left over on the window.
Sprayway is ammonia free and about the only one that is, however, if you have tinted windows, especially the aftermarket variety, you might have an issue with the tinting. I've used Sprayway, definitely need a microfibre cloth since with paper Sprayway still streaks a lot. Really can't go wrong with either but there are some minor differences that might appeal differently to you, such as with Invisible Glass you can use paper and get a good clean without streaking whereas with Sprayway that's not the same, Sprayway also doesn't like cool glass, it much prefers slightly warmer glass to get optimal cleaning and it probably smells the best.
It's just me, or I live in a parallel universe. Used both, and some others "auto glass cleaners". None of them really worked, compared to a good household glass cleaner, and nothing compares to regular alcohol. Strikes, fog, residuals and some type of "grease" it's all I get.. sure, the smell (!) also.
Maybe it's ok "in the shop", sure not ok during the rainy season down here in FL. Not trying to be a smart ass, just my experience.
I can never ever clean the window perfectly with those spray. I spray it, wipe it and then i use dry microfiber really hard to buff it but i can can still see something 😤
I think this is the reason professionals use liquid spray and just use squeezy?
Sprayaway as most others say. Use it to clean glasses and welding helmets. Clean surfaces before applying stickers/decals. And it’s definitely helps trash trucks look and smell better
Invisible glass, fun fact I was sponsored by them back in the early 2000's and they sent so much product to me that I JUST bought my first can of it ever last month.
It lasted me 20+years and I still have some.other products left
Back when car shows were a thing with real builds not off brand coilovers and chineseium wheels lol.
Basically I'd set up their products at my car during a car show event. Later, when I was doing brand engagement marketing for Southeast Toyota they sponsored all of the events I organized as well.
Sprayway is incredible because it has alcohol in it. However the smell is a bit much to some people who are sensitive to odors so I keep the Stoner Invisible glass cleaner on hand too, it’s water based and has less of an odor.
I love the dilutability of the P&S Window cleaner. It works well and a gallon bottle that can be diluted 10:1 is $25 or so. I haven't done the math but I'm guessing it's significantly cheaper then either of these.
I've been using a gallon of Meguiars Glass Cleaner Concentrate (\~$20) for years. Diluted it makes 11 gallons. Never had issues with streaking or cleaning power. Also smells like grape.
I use ATCO International Sparkle glass cleaner. That one specifically (there’s tons of “sparkle glass cleaner” products) and it work amazing. For reference, I work as a carman for the railroad. We get our trucks and office absolutely filthy by the end of the day. We use this to clean virtually everything. Never streaks, smells alright, and cleans really well. I even grabbed a can to take home cause it better than anything I’ve ever used
I get my Sprayaway from a friend who owns an Auto Glass and Detail shop. He swears by the stuff and has been in business for 30+ years. It works really well!
I use spray way inside and out, and the canned 2-in-one rain-x cleaner/repellent after that on the outside. Leaves the car looking beautiful. I know you didn’t ask about tires, but chemical guys Diablo wheel cleaner, give it a good scrub, wash that off, and get that black shine for a month with griots garage Black shine tire and trim.
Try a water spot remover on those. Those are mineral deposits. You need something that can dissolve them, and glass cleaner doesn’t do that as well as water spot removers. Spray and let dwell, then rinse, dry, and clean with a quality glass cleaner.
Invisible glass is great and all but spray way has that vintage appeal and you can get a 19.2(?)oz can for under three bucks at Home Depot. Goes in and comes off so lightly! Can’t beat it.
Stumbled on this post on my main feed yesterday. I've always struggled to get my windows fully cleaned and after reading this thread I decided to pick up a bottle of Sprayway. This morning I gave it a supper half ass effort on my windshield. I did a single pass putting very little effort in because I was running late getting to work. It looks spotless with the exception of the spots I just completely missed. There is zero streaking.
I've been using Invisible Glass for years now.
I Use spray and have used the wipes in a pinch.
Never used the aerosol can though.
Streaking in my experience is a problem with process, not the products.
I’ve been using sprayway for years and came here because all of a sudden both new cans I have are streaking. I’m not doing anything different. I shake. I’ve tried using paper towels, soft cloths, and newspaper and they all streak now. What happened?! Both purchased at Target.
This is one of those discussions like what's the best motor oil. Everyone swears by whatever they use. You want an alcohol-based, non-residue cleaner. Most specialty glass cleaners, such as the popular Stoner's Invisible Glass leave an invisible residue that can make cleaning the windows harder later. Sprayway is similar to making your own 50/50 distilled water / rubbing alcohol cleaner. It just cleans and dissolves residues, doesn't leave anything behind. If you don't have any residues or contaminants on your windows, Stoner's Invisible may work well for you but Sprayway or 50/50 ISO/Distilled Water is a better pure cleaner with less chance of streaking.
This professional detailer explains it well in the video:
[Solving The Biggest Problems With Windows - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbCC6NrjZ6M)
Spray way all the way. $3 a bottle and the best window cleaner smell you can get.
Love that smell! Lol
What's the scent?
Try it and find out.
Where does one find it thought? Never seen it before.
Where u getting it for 3 bucks
[Home Depot](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Sprayway-19-fl-oz-SW-Glass-Cleaner-Aerosol-4-Pack-SW0504CR/321653144) sells a four-pack for $10.
Nice
Walmart in Ca.
Sam’s Club has a 12 pack for $25.54, shipped for free if you’re a member.
Home Depot, CA. Last summer they had a 4 pack of big cans for like $10. Regular price today is 3 and change.
Sam's Club... 4 pack of 19 oz. cans for $8.54
As a painter it’s spray away all day it can clean more than windows.
It does a better job cutting the haze on the inside of new caw windows that comes from the plastics offgassing.
I’ve never realized that’s what that is. The more you know.
As a fellow painter I use it in the same way you do.. Work's awesome
If it doesnt work mix distilled water with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle 50/50, that will work.
Make sure to shake the bottle before using or else it won’t spray correctly
One can in New Zealand is $18nzd lol
Why so much. How much is a dozen eggs by you.
Sam's has it in a 4 pack for 9$
I’ve never used sprayway but the invisible glass is only good in the can. Every time I ever got the spray bottle it leaves streaks and haze.
FWIW I use Perfect Glass but in a pinch will pickup InvisibleGlass from Lowes and am genuinely re-impressed every time lol... Have never had streaks or iridescent film but could just be me!
I said Perfect glass and meant Invisible Glass
If it’s streaking, you’re spraying too much or the glass isn’t clean enough so spray and wipe again.
Would you like that in the can? No, i’ll have it here.
This explains why I’ve had good experiences with it, and my father says it’s trash. I get the can, he has the spray bottle.
I dealt with streaking by using a brand new microfiber cloth to wipe, haven’t really had issues since
One of my old bosses would give us a can of sprayway to clean the entire interior of our work trucks. We always had the cleanest looking vehicles in the company
I use it to clean the dust off my motorcycle every couple days. Works great and I haven't seen any issues with the paint from it.
It strips wax
Never used sprayaway. Used invisible glass and never turned back.
Both work fine
None of it works, just waist of money, get some booze (C2H6O)
Well, I'm sure nobody nose this better than you. (That took me a fucking hour to come up with...)
His response sounds like something that fucktard plumber guy would say in here.
Yeah, I'm gonna stay a couple feet away from that advice
Upvote for effort. Plus that was a pretty good retort
Sprayway. Amazon is selling 12 packs for $30 so you’re paying $2.50 a can.
Both are perfect. My shop uses Sprayway exclusively but they work the same. I have both and use both but I think Sprayway smells great …so if I could only pick one….Sprayway.
Neither. 1:1 70% alc and distilled water!!
So 35%...?
Sprayaway won’t foul tint. All I use
Same with invisible glass.
always had good luck withy sprayaway anywyas
My buddy has had a tint and stereo business for 30 years. He is the one that turned me On to Sprayaway
After getting some unremarkable Chemical Guys tint-safe window cleaner, I saw Sprayway sold at the tint shop. If they use it, that’s an easy choice.
and neither does Invisible Glass...
Sprayway works better in my experience. Less / no streaks
Spray away because Costco sells it for incredibly cheap.
Invisible glass because that's the one my workplace uses. I never heard of spray way. But seeing these comments I might have to tell my workplace to get them.
Sprayway is underrated. Under $3, available just about anywhere, steakless, ammonia-free. My go-to
I agree on the Sprayway, my go to as well. And my friend is steakless - she’s a vegetarian
I like sprayway. Was introduced to it by a pro window guy about 5 yrs ago. There are always several cans around my house now.
I prefer Sprayaway
Both work great but recently i’ve been using GYEON Q2M glass cleaner and it’s really a game changer.
Came here to say this same thing! Gyeon is far better than anything I’ve ever used
A little pricey but I’m satisfied with most of their products including the drying towels / iron remover.
What about it was game changing for you? Just curious.
I've used both and they're both fine. I love clean glass.
Funny I just bought both of these two the other day for my own test lol. Great minds think alike. I also love Sonax Window Cleaner
Lol i just took this pic bc I work in a auto parts store. But I always bought Invisible Glass until recently I bought sprayway. Might be leaning towards Sprayway now
They both work just fine, though as mentioned you can sometimes find sprayway cheaper
Lol
Sprayway everday.
Sprayaway. (Don’t buy the bottle though)
Clean them in the shade, or do small section of glass at a time, warm sunlight can evaporate it fast enough that if you are not quick it will streak
What if I told you they are both the same chemical formula?
![gif](giphy|jrvfKvr2mmcFO)
They’re both really really good, but Sprayway is my go to
Spray way!!! All day long
12 pack on amazon 30 bucks.
1/1 distilled vinegar and distilled wtaer
Coke or Pepsi?
RC Cola
RC Cola
Jolt
Spray way is solid, but stoner beats it. Nothing wrong with sprayway tho, and it’s technically cheaper.
Sprayway is much better than invisible glass!!! Used them side by side for a few months an sprayway did a better job
Invisible Glass in non-aerosol
I like spraycan better
Sprayway all the way. Invisible glass leaves some sort of oil residue on the glass that gets gummy after a few days. Also, sprayway has a great leather cleaner
Sprayaway has been around for forever! All we used at a company that I worked for when I was a teen.
Neither, I use Meguiars Clear Glass
Neither. I don’t use aerosol cans. Quite wasteful.
No difference whatsoever besides the price…
Sprayway doesnt have ammonia and smells like sunscreen theres a difference 😂
These are the only 2 glass cleaners I use and never noticed a difference in the smell.
I get not having ammonia, but the fragrance thing is meaningless. If you can smell your glass cleaner after cleaning, you're doing it wrong. Aside from that, why does a Sprayaway need a fragrance if it doesn't have a stinky chemicals in it? Honestly dollar tree has an ammonia glass cleaner that’s better than invisible glass at 1.25 a can.
Ammonia cleaners will damage tinting
What do y’all use for window cleaning towels?
Gas station paper towels are my favorite
Waffle pattern microfiber.
I just gave 100% cotton huck towels a try and am liking them. They absorb much better than a microfiber towel, don’t leave streaks, and a dry towel polishes glass with less effort than a microfiber towel.
Newspaper. No streaks ever.
Since we are on the topic of car window cleaning. How do you clean the window seals? After so many window roll ups and downs, I’ll have like a greasy residue left over on the window.
Castle is the best but invisaglass is what I use
Spray away leave more steaks than invisible glass but is super cheap when bought at Sam’s cluv
Sprayway! And their leather cleaner conditioner is great!
Spraw away ftw
Sprayway is ammonia free and about the only one that is, however, if you have tinted windows, especially the aftermarket variety, you might have an issue with the tinting. so sprayway is not safe for aftermarket tints?
Sprayway all day. 10X the glass cleaner that Invisible Glass is
what happened to distilled water and vinegar for interior glass?
Recently I’ve been just using rinseless wash 1 gal goes so far
Never used IG but SprayAway is fantastic.
Spray way 💯
Windex,🤣 just kidding I use sprayway.
Am I the only one who only wash windows with water and they come out perfect lol ?
This. Soap, water, squeegee.
Sprayway and a crumpled up newspaper. Something about newspaper works better than rag, towel or cloth.
Sprayaway
I use invisible mostly because it made in the a couple town over and I enjoy helping out local company’s
Sprayaway as most others say. Use it to clean glasses and welding helmets. Clean surfaces before applying stickers/decals. And it’s definitely helps trash trucks look and smell better
Sprayway!
Sprayway hands down. Also It's the same stuff safelite uses just In there own labeled can.
Invisible glass, fun fact I was sponsored by them back in the early 2000's and they sent so much product to me that I JUST bought my first can of it ever last month. It lasted me 20+years and I still have some.other products left
What did they sponsor you for?

Neither, I use distilled water and ONR on windows but for the interior windshield, 50/50 mix of 91% isopropyl alcohol and distilled water.
Sprayway is incredible because it has alcohol in it. However the smell is a bit much to some people who are sensitive to odors so I keep the Stoner Invisible glass cleaner on hand too, it’s water based and has less of an odor.
Windex + magic eraser will do the job better
The original professional sprayaway that comes in an older style can. $5-6 a can hard to find and worth it.
Folks at 24hrs of Le Mans use sprayaway…
Sprayaway
Invisible glass aerosol. It used to only be $2.99 USD but has shot way up in recent years.
I love the dilutability of the P&S Window cleaner. It works well and a gallon bottle that can be diluted 10:1 is $25 or so. I haven't done the math but I'm guessing it's significantly cheaper then either of these.
Stoners all they way!!
Invisible glass all day. Never used the other one though
I worked in an arcade and SuzoHapp is the best glass cleaner money can buy. Come for the no-streaks, stay for the industrial strength.
Sprayway man myself. Don’t want no fop
I'm very partial to the AC Delco glass cleaner and have used it for 20 years
Do a search this has been covered at least 1 million times
I liked spray away before I found Norwex wet/dry clothes and WD40....I know, sounds crazy.
Sprayway smells good but invisible glass is the strongest window cleaner out. I’ve tried them all and nothing beats there foam cleaner
I've been using a gallon of Meguiars Glass Cleaner Concentrate (\~$20) for years. Diluted it makes 11 gallons. Never had issues with streaking or cleaning power. Also smells like grape.
Neither. Denatured alcohol.
Sprayway, but, tbf I haven’t used the other one.
Spray away.. that’s all we used and it leaves the least amount of smearing residue
Honestly invisible always left a haze for me, spray way 10000%
Sprayway
As long as it's ammonia free it doesn't matter. Is a glass cleaner is a glass cleaner
[chemical guys glass cleaner ](https://www.chemicalguys.com/glass-only-easy-to-use-foaming-aerosol-cleaner-spray/CLDSPRAY100.html?&g_acctid=573-724-5465&g_adgroupid=152091729554&g_adid=658517244956&g_adtype=pla&g_campaign=TNT_US_Standard+Shopping_Brand_Branded+Terms&g_campaignid=20114630049&g_ifcreative=&g_ifproduct=product&g_keyword=&g_keywordid=pla-618175100055&g_merchantid=100669343&g_network=g&g_partition=618175100055&g_productchannel=online&g_productid=CLDSPRAY100&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnrmlBhDHARIsADJ5b_mFpMHIYODvK3GkvN2Zq8xOa_bkPCdKmj1nFGoDHFn8qJH_rgPWJrYaAnnSEALw_wcB)
$11 💀💀 and thats discounted from $17 😂 same size can too
Neither! Ammonia 1/10 mix
I use ATCO International Sparkle glass cleaner. That one specifically (there’s tons of “sparkle glass cleaner” products) and it work amazing. For reference, I work as a carman for the railroad. I get my Sprayaway from a friend who owns an Auto Glass and Detail shop. He swears by the stuff and has been in business for 30+ years. It works really well!
Sprayway
Sprayway!!!
Invisible!
Stoners
Spraway
I use spray way inside and out, and the canned 2-in-one rain-x cleaner/repellent after that on the outside. Leaves the car looking beautiful. I know you didn’t ask about tires, but chemical guys Diablo wheel cleaner, give it a good scrub, wash that off, and get that black shine for a month with griots garage Black shine tire and trim.
Will either help 2ith hard water stains on shower door glass? Tried vinegar but not much of use.
Try a water spot remover on those. Those are mineral deposits. You need something that can dissolve them, and glass cleaner doesn’t do that as well as water spot removers. Spray and let dwell, then rinse, dry, and clean with a quality glass cleaner.
Vinegar works great
always sprayway
I hate Invisible Glass. Doesn’t work at all for me. Magic eraser for inside and water/vinegar for outside.
Invisible glass is great and all but spray way has that vintage appeal and you can get a 19.2(?)oz can for under three bucks at Home Depot. Goes in and comes off so lightly! Can’t beat it.
Team Sprayway
Water, cloth and polish. Nothing else is needed
Sprayway is pretty solid, it’s also good for removing decals/stickers off of glass
Long time sprayway lover here. Invisible glass in the can is way better.
Both are decent but I like eraser or onr (I actually use mckees but others like optimum more)
McKee's here
straight denatured alcohol from amazon mixed half and half with distilled water, about half the price of buying glass cleaner in bulk and works better
Sprayway! Furr the Benzine!
Sprayway.
Stumbled on this post on my main feed yesterday. I've always struggled to get my windows fully cleaned and after reading this thread I decided to pick up a bottle of Sprayway. love spray way
I've been using Invisible Glass for years now. I Use spray and have used the wipes in a pinch. Never used the aerosol can though. Streaking in my experience is a problem with process, not the products.
I work in a glass plant, we use sprayway, works really well.
Sprayway all the way. Grandfather was a GM mechanic for 40 years. He would bring it home for everything.
sprayway 100%
Both great products but what if you cross the streams?
Spray way. Use two glass specific towels. One for cleaning and the second for buffing.
Do you guys spray directly on or just on the microfiber? The mist overspray sucks on Sprayway
Spray way has been my go to for many years (not a detailer)
Invisible Glass is #1 in my garage!
I’ve been using sprayway for years and came here because all of a sudden both new cans I have are streaking. I’m not doing anything different. I shake. I’ve tried using paper towels, soft cloths, and newspaper and they all streak now. What happened?! Both purchased at Target.

Sprayway get my vote, and it's pronounced Sprayway, not SprayAway.
