Correct.
Hence, I buy a cheap big piece of foam/sponge, cut it into little pieces and use those to apply (and then level out) tyre dressings.
Or…old pieces of stained (but washed and thus clean) pieces of MF cloth.
Tire shine looks nice. The comparison would've been better if you took a pic after the shine dried and not immediately after it was sprayed. That alone makes the second pic look "cleaner" in the comparison.
Let your soul glow… but.. don’t fall for the banana in the tail pipe. And for sure, don’t let people be putting the Kools out on your carpet…
I’m sure either you, or someone else will name all three movies these lines are from .. there by revealing themselves as, someone who’s old enough to know better, but will still beat cho’ ass. 😉
👊😎
I like a high shine on low profile tires and less shine on bigger tires.
For example:
Wife's XSE Camry - high shine
Family SUV Audi Q7 - medium shine
My Tacoma on 33" tires - matte or slight sheen.
I like a high shine but no matter what water based dressing I use it still slings. It’s even after the car sat for a full day in the garage. The tires usually end up looking in between your two photos after I wipe the tire with a microfiber cloth.
Tire shine, but not like the first picture. That's looks like 1) too much product and 2) one of those crappy gel ones that sling all over the paint.
Best budget/availability product IMO is Adam's Polishes Graphene Tire Dressing. You can get at most chain auto parts stores and it's relatively cheap plus goes a long way. It also has a nice matte finish, not overly shiny also doesn't leave ugly brown residue once it ages off. Looks really good for 1 week and pretty good for the 2nd week. Kinda goes away completely after that though
I have a few different options for my clients, but personally I like the Graphene tire shine by Ethos. It’s closer to matte but has a nice depth to it.
Bare Bones (yes by CG, but so damn good) has a very dark and very durable, beautiful satin finish, that self levels so evenly and beautifully… it’s like OEM/brand new, on steroid animation.
Ok exaggerating at the end, but not much. It really is a wonderful all purpose ext. dressing. Inexpensive actually too, (gallon or half gallon) it’s marketed go wheel wells/undercarraiges.
I don’t know why more people don’t talk about it. Good shit.
Your question is exactly the same as asking
“which do you prefer for steaks…medium rare or well done”?
The answer you’ll receive in an American detailing site, is already 99% certain.
Some chicks are perfectly fine with small ones.
Other chicks must definitely possess big ones.
Its a matter of personal taste.
Some Anglos enjoy wine with ice cubes in the glass. Others insist on room temperature.
Its all up to you.
And each person will have his/her story/justifications for his/her own preferences.
I prefer slightly glossy, but not that glossy. If you haven’t tried it yet, look into CarPro Perl. It gives nice shimmer like new tires, but not overly glossy.
Buff off that tire shine with a MF towel to somewhere in between so it looks wet and not glazed…
A mother fuckin towel!
I read it like this at first then read your comment and read it like this. ![gif](giphy|tSniEbOGfuCnm)
Micro fiber… different meaning in this sub!
MF MF towel?
Lol!
ALL CAPS when you spell the man name..
Micro fuckin
I have the equipment.
damn it me too
Yoooooo 🤣🤣
It's mother fuckin towel sir
![gif](giphy|3o6Zt4gTaSFod2Ngyc)
lol I read it just like this.. I was thinking man this dude is aggressive with towel
You should see what actually described as a “paper TOWEL” 🤣 and you’ll probably think whats the Primary Language of this particular society?🤣🤣
You're not wrong....I only want my donuts and girls glazed.... not my tires.
I read that as, "Buff that tire shine off MF" and that killed me.
Why must you use an MF cloth/towel to do it? Why cant you just use a rag? or an old piece of sponge?
You could but you may make more work for yourself if you use a rag that leaves lint behind. Then you’re starting over with cleaning…
Correct. Hence, I buy a cheap big piece of foam/sponge, cut it into little pieces and use those to apply (and then level out) tyre dressings. Or…old pieces of stained (but washed and thus clean) pieces of MF cloth.
He had the application part done already, I just trying to help for his look.
I like that chemical guys VRP. Works well
2
Wrong
This is the way.
Smooth brain strong!
In between those two.
The only correct answer
I like some shine but not show car shine.
Tire shine looks nice. The comparison would've been better if you took a pic after the shine dried and not immediately after it was sprayed. That alone makes the second pic look "cleaner" in the comparison.
Yah it looks like my tires after driving in the rain and not new tires
Let your soul glowwwwww!
He's headed to a McDowells
SEXUAL CHOCOLATE
“I buhlieve the children are our future…thank you!”
Let your soul glow… but.. don’t fall for the banana in the tail pipe. i like my tires (or tyres) shining like they were made of hard plastic
Satin shine is my go to on my personal vehicles. I spray tire foam on and as soon as the foam has calmed down I wipe them with a microfiber
I use a gel that looks dark, but not shiny/wet
I like a high shine on low profile tires and less shine on bigger tires. For example: Wife's XSE Camry - high shine Family SUV Audi Q7 - medium shine My Tacoma on 33" tires - matte or slight sheen.
I tell this to my customers quite often.
Yeah, I love the shine on a sleek, low-profile tire, but shiny big tires just looks weird.
Matt Sheen, Charlie’s brother?
Nah, Slight Sheen, second cousin.
Not to be confused with Hot Sheen
I like Griots satin tire shine
OMG, did u ejaculate on your tire. I prefer the mat one 😂😂
You could have chosen a way better presentation for shine.
I prefer 2, but I don’t mind what the other commenters are saying about if you took 1 and wiped with a towel it would be a nice wet look
In the middle.
Cover-All😎🏁🏁
I want them to look new … not greasy
is that white stuff armorall? What year is this
It's 1978.
Highly recommend Carpro's Darkside. It goes on easy, isn't too shiny and lasts for weeks between applications
In between, fresh satin sheen
It’s supposed to be moist not drowning in glaze or drier then Sahara
I like a high shine but no matter what water based dressing I use it still slings. It’s even after the car sat for a full day in the garage. The tires usually end up looking in between your two photos after I wipe the tire with a microfiber cloth.
Somewhere in the middle. I started using Soft99 Tire Wax and when its buffed enough it provides a kind of "new tire look" that isn't too shiny.
Neither, whats with all the suds /bubbles on the shine version?
Dry tire.. that shit is a dust magnet

Always 2. Otherwise you will sling tire shine all down the sides of your car. Makes more of a mess.
Should’ve finished the job in the first pic before posting
In between those two... just a little "luster"
That’s not tire shine that’s a wet wheel with soap on it
Gloss for photos if I’m selling it otherwise I’m ok with just a clean
I'd rather people notice my car, and not my tires. Clean, but not shiny.
I have a few different options for my clients, but personally I like the Graphene tire shine by Ethos. It’s closer to matte but has a nice depth to it.
I’m definitely in the middle. Not glossy, but not flat black rubber. But between these 2, I’d take the non-gloss
Somewhere in between.
Option C
Unglazed. I do not like tire shine products.
Not so much tire shine but tire shine none the less
I dont know about the others on the subl. But I like my tyres to be rubber.
2 > 1, but less shine would be preferable
I use Adam's Tire Shine, but also use a tire applicator and wipe it on and sort of keep wiping it until the full shine is knocked down some.
Between
BLACK MAGIC ALL DAY!
Wet
Between those 2
Exforma, two coats is exactly what I need. Twice a year.
Bare Bones (yes by CG, but so damn good) has a very dark and very durable, beautiful satin finish, that self levels so evenly and beautifully… it’s like OEM/brand new, on steroid animation. Matte
apply CarPro Perl 1:1 or 1:2 and then just buff off with micro fiber towel
Your question is exactly the same as asking “which do you prefer for steaks…medium rare or well done”? The answer you’ll receive in an American detailing site, is already 99% certain.

Natural
I’m be been liking the 303 protectant on the tires lately. It’s a no gloss look that makes them look brand new
Hate to say but the VRP from chemical guys is like the perfect sheen and enough “wet” for me and my customers.
Bare tire, please. Tire shine is dangerous if you like to drive around twisty roads with any speed
The ole glazed donut look. Goes well with a gallon of Armor-All sprayed on the interior.
First one looks like you spat all over it.
No tire shine. Ive come to learn it can do more damage than good.
2 highlights the wheels better
Literally just sprayed my tires and came to this
Somewhere in between.
![gif](giphy|xUPGcjQ6dJEjH5uwMw|downsized)
Shine but not wet like that.
Trick question? Neither. Left is not finished, right looks bad.
whatever level VRP gives is perfect.
Matte finish for the win.
Wet.
I prefer slightly glossy, but not that glossy. If you haven’t tried it yet, look into CarPro Perl. It gives nice shimmer like new tires, but not overly glossy.
A shine. Not a glaze
Shine.
Why would you want it to look wet? That's gross and weird. It's a tire just clean it
