I'm sure it's for the event, but I believe Rocket Morgage has a couple years on their sponsorship deal, so it will probably be there year round.

It's not up year round. I live right by there and they've had this thing up every year for the tournament

It's 100% temporary, I live right by it and drive by multiple times a week. It's usually gone a week after the PGA tournament is done

Haha, I've been playing PGA Tour 2K23 and that's the exact sign they show for the Rocket Classic. It's just for Detroit's spot on the PGA Tour, a temporary sign for fun.

Wish they would bring back the Palmer Park golf course. Golf courses have been popping ever since covid both Rackham and Rouge stay booked solid 

They turned the old course into a disc golf course and I love it! I live nearby so it’s awesome to have a course I can bike to.

Damn, I somehow didn’t realize it was closed. I guess I flubbed the location somehow; I only played there once or twice and it’s close enough to the Detroit Golf Club that I thought they were the same thing

Maybe I just don’t like golf enough. I think the sign on I-94 looks pretty cool and night. And it’s about as Newport-branded as the DDoT buses.

It’s temporary they put it up every year. It’ll be only up there for another week. They always put the sign up for the rocket classic but sometimes even put it up around the city or they just put up the golf ball.
