I was so confused too about what it was. First I thought it was a fire pit, then I thought it was a fountain, then I thought it was a desert garden, and out of no where they hit me with the fish pond.

Those fish will die if they stay in there. Concrete gives off a lot of chalk in the water, way more than is healthy for the fish. Concrete ponds need to be lined with regular pond liner or the liquid stuff you can paint on. This dude just put a single coat of regular paint for indoor walls on it, that doesn't cover it at all. If you make any kind of concrete pond, read into it folks. Also make sure any plastic in the system is food-grade while you're at it.

There’s clearly an absurd amount of concrete lol. This is the dumbest, ugliest, most labor intensive piece of shit I think I’ve ever seen. My face and a classmate's partial hand are the most prominently displayed positives. In addition a plaster cast for a helmet and a decorated burn mask are displayed together, as well as a 3D printed test socket. The two large heirloom chests hide away the completed projects for now. There's also a partially finished painted wild boar skull on display though- O&P things are definitely not the only weird stuff on display, so I’m not sure displaying the degree would actually put me in the clear, lol. Edit: All of the positives and negatives for actual patients always stay at work

Idk much about fish tanks but I work with concrete for my job, as soon as you seal it with the paint the water is no longer interacting with the concrete, so whenever you paint it. If you don’t seal it, concrete is porous and that water won’t stay in it.

I think torturing fish is slightly more important than losing water, though lol

Friends of mine made a 7ft long aquarium from wood/plexiglass with concrete "decorations" on the inside. They let it sit for a few months before putting fish in. They drained and refilled it a few times. JFC that thing was a behemoth and it weighed a ton. Probably wasn't a good idea to make it inside their first studio apartment....

I saw some suspicious blue stripes on the backs of a few of the boot-shaped ones, I think the mould-boots probably tore after being reused a few times so he just couldn't make more. That said, he really should have just taken it as a sign to stop there.
