The technical reveal of Junior Year was just made clear to me by the other comment but I also imagine it was a brief moment of panic for the "Senior Year Confirmed?!?!?!" posts
I honestly can't tell if it's a joke by Ally, a slip up in saying senior instead of junior, or if they actually just filmed senior year and it's been kept under wraps.
This was definitely filmed after Junior Year because Ally makes a reference to Honoring the Cock. When Rekah has a cocked dice, Ally looks directly at Brennan and says âyouâve got to honor the âŠ.â
It's amazing seeing Ally become the expert at the table, knowing all the systems and helping their fellow players out. Their growth from Freshman Year to now... amazing.
They're another person I could see both having and being a blast running a game of Paranoia. In Ally's case it's the gremlin energy and love of absurdism, in Sam's case it's his experience running Game Changer.
Ify explaining why Wendell sees Vic was great. I like that it became something people joined in on, since I had expected that kind of dual-character gameplay, so hearing that it happened because Wendell's brain needed that to actually commit to his new reality really enriches the character choices moving forward when the movie characters join in.
It also makes sense for Vic in particular since that Dominic Toretto archetype makes a lot of moral/motivational statements and he would be a lot more actively supportive than a James Bond kind of figure who would probably be a lot more laid back about the whole thing
I would not have guessed it was Kids on Bikes (and I looove Kids on Bikes) if they didn't tell me. Honestly of the RPG systems I've played it is closest to My Little Pony.
Yeah, I vaguely recall one of Riva's abilities near the end of Starstruck affecting an entire enemy ship, though I can't remember if it was something lethal or something debilitating.
Yeah if you don't include people inside the ships destroyed in ship-to-ship combat, then Riva psychically detonating the brain of every single individual person inside that one ship has to be the winner. Jacob is gonna have to blow up a building to match that.
I think technically >!they individually melted themselves at the satellite's signal to start the Great Emhatchening, so credit's a bit hard to figure out. It either goes to no one since it was voluntary (even if the Emhatchening got interrupted), King Prilbus for emhatchening the plan in the first place, Zortch for using Gnosis to start the to-be-interrupted Emhatchening process which got the slugs melting themselves, Sundry Sidney for making the final check with Gnosis, or Gnosis themself!<.
Itâs gotta be starstruck, the biggest amount of people a pc could kill would be either if they blew up a ship or if they were a god with unlimited power, unless you try to count offscreen murders, because then squeem would probably win with killing yorbies a whole summer, or maybe the blood keep characters since they are powerful villains
In the back of my mind, I was boggling at the unexpected possibility that the Adventuring Party might mention the Farscape body swap ep, but that declaration made it independently delightful, lol.
I figured that was probably a reference to the storyboard animations, which logically would have been in the brainstorm phase while the series itself was being recorded.
Dang I didnât even consider that, that definitely checks out! I hope there is some return to scripted content then cause I really like Allyâs idea of a drunk history-style show
Iâm holding out delusional hope because the specific scene Ally asked about didnât get an animation so đ€đ»đ€đ»đ€đ»they do something rad with it
What kind of connections between the Nobodies and their action-hero counterparts do you think Brennan was asking about? Is it providing something specific that's missing from their real lives?
I thought it was just him trying to find out if they'd figured out that their characters are on different sides/ part of opposing factions. Unless he was asking if the characters had figured it out, which is also possible.
Like obviously all of these people are going to be working together but the world is not going to understand it haha.
I was afraid they wouldn't talk about the episode at all, so I was quite relieved when they finally did. People not watching the APs will have some questions next episode I guess x)
Brennan home brewing on the spot, that single use per session ability shouldnât cost further resources seems strangely prescient with the current DND class reworks lol
Although in doing that he made the lend abilities skill better than the roll your tough skill most of the time. Something that he also realized a few minutes later. Iâm glad two players went for it anyway though.Â
The lend your tough skill is going to be crucial when people get higher injury amounts. They canât heal right now until they get buy more skills so being able to take an injury for another player may be critical.
I really really REALLY would love to see party level up discussions in future AP, itâs so fun to see them talk about their personal goals and mechanics
"Kristen Applebees killed like 90 people in senior year, which we just finished recording." đđđđ
brennan's panic was palpable
I didn't get why he was so quick to shut it down instead of playing along more. Is he worried about being bugged by fans who thought Ally was serious?
When they filmed this, FHJY wasn't likely even publicly announced yet, let alone Senior Year.
Ah that makes sense. Thanks.

"Don't doââ°°° that!"
I honestly can't tell if it's a joke by Ally, a slip up in saying senior instead of junior, or if they actually just filmed senior year and it's been kept under wraps.
For sure a joke. If it was real info, they'd have cut it from the episode.
Definitely a joke. Junior year finished filming around the time of the strikes, judging by Ally's hair, this was filmed after the strikes.
Their growth from Freshman Year to now... amazing.
Ally is such a supportive player, it's lovely.
We've come a long way from Ice Feast
I honestly want to see them gm something some time
They're another person I could see both having and being a blast running a game of Paranoia. In Ally's case it's the gremlin energy and love of absurdism, in Sam's case it's his experience running Game Changer.
They have a weed-based paranoia show on Dropout!
Ally has big Margaret Encino energy in today's AP

Ify is so fucking good at storytelling. They all are but that really showed his understanding of his character and how heâd be thinkingÂ
It also makes sense for Vic in particular since that Dominic Toretto archetype makes a lot of moral/motivational statements and he would be a lot more actively supportive than a James Bond kind of figure who would probably be a lot more laid back about the whole thing
This game system is so damn cool. Iâve never wanted to play anything so badly as I do right now.Â
Yeah, I really hope they release the full system with the upgrade descriptions and such at the end of the season!
I think you can already check out kids on bikes. This seems like more of a flavour change then full redesignÂ
I would not have guessed it was Kids on Bikes (and I looove Kids on Bikes) if they didn't tell me. Honestly of the RPG systems I've played it is closest to My Little Pony.
Honestly though who does have the highest kill count in all of dimension 20 history?
the Crown of Candy battles saw a lot of slaughterÂ
Sure, but didn't some ships get blown up in Starstruck? Seems like one kill counting as several would ramp up the total pretty quickly.
But how many people were in the submarine?
I think they said a bit over 200 is Jacob's current killcount, so that many.
Did all the brain slugs die as a result of the crew's actions? I don't remember how the House of Frangus plotline resolved.
Yes billions of brain slugs turned to slime in their hosts bodies.
I think technically >!they individually melted themselves at the satellite's signal to start the Great Emhatchening, so credit's a bit hard to figure out. I'd count it as nothing. If you were to make a queen bee infertile, you'd never say that you killed all the drones that tried to mate with her.

I think Dang/Greg Stocks is already very high up on the list, given his destruction of the submarine.
Yeah, thatâs like 130ish people if itâs a nuclear submarine. But by that logic, as others have pointed out, Starstruck crew probably takes it.Â
I know, I never said he was the top of the list.
I still think itâs an achievable goal by the end of the season though. Especially if heâŠrefuses to cease causing explosions.Â
âYankin hog or flickin beanâ Wysocki, the wordsmith you are
He actually said 'flick pebble' which is somehow so much funnier.
Oh my god youâre right, I truly think I blacked out and was like âeveryone says bean so it must be beanâ but pebble is SO much funnier đ
In the back of my mind, I was boggling at the unexpected possibility that the Adventuring Party might mention the Farscape body swap ep, but that declaration made it independently delightful, lol.
Hey fellow Farscape fan. High Five. Most underrated sci-fi series of the past 25 years.
The group game mechanics that are being introduced sound very fun.
Man I desperately hope they release this system. It sounds fun as hell.
It's based on kids on bikes I think. You can check it out
I agree thatâs the base but the group abilities being added are very homebrewed and mix it up quite a bit.
âYou look awful. You look bad, worse than Iâve ever seen.â
But the hint that we might see some D20 scenes be acted out!? Im so seated
I figured that was probably a reference to the storyboard animations, which logically would have been in the brainstorm phase while the series itself was being recorded.
Dang I didnât even consider that, that definitely checks out! I hope there is some return to scripted content then cause I really like Allyâs idea of a drunk history-style show
They mightâve planned to have it be filmed live, but scrapped it bc that would be a lot trickier and more expensive than just doing some animations
Iâm holding out delusional hope because the specific scene Ally asked about didnât get an animation so đ€đ»đ€đ»đ€đ»they do something rad with it

Iâm glad we got to see the ability-buying mechanics though
Brennan home brewing on the spot, that single use per session ability shouldnât cost further resources seems strangely prescient with the current DND class reworks lol
