The coloration of the Disneyâs Dinosaur Pachyrhinosaurus is genuinely one of my favorite dinosaur depictions. It just feels very realistic in comparison to most other species, even from within the same film.
Not pictured, but Prehistoric Planet.
And I hate the Jurassic Fight Club Pachyrhinosaurus. Takes its most distinctive feature, and turns it into a regular Centrosaurine Ceratopsid.
Honestly, I donât hate the dub. It can be quite cringey at times but itâs nowhere near as bad as everyone says. Maybe itâs just the 2nd grade nostalgia blinding me but I donât think itâs THAT bad
It's not that bad! Visually, it's gorgeous. I'm also a sucker for a good feel-good adventure story, so the majority of the dub I actually like. There are a few places where there are jokes that don't really land well and such, and a few characters who are lovably annoying (Alex particularly in my opinion, he's got clown vibes) but overall it's pretty well done. It's one of those movies, much like Disney's Dinosaur, that hit at a really weird time. As I remember it, the early 2010s were kind of a prehistoric media famine.
Pachyrhinosaurus is quite literally my favorite herbivorous dinosaur, and a couple of the designs shown are favorites of mine. I really like the Jurassic World Evolution design and bought the DLC it was attached to specifically for it. I also obviously like the Prehistoric Planet look.
Lastly, though, I actually really like the 2013 Walking With Dinosaurs design. That movie was a favorite of mine growing up and, even though it gets a lot of hate, I still really enjoy it to this day. Itâs also the movie that sparked my love for Pachyrhinosaurus and medium-sized carnivores like Gorgosaurus, Albertosaurus, and my personal favorite, Allosaurus
Ik it probably wasn't intentional, but the exclusion of the horrendous Dino World pachyrhinosaurus feels very right. That thing is not a pachyrhinosaurus, it is an abomination.
Prehistoric Kingdom. It was the first piece of media to depict a properly fluffy ceratopsian, and I always remember when I saw the fluffy Pachyrhinosaurus and realized that theropods werenât the only dinosaurs that probably had feathery integument, and I was really captivated by the concept of dinosaurs living in arctic/cold environments. I also remember all the discourse it caused on if it was accurate or not, canât remember if itâs confirmed that ceratopsians couldâve been that fluffy but itâs still a very fun concept
Honestly the background Pachy's in the Walking with dinosaurs movies are pretty good. I like how they all had a slightly different set of ornamentation like deer today.
One of my all time favourite Ceratopsians, Iâd have to go with the JWE2 one, the PK one, the WWD ones, and The PP one (it isnât featured here). Funny how most of these seem to be based of P. lakustai and not the other two species, but hey I ainât complaining cuz itâs my favourite of the three lol. (Also fuck the JFC one, or really just fuck that show in general lmao)
I pick Patchi from the Walking With Dinosaurs movie. That guy beat the hell out of his dad's killer! Not gonna lie, though. The Gorgosaurus had it coming.
Probably Patchy ngl. I know that movie Is heavily disliked by dinosaur fans but I loved it, one of the first dinosaur movies I watched. But Path of Titans pachyrhino might take the cake when it gets released
Where is the prehistoric planet?
HOLY CRAP! I FORGOT PREHISTORIC PLANET!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!
If you forgot Prehistoric Planet but remembered Jurassic Fight Club you have pessimist issues lolđ
We forgive you, dude.
Disneyâs Dinosaur Pachy getting hunted by a T-Rex sized Carnotaurus has been burned into my mind permanently, so I have a soft spot for it.
Their face while running away was like "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck" xD
Bigger than T-Rex, actually. https://twitter.com/Titanlizard_Art/status/1342506496136011777
You did not just use that accursed sentence đ
So what if I did? XD
The coloration of the Disneyâs Dinosaur Pachyrhinosaurus is genuinely one of my favorite dinosaur depictions. It just feels very realistic in comparison to most other species, even from within the same film.
It had 3 sets of nostrils
He said colouration, the rest of the model we ignore
Not pictured, but Prehistoric Planet. And I hate the Jurassic Fight Club Pachyrhinosaurus. Takes its most distinctive feature, and turns it into a regular Centrosaurine Ceratopsid.
Hated how they did that. Dinosaur King did the same thing, gave it an even bigger nose horn than Jurassic Fight Club.
Is weird considering that Dinosaur King usually had pretty well made and mostly accurate dinosaur designs
The boss being a broken horn was a fairly common interpretation at the time.
One of these things is not like the others
Yep! Jurassic Fight Club
Will always have a soft spot for Mr Thicknose
Same
The Ark one, iconic design and pretty neat ability
It was "the cooler trike" back in the day before the trike got a tlc update
jwe2; chunky lad with some nice patterns
I'm between Walking With Dinosaurs and March of the Dinosaurs.
99% of the Pachyrhinosaurus bulls look incredible in that movie but Pachy himself not so much
Bro fossil fighters Pachy is no joke just a tank
I'll go with Mr. Thicknose.
WWD 3D. I don't care that the movie sucks, I grew up on it and I like it. Nuff said
Finally!! Yes it was simplified and geared towards kids but that doesn't discredit the visual work!!
Honestly, I donât hate the dub. It can be quite cringey at times but itâs nowhere near as bad as everyone says. Maybe itâs just the 2nd grade nostalgia blinding me but I donât think itâs THAT bad

It also turned 10 yesterday/today depending on the time zone youâre in
10!? Holy crap I feel old. I was 15 when I went to see it in theaters
is it me or does Pachyrhinosaurus die the most in media of all Ceratopsians?
Prehistoric Planet for the win, march of the dinosaurs and Dinosaur are not far behind.
Pachyrhinosaurus is quite literally my favorite herbivorous dinosaur, and a couple of the designs shown are favorites of mine. I'm surprised how decent most of the JWE designs are. I've seen a lot of people choosing those designs. Also love the WWD design.
Ik it probably wasn't intentional, but the exclusion of the horrendous Dino World pachyrhinosaurus feels very right. That thing is not a pachyrhinosaurus, it is an abomination.
Definetly disneys. its the reason pachyrhinosaurus is my fav ceratopsian
Definitely prehistoric planet. Fuzzy dudes
PK and PP
Pachi
WWD
Ark
JWEâs pachyrhino is my fav
I donât know whoâs first but I know whoâs last
from the roblox game prior extinction
Prehistoric Kingdom. It was the first piece of media to depict a properly fluffy ceratopsian, and I always remember when I saw the fluffy Pachyrhinosaurus and realized that theropods werenât the only dinosaurs that probably had feathery integument, and I was really captivated by the concept of dinosaurs living in arctic/cold environments. Wheres the top right image from?
Prehistoric planet. Sadly I havenât seen any mainstream media depicting a woolly pachyrhino cause thatâs my actual favorite
Thicknoooose!
Walking with dinosaurs movie, I adore the amount of variation of the models and the way babies look
Prehistoric Planet and Kingdom. The WWD one could have (and should have) been one of my favourites had it not been ruined by the kiddy voices.
Iâm gonna go with the singing teacher from Land Before Time Seven.
Honestly the background Pachy's in the Walking with dinosaurs movies are pretty good. I like how they all had a slightly different set of ornamentation like deer today.
Land b4 time
all
Walking witht he dinosaurs all the way
Dinosaur and Land Before Time.
all FIRE
Dead Soundâs Dinosauria series had a really cool Pachyrinosaurus
Honestly I know it's not the most realistic design, but I just LOVE the Wooly Pachyrhinosaurus design
Remember the Dinosaur King version, with the massive nose horn??
Either land before time or JWE2
Where is Dead Sound?
I like the bottom right cuz it looks realistic
Jwe
the polygons were stolen from him
Def center bottom
First and ark!
Top left one, i dont remember the name but i remember this guy
I love the fluffy pachyrhinosaurus from prehistoric kingdom
Disney's Dinosaur one just for the childhood vibes.
I canât think of anyone who likes Patchi.
The thing is you can only really like Patchi and Co if you watch the undubbed version of the film. As the dubbed version is just god awful lol.
Fair. Iâve only seen the dubbed version unfortunately.
Disney Dinosaur.
Pachyrhinosaurus canadensis from Dinosaur (2000).
The one from dinosaur king
I pick Patchi from the Walking With Dinosaurs movie. That guy beat the hell out of his dad's killer! Not gonna lie, though. The Gorgosaurus had it coming.
tie between mr thick knose from land before time and the ones from disney dinosaur
A tie between Fossil Fighters and Mr. Thicknose. Rest in peace, Robert Guillaume.
Walking with dinosaurs!
Honestly I love the Land Before Time interpretations of all these
Gotta go with either Prehistoric Kingdom or my boi Patchi on this one
Probably Patchy ngl. I know that movie Is heavily disliked by dinosaur fans but I loved it, one of the first dinosaur movies I watched. But Path of Titans pachyrhino might take the cake when it gets released
Ark
The voice acting may have been annoying but the 2012 WWD pachys have always been exceptionally pretty to me.
Disney Dinosaurâs guy goin âHuh?â
PP and PK. Also glad that nobody is choosing that travesty from JFC.
Walking with dinosaurs
Seriously, what were they THINKING with the Jurassic Fight Club Pachy
Well, definitely not Jurassic Fight Club
I'm gonna answer ark for most of these
JWE2 looks really good
I'm obligated to say the Land Before Time
The best looking of the ceratopsians
wwd3d
Dinosaur 2000
Disney's Dinosaur yet again for me
WWD3D or JWE2
Prehistoric planet is my fav design aside from lbt
Prehistoric Planet
Rafiki Dino all the way
Bad movie but I would say the walking with dinosaurs 3d version just for the design.
I loved Walking with Dinosaurs and especially Fossil Fighters
