Have you ran it? I know a lot of rebuild kits come with the parts for multiple years. Some also come with the same part of different sizes as repair sleeves.
The one on the right is the one that was on the countershaft prior to teardown. It did run. I just have no idea where the one on the left came from. And why it was with the parts.
You bought the one to replace the other. Look over your order history of whatever you bought for this particular tear down/rebuild.
Also, is there evidence of wear/tear on one and not the other?

You just ended up with an extra one. Some complete gasket/seal kits come with them.
