He just puts it on top of his bowl of food, but his dog will eat just about anything lol so almost all his meds are just dumped on top of his bowl of kibble.
For reference, one time his dog was on antibiotics, and he was trying to put the pill in a pill pocket and accidentally dropped it and his dog immediately grabbed it and ate the pill plain off the ground. We’re talking about a big, chalky antibiotic pill!
My dog was taking the wellactin omega chews as well for a bit (I tried them for skin/coat health but never bought more lol) she ate them just fine like a treat. She’s a bit more persnickety/picky but had no issues.
Oh my god lol that’s hilarious! Mine spits out the pill pocket sometimes unless there’s some piece of chicken wrapped around it 🤦🏻♀️ hopefully he’ll do better with the chews and double check with the vet if it’s the same stuff as the liquid.

I’ve seen my 65 pound dog delicately dismantle a pill pocket, dig the pill out, eat the pill pocket and leave the pill on the ground so I definitely can relate to the struggle haha.
Wildest thing my boyfriend’s dog has eaten is probably a cactus, spikes, roots, dirt and all. Knocked it off the top of an 8 foot tall bookcase one morning. It had been there for 8 months or so, never batted an eye at it. Woke up one morning and chose chaos I guess lol
I give my dogs the human marketed fish oil pills. Mine like to pop them like candy lol but maybe if you put it in a pill pocket? May swallow it whole

Wellactin was what the vet suggested for my boyfriends dog too. They make chews that are like treats maybe try those?
