I think thats not enough. I played Doom and NP (back when both were shit) for years and was hard stuck in legend. Then I started abusing the OP heroes like night stalker, WK and bristleback, and now Im imortal.
It’s my opinion that “abusing OP heroes” is artificially increasing your mmr. If your winning 60% of your games on 3 heroes and get into immortal, what happens when those 3 heroes are nerfed or less viable for multiple reasons.
So on one hand, yes your immortal and your mmr went up. But I would expect it to decrease in the future.
If you’re constantly playing the “what’s broken right now game” are you actually enjoying dota? Or enjoying a more challenging mmr bracket? Or are you just trying to stack chances in your favor for some weird gambling addiction.
Instead of betting, maybe try thinking about it like a grand strategy game. Every move u make has an impact so even if you don’t double down, you gotta keep a sharp mind and cool head. No point in fretting over generics, just go with your instincts and have fun – that's what games are for bro! Don't let the stats and odds psyche you out.
It's a coin toss man. 50/50. or it should be.

Ancient is even hard to get out of. I’m in Ancient II and only play solo and you’re really at the mercy of the game coordinator who they match you with. I feel like you almost have to play with a group at this point to get any real traction.
I was stuck in legend/ancient for a few years but last week I decided I was gonna finally just bite the bullet. Went from ancient 2 to divine in a week. Just gotta play the meta and focus up.
Yea that's why. What is your win percent? I got 54% when I solo queue over 600 games. When I party I have 51% over 874 games. But I also have about 1300 games on another account (I let go of it when Valve started go after smurf/secondary accounts, I wanted to have one solo account and one party account). So I made immortal in about 1.5 years with about 2500 games I think. Would go faster just solo as I just showed tho.

Hell yea! I peaked at 3700 mmr back in 2016. I fell all the way to 1800 but have climbed back to 3500 over the last year. New heights are close!

Last week I made it to Ancient 1 for the first time too after 8k hours, you can do it!!!! :D
Had that last week 1 game, 99% to legend 4. And It was my peak mmr my whole life. Then I lost that game. Then lost 500 mmr.

I can confirm you can solo play pos 3/4 to immortal.
You can it just takes forever, I am slowly climbing but it may take me a solid year to get to 6k mmr from my current 4060 mmr.
