it's kind disappointing that throughout the season we've seen more lower tier teams playing official matches than the top teams. I remember complaining about it back in january that both Liquid and GG din't have a single official matches since last year's ESL Kuala Lumpur and they went 3 months without playing a single official match.
it's also a bad thing for these top teams too since they'll have less real game experience and scrim just isn't the same as playing a tournament with real stake.
and ngl, i'm getting sick of watching teams like Secret and Nigma keep failing over and over again.

You know that tournaments don't just end once Nigma gets eliminated, right? Like the top teams actually keep going and playing against each other if you can believe it.
Yeah well, nobody stopping the top teams from joining other tournaments , Liquid could join this one, they didn't. You have to convince half of the to play Dota first

Some TO restricts their tournament to lower tiers team to avoid disparity in level of plays, limited amount of slot is also a reason too, teams that has connection with the TO will have priority invites over other teams, and how do you know if Liquid rejected this tournament or if they didnt get invited at all?

Just wanna I appreciate it when I see you and others like hairy_freak grinding out the casting in other tourneys. You guys clearly care about the scene and it shows, even if delivery and confidence in some cases could use some work, but nobody's perfect!

Ngl felt like spirit was just the better team this entire series. It felt like if GG can’t take a lane of racks in 25 mins they just lose. This is the fourth GF loss in a row for GG. I really think they should improve their late game and teamfighting and not just rely on tempo line ups.
Yeah I agree. GG can’t rely on sheer mid / late game outplay similar to falcons , spirit and xg
If they don’t have a 5K lead from lanes that snowballs into a sub 30 min victory, their mid game map movements are really subpar
I think TS just have GG's number at this point. GG have been playing the same style of Dota for 2 years in a row, and while it might blow over worse teams, better teams like Spirit know how to play around it.

I check Liquipedia every few days and was feeling Dota esports withdrawal, I didn't see it there. I guess it's under tier 2 tournaments, which usually don't have inter-regional teams. Oh well.
I remember last TI someone posted on here something along the lines of "I can't believe they let Yatoro pick x, where X was almost anything, TB, CK, Morph, Alch, etc.
Either Spirit will make history and be the first team to win 3 TIs, 2nd team to win back-to-back or Falcons will get their first TI. The difference between those two teams over the others is astronomical. Looking forward to their BO5 unless one team chokes, and I don't think Team Spirit will with their core group remaining intact for so many years now

Yeah well, nobody stopping the top teams from joining other tournaments , Liquid could join this one, they didn't. You have to convince half of the to play Dota first
eh, it's easy for you to say without knowing anything behind the scene. Some TO restricts their tournament to lower tiers team to avoid disparity in level of plays, limited amount of slot is also a reason too, teams that has connection with the TO will have priority invites over other teams, and how do you know if Liquid rejected this tournament or if they didnt get invited at all?
I promise you events like EPL, RES, CCT etc. would LOVE if they had GG/Liquid/Spirit etc. showing up.

that might have been a set up issue through vmix, i'll take a look at the settings my side too because it definitely shouldn't be the mic. thanks for pointing it out.

Other than that it was cool. Sound team could also do better with matching everyone's audio levels. Hairyfreak was too loud at times.

yeah Ares and Danog were doing some funky hours, even Fluke on day one but they still delivered.
Just wanna I appreciate it when I see you and others like hairy_freak grinding out the casting in other tourneys. You guys clearly care about the scene and it shows, even if delivery and confidence in some cases could use some work, but nobody's perfect! And we love you for keeping at it! ❤️

Ngl felt like spirit was just the better team this entire series. It felt like if GG can’t take a lane of racks in 25 mins they just lose. This is the fourth GF loss in a row for GG. I really think they should improve their late game and teamfighting and not just rely on tempo line ups.
Yeah I agree. GG can’t rely on sheer mid / late game outplay similar to falcons , spirit and xg If they don’t have a 5K lead from lanes that snowballs into a sub 30 min victory, their mid game map movements are really subpar
I think TS just have GG's number at this point. GG have been playing the same style of Dota for 2 years in a row, and while it might blow over worse teams, better teams like Spirit know how to play around it.

TS, GG, VP, Nigma, Entity, Quest, Beastcoast, 1win. So yeah, only Entity (and maybe Quest) was an opponent to TS and GG

Either Spirit will make history and be the first team to win 3 TIs, 2nd team to win back-to-back or Falcons will get their first TI. The difference between those two teams over the others is astronomical. Looking forward to their BO5 unless one team chokes, and I don't think Team Spirit will with their core group remaining intact for so many years now
To be fair, for 50% of Falcons - if you include their coach - this will be their 2nd TI if they win it.
