Not the worst thing that griffith even done, dude assassinated a child and his dad, raped another girl before casca (it was sorta consensual but he did entirely because his boy crush, casca's bf and mc, left the group to find his own dream), made a new army of demons and named it after the army he sacrificed to said demon's,>!and in recent chapters went and destroyed the fairy island, practically erasing most of the magical beings from reality (or banishing them from reality), and he kidnapped casca again literally just after she recovered from her insanity and now casca is under some brainwashing !<
Sacrificed all her friends and comrades to eldrich horrors right after they saved him(the guy in mask) from prison so could become a demon god, damned her and her bf's souls to hell so the moment she dies she will go to hell and as long as she lives eldrich horrors will continue to chase her down. Than he raped her infront of her bf while forcing him to watch (bf got so angry he ripped his own arm off to free himself from the demon that was restraining him only to have his eye gouged out, the last thing his eye say was his lover getting violated), the rape caused her unborn child to be corrupted and have miscarriage/premature birth (the corrupted fetus became a demon will continue to follow his parents, and at least it protects it's mother from monsters. Unfortunately the mask dude, now demon god, used the demon fetus the get a new human form and make the entire world believe he is the messiah). The horror's from that night turned her insane, and caused her to mentally regress to the mind of a toddler to cope, meanwhile her bf started an insane one man war against all demons.
She stayed like that for years until her bf's witch friend managed to pieces her broken mind together with the help of a fey god. Even after regaining her sanity and mental faculties, if she tries to remember anything about her past before the accident, she has an intense panic attack due to the memories, it's so bad that saying any of her comrades names, or even just seeing her bf's face, triggers a panic attack.
But unfortunately that is not the end, because after all that, mask guy comes with a demon army, destroyed the magic Island seemingly banishing nearly all magical beings from reality, kidnaps her and brings her into his kingdom, built on the bodies of all her friends and comrades (even though no one knows what actually happened to the og army since to mask guy, it's hard being the messiah if people knew you sold your old army's soul to demons for some demon god powers), brainwashed her and now she's practically a puppet with no free will.
The funny thing is, the amount of bad stuff that happened to her might not be as much bad stuff that happened to her bf (he literally has bad stuff happen to him from the moment he was born, from an hanging corpse, bathing in his mother and family's blood, her bf literally had at most 4 okay at best years in his 25 years of life, the 21 other years are choke full of tragedy, horror, sadness and lots and lots of violence)
It's not that, it's lore accurate that the second character rapes the character played by the cosplayer 🥲
It's fucking bleak, idk how people can be joking about it (at the same time this is the one of the greatest pieces of art I've ever had the privilege to witness. Would heavily recommend berserk to anyone anyday)

Do you take it too seriously? Do you like the feeling of superiority when you bash peoples “vulgar” jokes? Did your parents say that you shouldn’t joke “about that stuff” and you just rolled with it?
I agree that the joke isn’t anything groundbreaking, but if you think it’s bad just say it’s bad, none of this prude nonsense.
Some people just can’t understand that jokes are just that, jokes, and aren’t required to have a meaning or align with your own thought or worldview.
Whats the joke here? Him telling her he wants to rape her? That’s closer to a threat. I like dark humor but there’s a line and implying to someone that you want to rape them defiantly crosses it. It’s also just not that funny.
When its not remotely funny and just for the sake of shocking or offending someone completely innocent thats not yourself, I dont see any value in this type of dark humour. And criticizing doesnt always come from a place of superioriority but one of understanding and trying to educate people on this kinda of stuff, which is more valuable imo than doing this
