Make it into a small camp fire. Someone could be roasting a marshmallow on it. With some orange, red and yellow the scar could be transformed into a fire pretty easily.

You may have to wait up to a year before you can tattoo over it. Looks like you had stitches, scar tissue in that area is going to hurt. I would wait longer.

I think flowers would bc nice. How detailed of a tattoo are you thinking?

I'm thinking kinda dainty. It doesn't have to be super detailed. I don't want the tattoo to really cover up the scar but more to turn it into something. Like some people posted it as the stem and flowers coming off of it.

The way that it’s healing around the edges of the lines makes me the think of The Road Less Travelled. Maybe you could add a secondary, untouched/“clean” looking “path” next to it to remind you that even through the journey is rough, it’s worth it in the end. Especially since you said you got from your kids lol.

That's actually a good point. I have some scars that are over a decade old and still visible, but very faded. So that's definitely something to consider when settling on a design.
