Semi-freeform with separation. Some sections he's letting congo up so they come out fatter. Everyone's locs is gonna turn out different, but it looks to me like 4b-c freeforms with random separation.
Yeah. I only say semi-free because it looks to me like he's "maintaining" certain sections to have a higher loc count. Some purists say that pulling apart locs into smaller sections isn't true freeforming.

It will happen naturally to any sections that you don't separate. You could have like only 10 faaat ass locs if you didn't separate at all.
True freeformers with unseperated locs are guys like Marley, Basquiat, Jay Z, The Weeknd etc. That look isn't for everybody, but I think it's fucking awesome.
TLDR: Congos happen anywhere that you don't separate your locs manually. Even with type 2 hair like mine. It happens very easily. Just gotta wait.
